Each class was really good. The buffet, cakes & nachos were delicious! From start to finish it was a fabulous day! Well done to everyone involved, can't wait for the next one!!!

Positive experience: Always issues with the changing room. Water covering the floor as no wet changing areas. Used towels on floor and seating area. Complained to management several times but no action taken.

Fantastic experience: Always, always have a lovely reception when entering the building, Alison in particular is there with a smile and a friendly hello. I can smell coffee when entering which is also welcoming. Place is clean, friendly and the pools, jacuzzi, sauna and gym are great. I love the restaurant and conservatory overlooking the pool. Highly recommend it!

Fantastic experience: I've been a member at David Lloyd for a few years. They offer a wide range of facilities to encourage every part of exercise you can think of, from swimming to battle box they have it all. The wife range of facilities allows the members to try new sports which is exactly what I did and now I am in love with Pickle ball. One of the great things about the club is it's staff. They are always willing to help and will always stop for a chat. The reception team are great and Alison, well local club legend. There has been some recent work undertaken to spruce the place up which has made the club look great. The main thing I like about the club is the children's clubs, a wide range of activities and additional classes depending on the time of year like discos, pizza making classes etc. Time to time there is also live music, quizzes and more recently line dancing classes. This club definitely has it all.

Fantastic experience: The David Lloyd Swansea is an excellent gym. I have been a member here since it opened and it is a huge part of my life. Both my children learnt to swim and play football at this club and I have used it over the years to not only stay fit but to meet friends and family for a catch up at the cafe. My son plays football and will regularly use the spa facilities as rehabilitation. This year I completed a marathan and would not have been able to do the running distances every week without the yoga/Pilates classes which are excellent and the spa and outside pool allowed me to recover between runs. The staff are excellent and I really feel part of the David Lloyd family and I just can’t imagine ever not having this club in my life.

Fantastic experience: DL Swansea is one of the friendliest clubs. From the reception staff to bar staff and fitness team; they’re all so approachable and welcoming. I meet my mates every morning for a coffee before we all go off to either work or a class. It really is an asset to our community. Thoroughly recommend x

Fantastic experience: The club ticks all the boxes ✅ The instructors have given me the confidence to reach my potential and achieve many challenges. The club recently supported us on numerous charity event achieving our goal to run the London Marathon. I visit the club most days and consider the staff and friends, more family and my solid community. I believe the club is unique and staff go over and above to ensure members receive a quality of care. I have been a member for 14 years and hopefully I will continue for many more. Fantastic experience: David Lloyd have been absolutely amazing to us when I bring my disabled sister in law swimming every week, reception are so helpful when we come in and the lifeguards are amazing with doing the hoist for us and giving a hand if needed. Fantastic experience: David Lloyd Swansea is a diverse and inclusive Leisure facility. There is literally something for everyone . I have been a member for just over 2 years having been a member of another local gym for 20 years : The staff at the club are welcoming and all the training staff are supportive, all very different styles but this means you will always find an instructor you will gel with and want to go to their classes . Before joining DL I always ran and did solo gym training as I was scared of classes .., fear of the unknown. ! Now I love doing them.and will give anything a go , that’s a result of the support and guidance I have had in all classes . If you love fitness and it’s important to you DL is the place for you to join , it’s a way of life centered around being healthy and putting fitness first .

Fantastic experience: Amazing Club. Fantastic Facilities and very friendly staff!

Fantastic experience: Great gym and the staff go above and beyond for supporting adults and kids. Really enjoy coming here and if you are a family having that time to train whilst they're looked after and entertained is a no brainer versus the cost, especially if like us you have no family nearby, they really are like a second family once you fet to know them. Our daughter thinks Pete is the funniest guy she's met, bit unsulting if you ask me (Dad) , but she loves going which keeps us motivated to keep training.... or sit and have a beer on the loungers when the sun comes out.

Positive experience: Some good classes, especially cardio tennis, HIIT and battlebox. DL kids staff, tennis coaches, swimming instructors and PTs are all great.

Fantastic experience: I joined David Lloyd Swansea 3 years ago and I love it! Lots of classes to choose from, very knowledgeable instructors, the gym has lots of different equipments, food at the cafe is lovely and the outdoor pool really is a plus! They also organised their first wellbeing retreat last Saturday, which was amazing. I definitely recommend it!

Negative experience: OK where do I begin , before anyone reads this post I have been a member with David Lloyds now for over 5 years, not this particular club but I was a previous member In Hatfield for 4 years. Where do I start , so I pay £200 for a family membership here in the swansea club , we've joined a little over 7 months ago and I have to say I have never ever been so disappointed with a club than this one. 1st of all for the amount of money that this club gets from us fellow members it's absolutely ridiculous that we are paying this amount of money for a club that is so back dated , the pool has not changed since they've taken over from the previous company as I was told from the other members which apparently its about 20 years, absolutely crazy! There isn't a family changing room and to be honest I don't like my kids seeing naked women walk around as even when I'm home I never change in front of my kids so it's uncomfortable for my kids to be around naked women so they should consider only opening a family changing room. Now play area ? My 11 year old can't play with my 2 year and 6 year old because apparently he's to big for it but other tall kids are allowed inside ? Make it make sense Please! Half of the Staff are rubbish , absolute horrible staff members... I do think the manager should start firing people as they make you so uncomfortable when you're there on weekend it's like they're peed off that they're working on the weekend and you're off. I can go on and on and on I cancelled my membership yesterday. Not worth it at all And If you're thinking about booking clubs forget about it , you have to book 2 weeks in advance and it's not.like the dl kids staff are any good either.

Negative experience: Sold me a membership based on a big fat lie. I was told when I was taking around for a tour that Wednesday was Badminton night, apparently they have a group of badminton players every Wednesday playing etc. the truth was, there is no Badminton night, I went and I was the only one there, despite booking using the app, they didn’t even get the net set up! There were just 2 kids kicking the football around. Not very clean, the first day I went, the lounge / cafe area was stinking! I even called the manager and highlighted it to him. The short of it is, it’s just an overpriced, over rated and out of town club. Its not worth the price or the drive for what you get in return.

Fantastic experience: Just attended the Spirit Freedom launch at David Lloyd Swansea. Brilliant class finished off with sound meditation. The different classes on offer here from Dance Fitness, Body Pump, Ignite there is something for any ability. The atmosphere in club is tremendous everyone is so friendly you won’t be disappointed.

Positive experience: First time to this health club and I will definitely go again. Fortunately I have a friend who is a member so I had a free pass, but I think I'll join. Great set of gym equipment, I think. I just did some walking on a treadmill but it was a great machine, the whole atmosphere was very relaxed. Had a swim and a sauna after and really enjoyed my time there.

Fantastic experience: I've been a member of this club for many years, since it was Esporta, then Virgin and now David Lloyd. I LOVE the club, always plenty of classes to book onto, very friendly reception desk who go above and beyond for you. The trainers/ gym instructors and sales team are always on hand to help and guide you. Facilities are excellent with something for everyone, and I particularly enjoy the sauna at the end of a good workout. I have two young boys who are also members, and enjoy the swimming classes, play area and kids classes. It's a great place to spend some family time and also enjoy the brilliant cafe! It's great value for money. My membership price has fluctuated over the years, but I am paying less now than I first joined and we visit the club three to four times a week. It's also fantastic in the summer as you can enjoy the outdoor pool and the club often put on family days and BBQ's. I've also used the squash and tennis courts which are great and booked into the outdoor classes. There's a lot to do here! I would recommend DL to all!

Fantastic experience: Very friendly staff, great facilities, the crèche take children from as young as 3 months old. Soft play attached to the club room. Good/reasonable food. Lots of fitness classes - I think as many as 90 per week. The kids class timetable was also extensive, offering not just fitness options but drama, scooter, skate as well.

Negative experience: LEISURE CENTRE NOT HEALTH CLUB Looking for a new gym in Swansea and wanted to try David Lloyd as wanted try join somewhere where I could spend a lot of my time to relax, as well as exercise. The pricey membership price per month unfortunately in Swansea is not worth it. On my tour I noticed the building outside is dirty, and all the yellow paint has peeled off, upon entering the building the receptionist was polite and asked me to wait on the sofa which has leather peeling off it (needs replacing). I was greeted by a friendly member of staff who showed me around the club. The outside pool looked quite scruffy, and the inside pool was full of children. The spa (if you could call it that) is located next to the inside pool. The entrance doors to both steam and sauna room are to the side of the pool, where you have all the noise of children in the pool. So no chance of any relaxation! And the jacuzzi is in between the rooms facing the inside pool. The last thing I want to do whilst trying to relax in a so called spa is stare at children in a pool. So I think it shouldn’t be advertising a relaxing spa. The gym is clean and has all equipment, and they do offer classes everyday. However was disappointed they do not have Pilates beds like other David Lloyds, even though they charge the same price. The lounge area is next to the children play area, and the lady who gave me a tour did say that the health club was family oriented, so they do have a lot of children in the lounge area and the pool (inside and outside) the children can use most of the time too. In my opinion that is a leisure centre not a health club with an expensive price tag. I gave two stars based on the staff I spoke to was very helpful, and the gym seemed to have a lot of equipment.

Fantastic experience: A really nice facility and seemed pretty well maintained. It is clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. Food is decent. The complaints below from some people such as those ‘disgusted’ about not being invited into the club for free and treated to a complimentary bottle of champagne are just daft. Keep taking the pills guys. This place is good and I look forward to returning.

Positive experience: Great for families, staff are friendly, decent facilities - bit pricey for Swansea but if you maximise your time there and utilise the classes/facilities, it’s worth it. A number of things need improving, but this would probably result in an even more expensive membership like our neighbours in Cardiff/Bristol, so it’s fair for what you get. Only wish is they would fix the back jets on the jacuzzi, current ones do literally nothing lol

Negative experience: My partner and I drove down to see what the gym was like. We’ve moved to the area and we’re deciding upon a gym. Disgusted to find out David Lloyd not only don’t provide a days free pass or day pass to try the facilities. Instead, they try to lure you into paying for a membership and then cancelling within 14 days. However, they have a 20 pound joining free which isn’t refunded. This means you could in effect pay 40 pounds to use the facilities for one day. We have tried 4 gyms over the last week. This was the only one that operated in such a way.

Negative experience: My family and I were members of this club for 2 years. We left couple of months ago due to the fact that they kept changing the timetables for the kids and mixing up their ages! We understood that it was to save money but it was no longer working for us. We then found out we could get a discounted membership as they sold us their more expensive ones. We asked at the front, which we were adviced to do it on the app which we did. We were told they couldnt offer it at that time with no explanation of why. We then received an email to remind us that our renewal was coming up, so we decided to leave as the price for what we were paying was no longer viable for us. So we did as the email instructed and told them we were leaving in the period they stated. They messed this up completely! First of all they said we couldnt leave, so my husband had to email explaining the email we received. They apologized that they sent wrong emails out but will honour it. Then they cancelled someone else membership?! We tried to resolve this and received a phone call from one of the staff in Swansea. They started shouting to say we couldnt leave and that we need to still keep paying. We had to raise our voice to let them know it was their mistake and why are they not honouring their email? We also asked why they cancelled someone else's membership who we didnt even know. They went quiet and thankfully cancelled our membership! Thank goodness! It was a shame to leave but after that experience we're glad we did. We then found out some of our friends are leaving due to the facilities being stopped whilst keeping everyone's premium high!

Positive experience: I have been a member of DL on and off for a long time now and was previously a member when it was managed by Esporta and virgin active etc. The standards of the club now compared to previous management is significantly different. The main facilities I use are the pool, jacuzzi, steam room etc. and the gym a little to stretch. The gym is very big and there is plenty of room to move around, no complaints there at all. The pool and associated facilities however are not good at all. Indoor pool - the pool floor is extremely dirty and every time I use the pool I can see the floor covered in muck. Many times I see used plasters just laying on the bottom of the pool. I offered to pick them up for the lifeguard but he told me to just leave them there as the filter will sort it out, but the problem still persists so clearly the filter cannot be working that well. Cannot use the outdoor pool then because the club is trying to save money, in that instance the membership fees should be lowered to accommodate this. Steam room - steam room surprisingly lacks steam. Many times I've been in there and there's next to no steam at all and its not that warm. Jacuzzi - jacuzzi is freezing cold. It is not a relaxing experience to use the Jacuzzi there after a swim because the temperature of the pool and jacuzzi are often the same! I've been to David Lloyd in Cardiff and also Bristol before and although those centres are larger than the Swansea club, the standards appear to be higher and the overall cleanliness of the pool facilities are much better than in Swansea. Travelling to Cardiff to use these facilities though is not an option for me.

Positive experience: Really is a shame, the club has gone down hill and has become more of a leisure centre with a health club price. Due to the recent closure of the outdoor pool and other situations which have been reported to club management it’s just not a recommendation anymore. However all staff are absolutely lovely especially Ellie behind the bar :)

Fantastic experience: We have been members of David Lloyd for a while. We have the best time there every weekend. My son plays tennis and his tennis coach Damon is just fantastic with him. You can order food and drinks through the David Lloyd app and receive member discounts. The menu has recently updated and I had the most amazing snow ball latte. Thank you so much

Positive experience: Could do with improvement. Great outdoor pool but closed for the winter due to energy costs. No recompense for members who pay for this facility. Indoor pool more crowded due to this. Little notice is paid to member feedback & poor communication from management. Aquarobic classes need more variety. Good quiz every month in the clubroom.

Positive experience: It's all old people and middle aged men

Positive experience: Good facility with plenty sports to chose from. Me as tennis and squash player this place has everything it needs. Unfortunately I belong to other club and was only here visiting during competition so don't have membership. 1 minus bar is closing at 21:30 so no chance to get food or drink after competition ends especially when you play in squash or tennis league.

Negative experience: Outdoor pool closed with only a few days notice this has impacted indoor pool as now very busy if this continues will cancel membership .
