Positive experience: A lot of people as expected but the two fly machines are always taken
Negative experience: Friendly but small, busy and badly maintained. Also, cables on the machines are too short for a big guy, I was unable to do cable rows.

Positive experience: The gym and the staff are ok, but i have a problem with my billing and have to call their customer service but after calling 3 times and waited for 15 minutes on every call the call wasn’t answered and my problem keeps hanging which is really frustrating

Fantastic experience: I’m a member of Fareham GymGroup but was visiting Newcastle for work so have been attending classes at Newcastle City GymGroup. The classes were very good. Lee was the trainer for most classes I attended- he was very friendly and ensured all of the group had the correct postures and were comfortable with the weights etc! The thing I love about GymGroup for me are the class times that fit in really well before and after work (I work 9-5).

Fantastic experience: Had my first 2 of many PT sessions with Rachelle this week and already loving it and it’s only going to get better! Lovely girl, really patient and informative. Can’t wait to keep training with her and see the progress. As for the gym itself nice and spacious and inclusive and great central location!

Fantastic experience: Been going to The Gym on and off for years (just whenever I get a burst of energy and decide I want to get fit for a little while) but I’d never go elsewhere, good value for all the things you can do here access to every equipment you’d possibly need and some great classes and even better staff members to help on hand. Special shout out to Dan who I am currently training with to help lose weight, guys always got so much time for everyone and is always so energetic and he’s really helping me in my journey (and making sure I stick with it this time and not sack anything off)

Negative experience: I only used it for a month, and they kept charging me for six months. In the second month, I contacted them by email, but no one replied. After I contacted them many times, I was told that the cancellation was completed in the sixth month. I tried to get the gym to refund me the middle portion of the fee, but again no one paid me any attention

Positive experience: Not a bad gym. Can get very busy given its location which can mean waiting around for machines given that if you're looking to use a weight machine there's likely only one. Plenty of treadmills though. Some of the equipment is in a bit of a state of disrepair, appearing a bit old but nothing that stops it working. The lockers are also in need of some TLC and it's often the first I go to use won't lock properly.

Fantastic experience: Best place to do your work outs
Positive experience: Lot of cardio machines so can use what you want despite it getting incredibly busy at times. Very warm with it being a basement gym & could do without the hordes of students stood around chatting, but still worth a gan thanks to fair pricing structure.

Positive experience: I've been here for little over a month now and I'm certainly pleased with the amount and quality of gym equipment on offer at the gym. The pricing is competitive and I've found that the gym isn't busy at all hours of the day, which I'd definitely say is a plus point. I must add though that the male toilets could do with a bit more TLC or upgrade to put it nicely. Overall I'd recommend The Gym Group.

Fantastic experience: Great gym with friendly, approachable and knowledgable staff. Clean equipment and most apparatus has doubles so there’s rarely any waiting time to use even during busy periods. It is spacious, well planned out with an inclusive atmosphere with inclusion to diversity that makes it an easy social environment for all shapes and sizes. Fantastic experience: I joined the Weights for Women class, and it has become my go-to class now! I really enjoy Rachelle’s classes, she is super encouraging and gives us motivation to complete the session. The workout routines change up a bit every time so you won’t feel bored, and you can add weights to your barbell according to your level. I feel empowered and ready to start my day!

Fantastic experience: This is one of best gyms in the Newcastle. The best thing about gym is Mr Sandor who is always most cruel to be kind while getting my sessions done. His sudden changes in reps while doing your set is my worst nightmare. But I still love him because he is very kind and funny too.

Fantastic experience: This gym is the most welcoming place full of good vibes and no judgements. The machine and weight selection is the best that I’ve experienced. I come in twice weekly to train with PT Rachelle and always leave with a smile feeling so much stronger and better about myself. Would recommend to anyone from/visiting Newcastle

Negative experience: I joined the gym early this month and after two days, they told me it's temporarily closed due to some technical issues. Then they reopened it without access to changing room and shower. Will not renew my membership given such poor conditions of the gym.

Fantastic experience: Good gym, quite spacious and decent equipment. It can get a bit crowded at times but you can use their app to check how many people are in the gym

Fantastic experience: Staff are amazing here, knowledgeable with regards to the equipment and also some are available as personal trainers. The kit here is like the other gyms, and lots of it.
