Fantastic experience: Great relaxing place to go and swim

Positive experience: The pool was nice and warm. Changing rooms could be a bit nicer (more like a council pool), cafevwas closed. Awkward timings, and after your session, you can't stay on, without paying again, and you have to get out for 15 mins in between, due to no lifeguard.

Negative experience: Rubbish service Whenever I call for any enquiries they never ever pick up ! What’s the point of even trying ? Why do they have a phone and people employed there if they never bother to pick up ?! Shame

Positive experience: Perfect for my toddler who needs her swimming pool to be warm, and a ramp for her to ease into the pool (I know that's not what it's there for, but she loves it). Ample changing rooms and showers. Floor around the pool however could do with more attention as it does not seem to be cleaned enough.

Negative experience: I liked this place until one 'lifeguard' was policing the pool and telling a lot of people off over nothing. He was more of a policeman than keeping everyone safe. The 12:45-1:45 session Sunday 4th August, thank goodness he left at 1:15 and a more relaxed lifeguard came to take over. People could tell he just liked telling everyone off he has a big ego and a hot head (description: he had dreadlocks) not very pleasant.

Positive experience: It's a great place for swimming lessons and other sports. They also cater very well for people with disabilities

Fantastic experience: Aspire leisure centre is one of the best places. The area is huge with Gym, swimming pools and other classes as well. They have an app where you can see all the schedule of events and activities. It has all the facilities for special needed people. From accessible pool with wheel chairs and accessible showers. They have well trained teachers and they are very supportive. Very well equipped pool equipment. Shower rooms are accessible and changing area is huge with lots of cabins to your needs. They supply hair dryer after shower. Huge parking but can get busier over the weekend.

Positive experience: Lovely staff and great atmosphere for those of us who need a gentler environment. However cleanliness is lacking, especially in the shower cublicles... mould and general filth that needs a good bleaching and scrubbing. Have reported a number of times

Positive experience: If you’re looking for a warm(30 degrees) swimming pool thats both great for rehabilitation, truly accessible for disabled users and family friendly then this is a very good place to go. Swimming facilities are good in general, they are open till 9ish on weekdays and staff are friendly too. Slight downside and i do mean slight is that the changing rooms could do with a revamp or updating but they do the job as is too.

Positive experience: Functional leisure centre - is a bit less known about so sometimes easier to book slots for badminton. Plenty of changing rooms despite the leisure centre being a bit smaller than other places. Staff were friendly and helpful. Parking was decent - free for your time there. Car park is a little small so you might struggle on busy days.

Fantastic experience: A nice place for a gentle swim in a heated pool. Other activities are available.

Negative experience: Unable to create a login for the new app. Booking has become difficult. No one answers the phone.

Negative experience: Needs a lot of improvement. Has the potential to be much better than it currently is. I caught a nasty fungal infection from pool/changing areas. The place needs a good clean. The new booking website is confusing & often doesn’t work. Communal areas, lobby & lift needs a deep, thorough clean. The changing rooms & toilets to the gym area wants upgrading- very dilapidated & smelly. Also there hasn’t been any access to the wcs or even sinks, to wash hands, for over a month. Poorly managed, which is a shame because it could provide better facilities to customers with some maintenance & TLC.

Negative experience: Such a shame. Could be a really great place if they worked harder to keep the pool facilities cleaner. It seems most pools these days are being given minimum cleaning. Brown dirt seen at the bottom of the pool. They had what looked like a lost property basket in the changing room with dirty knickers in them. And there was balls of hair on the floor. And it is very off putting that shoes are allowed in the changing areas. Also, I dont like that there are no female/male areas, especially.for families with younger children. Doubtful we'll be returning unfortunately unless I hear there has been changes made.

Negative experience: I came to play badminton on Monday 15th January 2024 at 8pm - 9pm in court 1 we got block booking the sports hall was so cold and freezing they did not on the heating so bad for people because they can catch a cold. They should think of people.

Positive experience: This place needs a good refurbishment. I don't know why they leave things to do in repair at the last minute. Change the management.

Positive experience: Staff were really great in helping to navigate the centre for first time users. The only thing I would say is the showers are in the walkway to access the swimming pool which can get chaotic between classes to entry and exit to the pool

Fantastic experience: I loved that it facilitates everyone! Easy parking also.

Negative experience: Extreme lack of hygiene, fungus inside and outside the swimming pool. Dirty & broken lockers, disgusting changing rooms & showers.

Fantastic experience: Great service 25 metre pool with a good width for the number of occupants allowed. Had a couple of lanes divided by speed.

Negative experience: Aspire is a national charity that provides practical help to people who have been paralysed by Spinal Cord Injury, which we all need to support them and help them to maintain an appropriate level of service. The courts are well mainted and reasonably priced. However, the shower/changing cubicles and swimming pool would need a better cleansing and attention. The managers need to be better organised and responsive especially to their mistakes and multiple cancellations without informing in advance.

Negative experience: I tried to join the gym through gp review through gp referra The lady in the gym took my blood pressure and was told that my blood pressure is very high I should go to see my gp. I went and see my I contract at the gym and told them my BP is in control and would like to join the gym. Nobody was interested to help me. In the end I joining another gym . customer service is very bad

Fantastic experience: Very happy last 2 months big improvement of cleaning disabled room ,every time clean and nice smell .The new changing Room attendant Julie is always very nice and friendly.

Fantastic experience: Very nice place. Has all the stuff you want. Gym, swimming, courts etc! Staff are very nice and friendly. What's more important is that they heavily cater for the disabled and people needing physios. One small issue is they need to update a few of their equipment in the gym, considering the price of membership.

Fantastic experience: I love this place. The pool water is warm, the staff are super friendly and the swimschool is really good. I started bringing my firstborn here for her mother baby swim 13 years ago now! And we all still come here to swim regularly. Nice shallow parts and you can stand in the deep end. We just love it here.

Negative experience: I witnessed a young girl encounter an Islamophobic verbal attack today. A grown lady accompanied by her grandson was standing in the changing area and in the cubicle opposite to her was the girl. Once she’d come out of the cubicle this lady turned to her and started shouting hatefully and aggressively under the pretence that another person’s child had pulled a face at her grandson. Regardless of whether or not the girl had pulled a face, shouting at a child as a grown woman is never acceptable. It seemed like she believed that the girl was alone, which makes the incident even more disgusting. Once seemingly the girl’s mother had realised what the focus of her anger she got involved to defend her, then the woman began to get up in her face and began to shout at her too. Her entire demeanour changed once she was asked whether her inexcusable behaviour was due to the child wearing a headscarf. No staff intervened and I do not believe anyone spoke to the lady in question even though she provoked the confrontation. I have been a regular here but this incident has put me off attending this Aspire indefinitely.

Positive experience: Just came for a look around. Understaffed at reception, so told me to look around myself. Pool seemed small, though nice ramp into water for disabled access. Badminton courts very cold with too much aircon. Looked untidy in courts, and changing rooms area...lots of junk stored everywhere, and bits of pipes and building work exposed. Cleanliness in girls changing area didnt seem organised. Man pouring bleach down centre drain. Lots of kids screaming everywhere at all times in every part of buildinh, echoing around the building. Lots of elderly, or disabled, or learning needs people seemed to be present. I felt out of place, like this was not the place for my 30's- 40s demographic. Website complicated to view classes. You have to register apparently before you can view it in an easier format. No step class available. Didnt like the vibe, of venue, so left without enquiring much more.

Fantastic experience: I have used this place for several years and became a member just before 2020 lockdown and membership temporarily suspended due to Government closures. Now its opened again and so nice to use it practically on a daily basis. The staff are always very helpful and friendly. The swimming facilities are great especially for diasabled users. Badminton and courts facilities are good, but floor can be slippery at certain locations. The gym has plenty of new and clean excercise facilities. Nice cafe and especially warm atmosphere for all the community of all ages. Bookings made through Aspire app is really good and easy to book sessions. Please do join the gym and support this Leisure Centre which funds various charities

Fantastic experience: Easy access into the swimming pool for wheelchair users. Wish all swimming pools accommodate this as I have to travel far to use the pool. If anyone is aware of similar swimming pools near Edmonton/Tottenham area please let me know. I rather not use a hoist. Anyway thanks to the people behind this its making a big difference in my life many others like me am sure. Also thanks to all the friendly staff working/running the centre.

Fantastic experience: Went into the cafe, at the top of the building, oversaw, a group of athletic wheelchair users playing wheelchair rugby, and from the cafe could see the pool which had a ramp to allow wheelchair users access the pool, the pool was busy with a activity, good to see such an amenity being used.

Positive experience: The gym and shower are good. Nothing special but I'd argue the gym/centre membership is a little expensive; but its made up for by the great staff that assist the gym for both able and disabled members. The male showers for the gym however are awful. They're not kept particularly clean and shows its age. There is no privacy in the male showers either, and for you to shower during a busy time, you would be standing only a couple of feet from another person squashed in the corner with very weak water power. The showers really let the gym down.
