Fantastic experience: Disappointed with local council screwing the shepton tax payer's again by closing down this facility

Positive experience: Sport facilities are excellent. Gym needs some work to compete with the movement gym. However this place excells in community sports and clubs.

Positive experience: First visit at the gym here. Gym is in 2 rooms, a mix of CV equipment and weight machines and free weights. Clean changing rooms, lockers available opposite squash courts. Friendly, helpful staff.

Fantastic experience: I attended a yoga class here tonight and enjoyed a really good class, it was very relaxing and led by a calm, clear and friendly instructor called Maria. I was pleasantly surprised that the class was held with the lights down low and that the room was carpeted and kept lovely and warm. It was an extremely good experience and I will be coming again. There has been a definite shift in my mood as a result, for the better. I have also attended the excellent Zumba Classes by Suzy, at the leisure centre, she is a ball of motivating energy and enthusiasm and her classes are excellent at making me feel more energised. I must also point out that the leisure centre staff on the front desk could not be more helpful, or friendly. They are very proactive in reaching out to help and asking if you need anything and in doing everything they can to welcome you into the centre.

Positive experience: Did a training course here, and all the facilities were good. The place seems clean and tidy, although there as a slight odour in some areas.

Positive experience: Replace the abdominal/back extension with a proper bench press set.

Negative experience: If you are playing hockey, they literally don't want you in the building.

Positive experience: I recently rejoined the leisure centre but am now reconsidering an alternative. There are 2 inductions rather than I, First one is brief and then you are left to your own devices, which in itself raises health and safety issues resulting from misuse of the equipment. Price is cheap, but equipment is lacking in range, some of not easy to use. This month I had to pay up in January. On the occasion I asked for help, the member of staff was busy with another inductee, and was unsure of how to explain the finer points of the piece of equipment and seem unsure of its operational details. I am now considering other facilities.

Positive experience: Has recently been taken over by the school. Great atmosphere in the week but unfortunately shuts at 9pm; would prefer it being open until at least 10pm. Some investment is required in the facilities to maintain its competitiveness with neighbouring centres.
