Sponte Sua Gym: Opinions
Fantastic experience: The most welcoming, inspiring and age-inclusive environment to exercise I have ever been to, just in the heart of Colliers Wood! It has nothing to do with the cold and impersonal gym spaces in the wider area!! I am 32 years old and I finally found the right place and the right coach to develop my strength, stability and flexibility through the rhythmic gymnastics and the strength and stretching classes at a reasonable cost as well! I have no words to express how lucky, impressed and grateful I am! The space, always spotless, offers a wide range of brand new apparatuses and equipment, while my coach, Vessi, always creates a high energy and high enthusiasm coaching environment through tailored training and insightful cues to ace each exercise! The overall experience has exceeded my expectations. Thank you!
Thank you for your kind review!, We are very happy that you enjoy our classes.
Fantastic experience: They have rhythmic and artistic gymnastics which is great and you can choose or do both. We love it
Fantastic experience: Lovely place and friendly environment. The coaches are great and you can see that they really care for the kids and teach them to perform everything in a correct way
Fantastic experience: Great Place for your children to learn both Rhythmic and artistic gymnastics! I love that there 2 types of gymnastics and the kids can try both and see what they like the most. The coaches are great and most importantly professional and make sure that your child learns to do everything correctly. Can't say anything bad
Fantastic experience: We love this gymnastics club! The coaches are lovely and very professional. They really teach the kids the right way! They show everything step by step
Fantastic experience: The kids love going there! Great place and amazing coaches
Fantastic experience: GREAT PLACE! I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT IT
Fantastic experience: I joined the adult gymnastics classes at their Wimbledon venue in May 2021 and have thoroughly enjoyed every session. All the coaches are incredible and provide so much guidance, encouragement and support. A special shout out to Julieta, who made every session special! Can't wait to return in autumn!!
Dear Anion, Thank you for your kind words. We are very glad that you enjoy all our classes.

Hi Robert Thank you very much for your kind words.
Fantastic experience: Great gymnastics club! Very professional
Fantastic experience: Very professional club
Negative experience: Vile place, disgusting management service Refusing for my 4 years old child to attend 4 classes up to end of term, just because she has no uniform. Even though all class and membership payment had been paid into account,, Rejecting a family/child because they have made a financial decision not to purchase the uniform because child only has 4 classes left before end of term. It is absolutely disgraceful and in no way to you conduct a service in this way.
Dear customer, We are sorry to hear you are disappointed. It was very clear in our information sent before attending a trial class that all gymnasts training at our club need to wear the club uniform. We value every child in our club but we have to be fair with all our customers. If we allow your child to train with her own clothes then we have to allow all others to do the same and our classes will not have the same quality of service we provide. We are glad that your child enjoyed our classes very much and this is important for us. It is essential in our club to have parents who support our training philosophy.
Negative experience: Terrible club, the equipment is trash, can say that for sure being one of the former students. The teachers don’t teach! I have asked to teach me a back handspring for about a year and they said that “I wasn’t ready”. When I left the club and changed to another one I learnt it in 2 lessons. 2!!! After one more it was polished and I got my round off back handspring. Not a club for kids who actually want to learn some gymnastics...
Dear Dina, We are sorry to disappoint you. You haven been a gymnast in our rhythmic squad winning medals in London Gymnastics and then moving to general gymnastics we have not expected to hear this words from you, when also your mom gave to the club 4 starts a while ago. Your coach in general gymnastics was teaching you backflips when you have attended. Of course if you miss lot of lessons and weeks of training -as you did-, you can not improve as you expected. In our club we will not perform certain skills if you miss training session and/or the muscles and posture are not ready, either if you want. Backflip is not easy to perform correctly. In Sponte Sua Gym the professional coaches will teach a correct skill, not just a flip backwards.
Negative experience: Club is very poor for the following reasons:- 1) It's only about getting the money out of us parents "screw the child that wants to learn gymnastics". 2) My daughter asked at the the begin of the year to learn to do a "no handed cartwheel", but they never told her how to do it, or were willing to teach her. Two years later, and doing an extra class during the week, they still refused to teach her that. So she finally quit the club! 3)If you want to throw your money away and your child time (1 hour per lesson), then go to this club, as they will tell you that the more classes your child does, they maybe able to do competitions (whatever that is). But they don't explain to you that it's impossible because they are not good enough or for some reason your child doesn't do enough lesson etc etc! By the way, my daughter learned to do a "no handed cartwheel" by herself.
Dear Cyril, We are sorry to disappoint you about your child's improvement. We have a great recreational level for 1 or 2 hours training a week. Our coaches will improve with the children as far as they are ready to move to the next skill. Training 2 hrs per week does not mean that a child can do aerials in a couple of terms. Higher skills levels needs a good technique, previous physical preparation and previous skills knowledge. Our club does not teach flips or aerials until the child is ready to do so. We care for all our members safety. Regards, SSG.
Negative experience: Our two daughters have been members of this gymnastics club for some time. The gymnastic instruction itself is good but Sponte Sua's attitude towards their customers really lets them down. The problem is that Saturday classes get cancelled fairly regularly. This isn't a massive problem in itself but what is annoying is the fact that they never refund you for the missed classes. They offer you an 'alternative slot', which (if, like most people, you have other things on during the week) is never convenient . When you explain this and ask for a refund get an attitude of 'tough luck'. If you book Saturday classes then beware of this issue.
