Positive experience: I can only comment on the gym as I haven’t used the other facilities. Very well equipped, especially for the location. 5 racks and plenty of sets of dumbbells so you’re never waiting around to start a set. Not the best machines and not much variety, but this is much better than most commercial gyms that have way too many machines and a tiny free weight area.

Fantastic experience: I had a fabulous morning spent here on the 21st February 2024 The 3 members of staff I met for the first time were amazing As I’m not in aviemore often as I do private chef services here every now and then , for the first time in years I had this idea of joining this center before dig into my work The entrance, changing rooms , shower, steam room and sauna and swimming pool were all spotless Personnel very respectful The blond young lady who received me was very helpful Overall they will see me again Thank you for making my day excellent

Negative experience: BEWARE - hours on the website can be inaccurate. Phone first if coming a long way as I did. After travelling from Glencoe on my one day off a week to make the most of the advertised Wednesday 1pm to 2 pm 'happy hour' access to pool and steam, I was told the entire facility was closed as per their schedule. I pointed out that the schedule on their website was wrong and perhaps they should modify it to avoid inconveniencing anyone else. They insisted that it was my error until I pulled out my phone, got on their website and showed them. I was talked down to, a bit like an idiot, but after I pushed the point, one of the staff said she would pass it on - I think they were just trying to get rid of me. No apology. I would have been a lot more forgiving of my lost day if it had been handled more professionally. Really unskilled and condescending customer service. Don't worry - won't be returning!

Negative experience: Facilities are quite good but the whole idea of needing an induction before using the gym when staff aren’t always available is awful. They also charge extra per person for the gym induction if you come with a visitor pass (which is ridiculous). Staff didn’t seem to know much about what was going on either. If you come here as a traveller, prepare to have your time wasted.

Fantastic experience: Took our toddler for a swim here during a family holiday to Glencoe. Lovely big warm pool, changing rooms nice and warm too. Facilities very clean. Staff adhering to covid protocols. Booking system was very thorough due to restrictions but communication was really good. Recommended!

Negative experience: Leisure centre does not currently offer shower facilities to customers and only offers “rinse with water only”. This fact is displayed in small text on an a4 poster upon entering the pool itself (after booking, attending the centre and changing into swimming costume). There is no information on the website stating this or on the booking confirmation email which states Covid-19 standards for the centre. In fact the website actually states that “showers/toilets are available at the pool... If you are using the shower following your swim please do this as quickly as possible.” If this information (that we are not allowed to shower properly) had been provided before I attended and got changed, I would not have gone out of my way to come here for a swim. I do not have access to a shower and therefore showering pre/post swim at my home location is not possible. Therefore, if I unable to properly wash the chlorine from my body I will not come. I would like to highlight that since the April 2021 I have gone to multiple swimming pools in Scotland/Wales and this is the first pool I have personally attended to ban showers with shampoo/soap. At the end of the day if this centre wishes to impose this strange rule, then fine, however it’s important that they are transparent with their customers regarding this before the point they are actually about to get in the pool.

Fantastic experience: We were up in Fort William on holiday and the weather was very wet so we visited the Lochaber leisure centre to use the pool and the steam room. The facilities were great and the staff were very welcoming and helpful. As well as a main pool there is a hydrotherapy pool that's available if you book in advance. There is a gym available as well. Nice facility and good place to go if the weather is bad.

Negative experience: The place looks good, but they haven't a plan for one month or for some weeks, if you are a tourist without UK account, you cannot access the gym, no make sense, if you want to pay by credit card or cash you can't.

Positive experience: Can be a mad house for swimmers when not full lanes. When not only one very narrow lane accommodating one swimmer available so it is every man for himself outside of that. OK when quiet though but that varies with the weather.

Fantastic experience: Lovely large pool, warm hydrotherapy pool and a gym with a lot of good equipment. A large variety of classes for all abilities and all ages throughout the centre.All very clean and the staff are excellent, helpful, friendly and professional. The poolside staffing levels are high especially when children are in playing and during swim classes.
