Positive experience: Been a member here now for a few years. Classes are good but can get samey. Enjoying the new classes of boot camp and boxercise. Especially Boot camp, where Ffion brings new workouts every week and had adapted sessions for my bad back limitations. Class teachers are generally good and motivational. The gym is generally better after it's makeover but lacks barbells that are lighter like they used to have, very much geared towards males. We returned to the swimming school when we realised Derek and Juliana were teachers here as well as at Corby. They are both fantastic swimming teachers and both my kids love them. They both have high energy and positive encouragement.

Positive experience: Badminton, good flooring, and lighting not too bad, nice and bright. Reasonable court prices

Fantastic experience: I'm trying adult swimming lessons to improve strokes and I'm pleased with the progress I've made with the help of Angela. 8 in the class, not all doing the same stroke but the techniques are broken down and we work on one thing at a time. Pool is saline with a small amount of chlorine which is not as irritating to the eyes or skin. Facilities are clean and lessons are £48 for 6 lessons.

Fantastic experience: State of the art centre that includes everything: pool, tennis courts, squash courts, football and rugby pitches among them. I was mostly impressed with the gym that has all the latest exercising machines plus many brand new squat racks with weights and barbells.

Fantastic experience: Beyond impressed with the excellent coaching my children having received for swimming. Derek & Juliana are dedicated, enthusiastic and motivated coaches. In just a few days they have help my children who’ve become shy in water to have confidence and most importantly enjoy swimming! Can not thank you enough! Also reception staff have been very helpful and efficient in answering queries and booking courses etc. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: This is a fabulous sports centre with table tennis tables, badminton courts in a large sports hall, 3 glass backed squash courts, gym, a swimming pool and outdoor tennis courts. There is a large car park including separate disabled spaces. The whole complex is very large and spacious, and is set in beautiful surroundings.

Fantastic experience: Contains one of the few public access swimming pools left in the area. Bromine pool rather than chlorine much kinder to both swimmers and their clothing. Only a shame that public swimming is limited to one or two hours each day unless you take out swim membership.

Negative experience: Very recently joined. The swimming pool is good....great lane swimming provision. The fitness gym is clean and tidy but has a strong bias towards free weight training, and as a consequence there is minimal fixed machine training resources that might appeal to wider and more novices audiences. Perhaps my greatest concern is the car parking in the evenings......extremely poorly lit and with many moving vehicles and pedestrians at peak times, it really is an accident waiting to happen.

Fantastic experience: Had a look around the new recently refurbished gym it looks very impressive. The rest of the facilities ie the pool squash courts, halls are well looked after. Overall its a great sports center including the staff

Positive experience: Facilities were decent, although I'm not a fan of the split changing room style into men and women - seems a bit pointless. Also lifeguards were not on it, and one removed lane ropes and signs whilst we were still in the pool and in session time, which seemed rude and unsafe.

Negative experience: I enjoy using the Uppigham School Sports Centre - where lovely Laura the receptionist is always there to greet me. Special mention to Brad - one of those leisure assistant boys, always helpful! However, the pool tends to get quite busy - and the pool will get very wavy as there aren't any lane ropes. Duty managers, take note.

Positive experience: Modern clean facilities. Our kids are learning to swim here. Plenty of parking. Vending coffee is take your own

Positive experience: Somebody had spilt the waste bag as they had taken it out and it had gone unnoticed for a while. The women's changing room smelled funny, told the lifeguard and he got someone to sort it.

Positive experience: Fantastic facilities here for squash, trampoline, footy, etc and swimming.

Positive experience: Great facilities; awesome location in the heart of Uppingham. Slightly pricey however, but does offer a swimming pool as well as tennis courts, as well as an indoor hall, squash courts and gym.

Fantastic experience: Excellent facilities. Attended the county schools championship. Helpful staff and events for primary children, extremely well organised. Would have been better if shade was provided on such a glorious day.
