Fantastic experience: Honestly the best gym I’ve ever been to. The facilities are amazing, really lovely atmosphere, and super friendly staff. There’s always a hello and goodbye, and amazing service if you need anything. The gym floor is well equipped, and unless it’s super peak time there’s always lots of machines and space available. The changing rooms and showers are well done and always clean, and the pool/spa area is a particular highlight. I’ve used other gyms but always come back to David Lloyd. Yes it’s pricier, but you really do get what you pay for. I had three welcome PT sessions with Liv and she was super friendly and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

I was worried I would not be able to cope as I have a degenerative health condition, but everyone has been helpful and ensured I had adaptations that worked for me.

Fantastic experience: Gym excellent, length swimming in the pool in so good compared to anywhere else in Swindon. Played badminton which has plenty of opportunities per week to play. Spa facilities are very good. Everything clean, neat and tidy. All staff very friendly especialy the reception staff who greet you with a smile when you arrive and are always pleasant when you are leaving. Jack is always very friendly and fun to talk to. Food and drink service has been very good and the food we have had has been very tasty and good value for money. All in all, can't wait for my next visit.

Fantastic experience: More than a gym. This place is great, the gym is excellent, the spa is brilliant / relaxing, pools are great, loads of tennis courts and other stuff. Restaurant / cafe / bar is also good, plus it’s a decent place to do a few hours of work. Staff are the icing on the cake.

Positive experience: Been a member at David Llyod for a few months now, it is definitely worth it! The facilties are great, classes are easy to book onto and the swimming is lovely for us and My family. Jack on the sales team has been super helpful at getting us sorted and making us feel welcome! There are also really friendly staff on the reception who are always so kind when you come in and leave. Liv is a fantastic personal trainer who is supportive kind and really helped get my confidence up in the gym!

Negative experience: David Lloyd Swindon are part of a money grabbing company who are primarily seeking to maximise their profits, not provide a relaxing leisure club. Yes the facilities are good, however be aware of their approach to membership clauses which attempt to screw you for fees which are either illegal ortrumped up They then threaten to sue you through a cowboy outfit called A R Debt collection whose main aim is to hound, bully and harass you into paying the illegal claims which is in itself a crinal offence Be aware that David lloyd make it impossible for you to sort this because both the club at Swindon and their membership HQ purposely structured to play you off one against another My advice go to a leisure centre where you are seen as a member not as a source to screw as is the case with these people

Fantastic experience: This is by far the best fitness club/gym I’ve ever trained at. All staff is very friendly and helpful. Jack in particular is a great communicator and nothing has been too much trouble for him. The facilities are brilliant! The pool never too busy to have a good training session. The spa is a great place to relax and gym has all the high sec equipment anyone can wish for. The club has a great vibe to it and is a place to train and relax in equal measure.

Negative experience: I’m visiting the area through work. I arrived with a guest pass and I wasn’t allowed inside without a current member, despite having done so at this club twice before. The manager implied I was attempting to maliciously gain entry but I feel this was prejudice against my non-local northern accent. I was made to feel like a villain. I asked if I could purchase a day pass but they didn’t offer.

Fantastic experience: I absolutely love being a member at David Lloyd there is so much to do both by myself and as a family . The girls love the crèche and kids club there is so much on offer for children of all different ages Sophie and the kids club team are amazing . My PT sessions with Dom are incredible his knowledge is second to none and makes coming into the gym such an enjoyable experience.

Fantastic experience: Joined DL nearly a month ago and really happy. The whole setup is excellent, the App is great, food & drinks amazing, staff kind and attentive and a special mention for Hannah who i've had 3 amazing sports massages with, Hannah is extremely friendly, knowledgeable and puts you at ease right from the start. Not had a SM before - Listened to the ongoing issues i've been having and got straight to work knowing exactly what to do. I will definitely be booking in again with Hannah and recommend to anyone considering a sports massage.

Fantastic experience: Since joining the gym we have received nothing but outstanding service from every member of the team . All staff go out of their way to help you and make sure you have everything you need or you know how to get it. My children are so happy here and ask to go every day. Jack from sales is amazing and as my husband wasn’t there when we joined Jack took him on a tour round of the gym and all the facilities and made sure he was confident and happy before his Monday morning class. Fantastic experience: Feedback for the AMAZING creche team - Irene, Gemma, Jane, Jess and the team are the most welcoming happy and caring team there is! Making mum life possible - caring for both my lil ones since they were very tiny giving, me the opportunity to work out. Both my girlies adore them, they both come out smiling after having a fun play with the team and we can’t thank them enough! The girls always look forward to their play session, and the creche team are the main reason we are members of the gym so thank you team!

Fantastic experience: I was extremely nervous entering David Lloyd for a look around, but a lovely lad called Jack put me at ease. He was so knowledgeable and answered all my questions and fully explained the joining process.

Fantastic experience: Great club, all the staff are very friendly and welcoming. Facilities are very good and the team are always happy to help if you have any issues. My young children love it there and often ask to go to "club". My oldest child (3) regularly attends DL kids and absolutely loves it, he struggled with drop off at first and all the staff were very patient with him. Overall experience far exceeds anything I was expecting before joining. Platinum membership is great value for money given the access to clubs and tennis courts etc - towels and swim nappies provided each visit is a great feature especially for families. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Joined recently and already been every day, more than just a gym. The facilities are top notch, the staff are always friendly and helpful and because there is so much to do there, it’s never packed even when the car park is busy. Big thanks to Jack Dyer from the sales team, we were away on holiday when he emailed my partner (she was already a member and Jack knew I was interested in joining), to tell her that the half price joining fee was ending soon. I was able to join online while still on holiday and everything was sorted long before I got back. Jack didn’t have to do this so clearly he went out of his way for this so I was able to take advantage of the deal. It’s expensive to be a member but well worth it, and the cost will ensure I get my monies worth! Thanks Jack and all the staff, highly recommend this place.

Had a great experience looking around the club prior to joining where a sales member - Jack explained to me the joining process and how different membership options work. Thanks Jack! Fantastic experience: One thing annoys me about David Lloyd. Why has it taken me over half a century to find this place! The gym is excellent, the spa is great, but will be even better after the refurbishment this year, restaurant area great. Classes very different to the average gym class, far more engaging. But where it really excels, is in the people. David Lloyd is a club for people who want more than just a gym, or health club, or spa. Many gyms can be a little soul destroying - everybody in their little bubble, wearing their headphones, looking at their smartphone, and no human contact. David Lloyd has a very different vibe. It's the people - members, and staff. The staff have to be great to create this environment, and the members are great, the people who want to be pleasant, sociable, and fun. That's before we even get started on the family friendliness, the possibility to 'work from home' at the club, etc. I think when you begin to understand what makes it special, if it's right for you, it goes from being expensive, to being incredibly good value!

Fantastic experience: Everyone at the club are always so friendly and welcoming. It's a great place to come to work out with a huge variety of classes, my favourite is Blaze or a chill out in the pool and spa. It caters for everyone including my two boys that I've also recently joined.

Negative experience: Visited the family pool yesterday May 31 2024. The pool inside was covered with mould between the tiles. The whole pool area was not looked after. Mould everywhere!! I could not believe my eyes. Members pay a good amount with their membership and I can’t understand why David Lloyd can’t look after their pools. All the metal parts were rusty, mould on the ceiling in the shower. It’s disgusting, you need to do something about this. Health and safety?

Fantastic experience: I just signed up to David Lloyd's, and I have to say the journey on becoming a member was incredible. I was contacted by Katrina Robinson, who was the best sales consultant I've had in my life. I wanted to sign me, my wife, and my 2 boys. My boys are autistic and it's challenging to find a good place to swim. Katrina was amazing. She made it so easy and comfortable for us. She let us have a day to swim and use the facilities before we made our decision. My kids enjoyed it so much and now I am a member. Thanks again Katrina :) Mo

Fantastic experience: We joined David Lloyd as a family a few months ago and have been loving it ever since. The facilities are great, staff are lovely and it is ideal for the kids. We were really pleased to see activities for the younger children/toddlers at the recent bank holiday event. Would recommend to anyone thinking of joining.

Fantastic experience: I have recently joined David Lloyd Swindon and I absolutely love it there, it’s the perfect working-out environment for me. The app is easy to use, I love the verity of classes on offer, all current and on trend, all instructors give it their all and get the best out of everyone attending their classes. Great spec in the gym, great to have the option of an indoor or heated outdoor pool with good water quality. Super clean spa, changing rooms and showering facilities…and lastly, how could I not mention the helpful friendly staff that can’t do enough for you, lovely to get greeted with a smile, hello or good bye, thank you all and to Jasmine for getting me onboard as a David Lloyd member :-)

Fantastic experience: Pleased to have joined recently. The club has some great facilities and atmosphere. It’s certainly more lifestyle than just a gym. Signing up with Jack helping us was an easy process too.

Negative experience: This is our second year being members here, unfortunately it just seems to be going down hill. We pay allot for the membership myself my wife and our child but lately there are so many members that it doesn't make it feel anywhere near worth paying the very high price for. -The gym is rammed unless you go after 8pm or in the middle of the day, I've been to cheap gyms that are less busy. -classes are nigh impossible to constantly book unless you are waiting until midnight 7 days before to book a slot. -kids extra classes like tennis and swimming are similar price to non David Lloyd classed but your paying a monthly fee on top. -Kids classes are infrequent (not during the day for pre schoolers, we feel that would be prime time to have a class for people who are at home with their children to get the most our of the gym and classes) And again you need to be quick to book. -any popular activity or special event is a race to get booked on to (sometimes costing extra) -Recently the car park was full and they had make people wait to park, -The pool has been so full that they have to stop people going in (very annoying when you are ready with a child) -The food is very hit and miss (bugers are 80% of the time burnt to a crisp) -Even compared to last year there are less options for classes and they are very limited in option and get booked up quickly (unless you don't work in the day Monday to friday then there might be some options but again if you have a child you can't put them in a activity unless you pay more for creche) -We went to the gym with our child and went to go swimming g only to find out there wasn't any hot water in the showers and there was no warning at the desk or anything from the receptionist so that was a nice surprise after swimming (we had a rinse before hand in the single shower by the pool but assumed it was just that shower not working properly as there is usually a warning at the entrance when the showers aren't working... this is not a uncommon accurate then this aren't working, the hot tub was out for a week for example, I can do a list of things that are broken down frequently. All in all I don't think it's value for money (we paid about £2400 for 2 adults and a toddler for the year) Unfortunately we will probably have to look somewhere else come renewel as the staff are nice and apart from some aspects needing a tidy up it's a great place to go when it's not heaving heaving with people and when you can get booked on activities. I've been to other David Lloyds and Swindon is looking like it needs allot of attention compared to other and what I'm told about other david Lloyd clubs. They did redo the gym and the steam room and gave some of it a lick of paint. Staff are very nice and willing to help. Update: I did as you asked and emailed and am yet to hear back.

Fantastic experience: My husband and I went to go view David Lloyd and has Jasmine show us around and give us a tour. She was super friendly and helpful, and even provided us with free refreshments when we were sitting and going through the different memberships at the end of the tour, which was very welcoming because of how hot it was!

Fantastic experience: I recently joined David Lloyds for my family and me, and the team is fantastic here. Katrina made joining an effortless experience, and my PT Karrie has been phenomenal in setting me up to achieve my goals. The wife and kids are enjoying the facilities here, and I even switched my kids' swimming classes here, and they love it. The club is impressive, with many facilities and classes to join. I have not regretted joining one bit.

The spa facilities are great too, with well-maintained saunas, steam rooms, and a relaxing pool area. It’s a solid choice if you’re looking for a place that combines fitness with a bit of relaxation.

Fantastic experience: I've recently joined the club and found the whole process of joining really easy. Katrina has been brilliant at making the process a breeze. Having moved from leisure centre memberships, I like the fact that I can use the facilities whenever and that the classes are all included. I think the club has a great atmosphere and my daughter loves it. Her swimming has come on loads! The gym facilities are awesome too. My only feedback for the centre would be: They need to look at installing acoustic panels to the gym to dampen the noise and a cold plunge pool would be a great addition ;-)

Fantastic experience: I recently moved to the area and was looking for a new gym. Popped in after work and Jack was more than happy to help even without an appointment. Jack was great showing me round the facilities, explaining the membership package to me and going through the sign up process step by step. Very friendly and helpful staff, and the gym facilities/spa are great.

Fantastic experience: Early signs are very encouraging.... had a tour with Jas, who was very helpful and friendly, and not at all pushy..... and we decided to sign up straight away. Have had one visit since, which was enjoyable - the club has some great facilities....
