Fantastic experience: Sadly this feels like a lifetime achievement to try membership at such an expensive club. But if it's worth doing then do it we'll. Fantastic experience: Farnham isn’t my local club, but I’d heard it had great facilities and wanted to go and try it out as I was in the area. Safe to say it met all my expectations and the staff were great. One of the managers Tom was really helpful in showing me around the gym briefly so I knew where everything was including the studios! I’ll definitely pop in again when I’m in the area, and feel much more confident doing so knowing where things are now!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely love the place Beth is a valuable member of staff who gives you a very good in site how the gym works and was so helpful throughout the whole signup process. Tom the Personal Trainer is also a great member of staff as he is very driven and willing to help me and my partner get ourselves into shape with his personal training sessions that we are doing with him. Since signing up me and my partner could say this is our second home as we are always here as much as we can.

Positive experience: Let's start with Beth on the membership team. Easy to work with and developed a plan that worked for me. 99% Staff friendly and helpful. The front desk staff are lovely. The venue is clean and tidy; the spa is kept immaculate. It would be five stars if rackets at the club had more structure and services. There is much to improve upon in this area.

Fantastic experience: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Fantastic experience and top-notch facilities! I’ve been a member of David Lloyd for a while now, and I can honestly say it’s one of the best clubs around. The range of facilities is impressive — from the state-of-the-art gym to the luxurious spa area, tennis courts, and swimming pools. Everything is always clean, well-maintained, and never too crowded, even during peak times. The staff are always welcoming, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful. Whether you’re new to fitness or a seasoned pro, they offer great advice and support. The variety of classes available is amazing — from yoga and Pilates to HIIT and spin, there’s something for everyone! The café/lounge area is also a nice touch — perfect for unwinding with a coffee or healthy snack after a workout. I’ve made great progress on my fitness journey, and I credit that to both the supportive community and the excellent environment. Highly recommend joining!

Positive experience: The kids club team do a great job and there are lots of family activities to keep the kids busy giving the grown ups time to exercise or relax in the spa

Fantastic experience: Took a club tour with Beth and felt so welcome from the moment I walked in. She really made me feel at ease and made the joining process a dream for me. Every question answered and every detail explained, Beth made me feel some comfortable. If you're reading this Beth thank you! I was given a PT session by Aaron during my first week and I felt like I progressed more in that session than in the whole 2 years I've been in the gym. Beth and Aaron thank you so much!

Negative experience: I used to really enjoying going to this gym, but the standard of cleaning have gone downhill, especially in the spa area. I complained with the management saying this was making contemplating leaving but they didn’t seem to care much, with my email being forwarded to membership team to proceed the termination.

Negative experience: Mens showers smell like blocked drains(sometimes horrendous) Staff are arrogant Far too over priced Never felt welcome! I got sold a lie! Any problems have not been dealt with professionally! Just strait to strong arming threats to cover thier ass! Despicable outfit!

Negative experience: Absolutely agree with rest of the comments about the facilities at the centre, nevertheless, from my opinion how ever classy and elegant the centre maybe without respecting a fellow human being in relation of whatever ethnicity, colour or race, end of the day it will doom to failure. Not a great experience today after taking out 3.5 hours of our Sunday for a tour: 1) Nothing that I requested and quoted in the initial enquiry form has been followed. (even after multiple times my daughter reminded, I could have happily spent the time at my current club with my daughter) 2) What was quoted by David Llyods in the enquiry form has been abided by 3) Finally, conversation felt as if "can you afford to join the gym". Yes absolutely, I cannot afford to join such a non inclusive setting.
Fantastic experience: Having been enticed by the amazing facilities on the website, from the gym to the spa, I went to have a tour at the club with Beth. I made it clear from the outset that I had concerns over the price, especially given my existing gym was only 20% of the price. Beth and the rest of the team are knowledgable, helpful and, well frankly, good. It only took about a 40 mins tour of the club and I was signed up. I’ve been every day since and couldn’t be happier. Thanks Beth. You’re very persuasive, but it was worth it!

Fantastic experience: I don't normally write reviews but I had to this time . I can't speak highly enough of Louise in sales and marketing at David Lloyd Farnham . I have been a previous member at David Lloyd Raynes Park several years ago then family life and work took over and I just didn't have the time to do a membership justice ! Role on a few years and I am back , this time in Farnham. From the second I stepped into reception and met Louise any stress from work , family life etc just melted away . Louise was not only very knowledgeable , but enthusiastic , friendly and listened to what I wanted from a membership . At no point did she pressure me to join just remained helpful . I decided to join and it couldn't have been easier . Everything is done via a very easy link /App which immediately works once you have completed it and I used the spa the very same day . Louise is an absolute credit to David Lloyd Farnham and I can not review or recommend her enough . Thank you Louise .

Positive experience: DL Farnham is great except for: cafe/restaurant service area are very poorly run. I am their member for eons and noticed that these aspect of Farnham branch is going downhill for some time. Understaffed, they don’t clean tables for hours, hectic, messy, slow service. Unpleasant and there is a vibe “no one cares”. That’s why I only buy take away coffee there. Please improve!!!!

Fantastic experience: Excellent facilities, spa is fabulous, instructors for the gym classes were great, including an excellent onboarding from Louise, who helped us talk through our options without rushing us, and walked us through all the things we needed to know to make the most of our membership!

Fantastic experience: Recently I decided that I wanted to join a David Lloyd Club. So I enquired on their website. That same day I was contacted by one of the Sales Team, Beth. Beth was friendly on the phone. She was efficient and accommodating in setting up a tour of the Facility at Farnham. Me and my partner initially couldn’t make the first appointment and had to reschedule. Beth was understanding of this and friendly over the phone. Before the tour my partner was apprehensive about joining the club. However after the tour with Beth both me and my partner were convinced to join! Beth was amazing throughout the whole experience and convinced us that joining David Lloyd would be worth our time and money. Addressing all our questions and concerns during the tour and again was very friendly and made the tour a fun experience. A great ambassador for David Lloyd Clubs.

Positive experience: Great facilities, the foot baths weren’t working but other than that all facilities were lovely and up and running and it wasn’t too busy! Worth paying the £40 for the spa!

Fantastic experience: First visit to David Lloyd Farnham and WOW!!!! Excellent service from the lady on the bar in the spa who helped us choose a super tasty snack to enjoy with our peppermint tea as one of our party had a nut allergy she was really attentive and patient when we couldn’t decide!! The spa itself was very clean and when we were looking for the citrus steam room a lady called Helen was so helpful not only showing us where it was but also talked to us about all the other facilities within the spa that we hadn’t tried yet!! Can’t wait to return!!!!

Fantastic experience: Wow what a lovely club! We went to the Spa and it was amazing! All the different steam rooms, saunas and pools are so relaxing! Would definitely recommend the citrus steam room and the infinity pool to relax in while reading a book. Was so lovely chatting to Helen in the club room while chilling with a refreshing smoothie. Couldn’t recommend this club enough!

Fantastic experience: Visited for the day to experience the spa and had a great time! The infinity pool was so peaceful and the lemon steam room with ice afterwards felt amazing. All facilities were so clean and the staff very friendly and helpful, special thanks to the host on the bar who was especially helpful with dietary needs! Lovely to chat to Helen in the clubroom whilst waiting for our delicious pizza. Will definitely be back soon!!

Fantastic experience: Excellent gym, super modern, spacious, and great range of equipment. Spa and swimming pool are really great too, seems to have everything. We’re very new to the gym, so were a bit apprehensive about joining. Louise was excellent for showing us around and answering all of our questions. Did a great job of explaining everything where we felt very comfortable to take the plunge. Having the app and a few personal training sessions included in our sign up has been great for spelling everything out for us. Feeling really comfortable here and looking forward in getting to grips with everything. All the staff have been super friendly and accommodating, couldn’t recommend it more.

Fantastic experience: We went as we were looking to join as a family to give us options for activity we can do together and individually, especially through the school holidays where we can take the youngster and work from the club. Beth was awesome showing us around. Very knowledgeable, loyal to the brand and enthusiastic. A great advert for the business. Brilliant facilities all round, clean, well maintained and staff looked engaged and happy. We ended up signing up for all of these aspects, but also because many of the other comparable gyms were overly restrictive with not allowing our 14 year old in the gym or to do classes. Fantastic experience: I was a member of a smaller gym years ago but had to stop going for various reasons. Recently started a new job so have a bit more spare money so I went in for an induction/introduction session where Beth in sales showed me around and put me at ease considering how embarrassingly rusty I am! Fantastic experience: Came in today having never been at a gym before and despite being nervous Beth made me feel at home. I booked a PT session included in my sign up and can’t wait to get some support going forward and to use the spa

Fantastic experience: I contacted David Lloyd Club Farnham and was given an appointment the very next day to come in person and view the facilities. Due to my circumstances I had many questions regarding membership, all of my questions were answered fully and any prior concerns about membership were put to bed. Louise was really helpful ensuring I got to view the whole club even accommodating a family emergency in the middle of the appointment! I liked it that much I joined and immediately was allowed access and spent Time using the facilities. Thanks to Louise for making it a seamless and easy going process. Positive experience: Have been a member for a few months now. Can't fault the facilities themselves but the food and drink service at the till is always incredibly slow and clearly understaffed. So much so I had the time to write this review! To be clear, staff themselves always very pleasant, are working hard and don't seem to have a spare second - Dave could just do with forking out a bit more for more staff!

Fantastic experience: So happy I got a membership that allows me to go to multiple clubs - I come to Farnham for a spa break and get the same facilities that you’d pay £200 a day for elsewhere. No complaints!

Negative experience: Awful awful experience! We paid the top tier family membership. Classes always full- gym busy with influencers-wana-be- classes for kids- shocking- no structure- boredom- for swimming lesson and tennis lesson you have to pay extra- on top of 4K annual membership! Won’t even mention the spa which is filthy and used as a private baths for the travellers community! Avoid!

Positive experience: I joined your club couple of weeks ago and India was soo lovely and patient when explaining how the club works. Overall I have enjoyed coming to the club. The intro and cardio tennis were great, yoga classes were good. Spa area is very good. I do have 2 major concerns I hope can be addressed 1) indoor pool water temperature is too low. I have read other reviews on google and noticed I am not alone in thinking it is too cold in the pool. I was a member of Nuffield Health before where the water temperature was perfect. In David Lloyd’s is as freezing as in council run pools. 2) The air conditioning is broken in your low energy studio. About a week now. It is more than unpleasant and there is no information when it will be fixed. I have cancelled one of classes I was booked in and was issued with first cancellation notice warning me if I do it 3 times in a month I would lose ability to book for a week. How is this my fault that the studio has unacceptable temperature? Tried to post this first to you directly but your app does not work properly

Positive experience: Not a great experience, and haven’t got through the door yet!! Can’t get hold of Sales on the phone, and can’t have a look round without one of them “guiding “ you. I’ve been using gyms for 30 years… I don’t need a sales pitch… and for the money I’d expect it to be staffed sufficiently that someone could always answer the phone!

Positive experience: OK facilities. Members are needing some re-education. Nearly got killed by woman driving whilst on phone! Lots of inconsiderate parkers! Quite a few bits of equipment not working still.

Fantastic experience: I have been a member for 5 years and during my time at DL the gym and spa have been refurbished and it is a great place to be! I love Emily Butler’s classes and have also been fortunate enough to do some PT classes with Emily, she is fab! Super motivating and a pleasure to be around

Fantastic experience: I often use the gym and pool facilities here and they are top quality. The gym has everything I need and the trainers are always very open to answer my questions and help where necessary.

Positive experience: Pros: -clean -good class instructors -wonderful staff at Creche -nice pools for the children Cons: -being suspended from the classes for a week. I had to drop off the baby at creche for 9:30 when the class starts at 9:35 (cyclone). Then having to give a handover at Creche and sign baby in, it all takes time! Firstly, often don’t get car park space for families. Park the car far from entrance. Seen before some members leaving the gym without the children and going to family car park to get their car. One of the incidences , was that I was running 2 minutes late for cyclone class and someone had already taken my bike! Especially when I booked 1 week in advance and paid for the Creche class this was frustrating. The instructor had mentioned before that I must arrive 5 minutes earlier before the class starts. How that’s possible when one has to drop off the child? Sometimes I have to come with all my 3 small children and having to drop at Creche and squad for 9:30 or 10:30 slots when the class is due in 5 minutes. It should be a leeway for the parents with the kids at Creche. Especially if one is a regular member for a specific class. And I have already experienced 3 incidences like this. Understandably if late for 5 min and miss a warm up But if late 1 or 2 minutes or come right on time and still having your bike being taken whether at cyclone or rhythm class. The other time I had to arrive to the class with my baby and bags just to put a bottle and towel to secure a bike. It’s a very stressful experience when one suppose to relax and enjoy. If I don’t get a creche booked (every night having alarm on at 7pm and still not always possible to book), sometimes I don’t cancel the class. Sometimes the creche is available on the day. If not possible to get creche then I have to cancel the class on the day which results me receiving an email notification about 3 missed classes. Previously, I was a member of David Lloyd’s gym in Woking and Creche was available every time. After being suspended for a week, I tried to book my 5 year old for scooter squad. Unfortunately I was unable to book him in because he was automatically suspended too. The kids should not be penalised especially that he had not missed his squads before. I tried to speak about it to the reception staff but unfortunately they weren’t able to help out with this. And I didn’t receive a call back as promised. Even if suspended, I still can use the gym but what to do for 5 year old when he can’t go to any of the classes that is suppose to be available when paying for his membership. Being a family club, there are still some improvement needed. To start with to have empathy for the mothers and dads especially with small children who have to rely on much needed childcare. Despite of my mother being a member of David Loyds in different locations for over 20 years and boasting how wonderful they are, I specifically joined David Lloyds because they provided creche (unlike other gyms). I had higher expectations. Despite of this issue, if I am lucky and have all booked in, I am satisfied member with all the facilities and professionalism you provide.

Fantastic experience: I've been a member of David Lloyd for just over three weeks and am absolutely loving it. Even thought the car park seems to be constantly full, the centre is so big and people are so spread out, the inside never feels crowded. There's a really pleasant happy vibe to the place. I was already sold on joining before the end of my tour of the centre with Beth. However she did have to bully me in to taking up my initial PT sessions (!) and I have my last one today with Tom. Beth has followed up with me on several occasions to ensure I am happy with everything and I think this review says it all. Tom has been the icing on the cake; a great listener and communicator and very motivating. He has taken on board my existing injuries and is very knowledgeable about what muscles I need to work on. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: I had my first visit to the club at Farnham I had no idea what I was doing or where I was going, cue a very bubbly, helpful receptionist (I think her name was Ella) she was a font of knowledge and showed us which way to go and how to get into the spa. On our way out she even remembered my name and asked if I had enjoyed my first visit. Thank you for making my visit enjoyable. DL what a fab team member you have there!

Fantastic experience: I've just finished my 2 week trial membership and tried various aspects of the club. I really liked the family gym floor sessions and the badminton social match session. Ultimately joined as a member and find it good for the whole family.

Fantastic experience: David Lloyd Farnham is an absolutely stunning club and THE place to be. The sales team make you feel welcome and informed from the get go and make sure you will get everything you could possibly need from the club. And the spa.. this will sell the club to you without even seeing the rest. Blaze is also a must have in your membership, think Barry’s boot camp but in Farnham with unlimited access!! The ONLY health club you need!

Positive experience: Updated review. I can’t seem to amend my one from a few weeks ago. We have now been members for 2 months. Pros: - good indoor and outdoor pool - easy to work there (good wifi, coffee, lots of other people on laptops) - app is easy to use - kids pools are brilliant Cons: - very hard to park on Fri/Sat/Sun mornings - the activities for 3-5 year olds are wildly unstructured, absolutely nothing like as described as is offered on the app when booking. They are essentially crèche sessions for around 20 children, with a vague focus, very lightly supervised by two staff who are barely out of their teens. Quite disappointing as one of the main reasons we joined up was for these activities; we have tried most of the 3-5 year old ones now more than once so I know this isn’t an isolated incident. They should either amend the booking details on the app of what is offered in the sessions, or hire some trained childcare/activity staff that are actually able to offer what is promised. - weekend mornings in the soft play can be feral; one weekend there was a child (around age 6) in there with a large plastic trident weapon, threatening younger children while his father played on his phone, the following weekend there were 3 or 4 boys of the same age in there with long plastic swords, waving them around at the other kids. The General Manager was helpful but said he couldn’t control the area as it was supposed to be under parental supervision. Choose your times wisely!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing! The Champagne bar in the spa is such a great idea. It's a shame I have to drive to get there (probably a good thing, though). Citrus Steam was my favourite and the mezzanine floor allowed me to take a quick nap. It was not too busy at all! Team Members were also incredibly friendly - reception kindly pointed me out towards changing room and bar team was super friendly and efficient too!
