Fantastic experience: Go here weekly to Aquafit classes. Great venu, friendly and professional staff, and the cafe is very reasonably priced. Their full gym membership is probably the most reasonably priced in the area covering many classes and the use of all gym equipment and specific times for use of the pool to.

Fantastic experience: The best all round leisure centre around with friendly knowledgeable staff

Positive experience: Brilliantly attended, helpful staff, very clean warm pool. Only criticism is the changing rooms. Saturday family swims invariably see the male changing rooms shared with young females which isn't ideal, yet there are no unisex ones. Having to get changed in the toilet to avoid getting undressed in front of a 12 year old girl is not great.

Fantastic experience: Just how I remember it as a kid, which... really isn't a bad thing! Bought a pool and gym membership a month ago for a reasonable £30p/m, and I regret nothing! FOH, lifeguards and staff in general are incredibly personable and polite. Facilities itself are absolutely fantastic. While walking through the building will send you on a nostalgia trip straight into the 80s/90s (which I quite like), the pool is stunning, as is everything else. The pool is incredibly clean, a lovely temperature, with regular (multiple/day) public lanes sessions with lanes for all speed. The swimmers are just as lovely as the pool, making for a welcoming environment all-round. Even my somewhat-affluent girlfriend was very impressed when she came down from Bournemouth, and you'd expect Bournemouth to have something bigger/better. Something can be said for Osprey, and it's something the modern world lacks. It's not fancy, there's no selfie lighting, and there's no gimmicks. Just the best pool in the county, lovely staff, and a great environment. Job done.

Fantastic experience: Nice pool, Warm temperature, changing rooms a bit dated but clean and tidy, free hairdryers which work, communal changing area, plenty of lockers (£1 token or coin returned) mainly communal showers except for 1 separate private one. Free parking while using facilities.

Fantastic experience: I attended water polo so didn't really pay or use facilities.... Outdoor place to sit and eat. Staff were friendly and helpful. Centre looked good. Pool was ok Parking was difficult. Centre park was full. Limited Street parking. Expensive pay car park. We found last Street parking spot.

Fantastic experience: Great gym for weight and interval training, as well as a solid setup for callisthenics. Well managed by friendly staff who know their stuff. Manages to balance between respect for Covid 19 etiquette, without wrapping the place in so much red tape it becomes difficult to access or stressful. Very reasonable monthly membership.

Fantastic experience: Used to love coming swimming here, personally I really like the pool. I used to swim here when it was known as Bosqowen (probably butchered the spelling) and used to be a member. To be honest I don't know how it is for anyone with a disability though as I don't remember it being the most disable friendly though I could be mistaken. The gym is alright, though there are better places on Portland to go, but if it's your local or if you didn't know it had a gym then pop on down, it isn't bad by a long shot and it has a fair amount of equipment. The major plus to this gym is that you can go for a shower and swim after which is a lifesaver and super relaxing if you have had a big session. They have different sports that they also do here, but I've never actually given them a go, but it's good to know if you are looking on taking up a new sport, so I'd look into it if you're interested.

Negative experience: Very disappointed with the service received from the General Manager last night. We booked a court for volleyball and the net was not put up for us, so by the time we managed to sort by having to go and get tools from home as the staff could not help, we were told to take it down! Don’t offer a service you cannot provide please in future. Thank you for refund but also understand we had to pay petrol costs and some of us don’t live locally. Other venues have been very good with assisting and making sure net up before we start.

The cafe is great for lunch my son loves a bacon roll after swimming....hoping to find some time to myself and enjoy some of the other activities they have there.

Negative experience: Badly in need of repair and smartening up. If it wasn't for the swimming teacher I would not visit here again.

The Osprey leisure centre is a charity with profits going back into the business. Very good value for money. Lunch menu includes lasagne, soup, quiches, and breakfast

Positive experience: Local community sports complex with pool. SCUBA instructors use the pool on Tuesday evenings 20:30-21:30 for beginners. Experienced divers join them to test new equipment. The state of the facilities is "tired" I only give it a 4 because it is the only available pool in the area.

Positive experience: I have not used all the facilities here. The company I work for used an office space for a staff meeting and I had lunch in the cafe after. Everyone is polite and it's a clean and tidy place
