Fantastic experience: Great sports & leisure facility. Everything you need. Open until late. Free parking.

Fantastic experience: Deeside Leisure Centre has all the usual facilities and classes as well as a cafe, library, skate and inflatable parks. The Afon Spa is wonderful and do an offer for 2 people! Well worth checking out. But, the very best things about the DLC is that it is the home of the Deeside Dragons Ice Hockey Team. If you haven't been to watch this amazing sport then you definitely need to. The team are amazing and 9 times out of 10 you can meet the players after the game. The fans are really friendly and the foot long hot dogs are a must. Come on Dragons.

Fantastic experience: Very busy

Negative experience: Website has no information, their contract with the charity funding them has now expired and they haven’t bothered to change the website, even though they have had a month to have a backup plan. Travelled an hour to potentially what activities we could do, as they didn’t answer the phone. We went in and encountered the staff that were as useful as Stevie Wonder in a barbershop. Very unhelpful. We tried ringing plenty of times on our way there, no answer still. Must also note that there were 5 staff members huddled together having a nice chat when we entered, which was surprising as I’d of thought it would have been jampacked from the phones being down. After talking to the extremely intelligent and highly skilled customer service experts at the reception, we were told the only activity the pair of us (two adults) could do was the inflatable park! Unfortunately we decided against it as we felt that we wouldn’t quite fit in with the 4-8 year old children there, however I’m sure they would have been more pleasant to deal with than Deeside leisure centre as a whole. I never leave reviews as I don’t usually see the point most of the time, however after todays experience I would like to help other people not waste there time. However we may potentially revisit in the future with all our friends, relatives, neighbors… Anyone, just to show them that no matter how bad you may think your life is, it can get worse by visiting Deeside leisure centre!

Positive experience: There are a lot of activities there for you to do. Like indoor skatepark, an ice rink, jump place and many other things. Although I mostly went for skating and I think it could of have been just a little bit better in general.

Fantastic experience: My Son had seen this Skatepark on YouTube and wished he could go there one day. We travelled from Belfast to visit family not too far from this place so we made sure he brought his Scooter and Skateboard. The look on his face when we arrived and upon leaving was priceless!

Fantastic experience: Lots to do in one place. We come here for the ice skating, which is always good fun. There is a nice little coffee shop in the reception area and a food place in the skating ring which is quite reasonable. There is also an indoor skating park a gym, and a sports hall on site.

Fantastic experience: Not many places you can find an inc rink! Good leisure centre with mini library, coffee shop, inflatable park and other fitness activities. Great football set up with regular football tournaments and also netball tournaments. Probably a lot more too!

Negative experience: I bought chips from a rollover in the rink and I bought the small chips and there was hardly any chips is the box I ask them to put more in the box and they said no they can't do anything about it and I watched him put raw chips in the box that I am using it is stupid I am never getting food from the Rollover again

Fantastic experience: Great skatepark, fantastic rhythm section and plaza section, fun Resi and a decent mini. Doesn't have any of those annoying skatepark problems like overly recessed copings or pokey screws. Good for all levels.

Positive experience: This location is satisfactory. Upstairs is a very spacious gym with great equipment on sight. The staff are always great at Aura. The Deeside skating area also great fun however there can be some rough kids hanging around at the park. My favourite must be the ice-rink. It is a blast to do with the right crowd and most skaters are respectful to the new skaters however I have witnessed some sticky situations. Food is also nothing special but satisfies any cravings after a session there.

Positive experience: Great for ics skating. Would have been better if they had smoothed the ice after the ice hockey practice though.

Fantastic experience: Went to visit the ice rink for the first time in over forty years... Thirty four since I last skated. Very helpful and friendly staff and other customers, a real sense of community that didn't exclude newcomers. When first I and then one of my friends fell badly, Hailey the session supervisor, was instantly on the scene and taking care of our welfare. We were assisted off the ice and thoroughly checked over. The other customers, Pam and her daughter Shelby, and others whose names I didn't get, were all genuinely concerned and very supportive and helpful... We WILL be going back! ☺️

Fantastic experience: Came here for the whole family to try ice-skating after seeing the New York Islanders and team GB play ice hockey last year. There were other rinks within a 45min radius of us but we came here because of the family package deal and the kids skating aids available. Though I lasted less than 2 seconds the kids had a great time pushing around a big penguin . They gained a lot of confidence and we'll be becoming back to keep learning. Such a shame we don't live closer so they can do lessons. Afterwards we found the food to be reasonably priced for lunch and then they went to the inflatable park where they had lots of thrills bouncing around. Even after all that they had the energy to warm down in the playground which can be easily missed amongst the paid for activities. All in all an incredibly fun day out.

Fantastic experience: I went to Probike Motorcycle Training to do my CBT. Probike came recommended and all the staff and trainers are brilliant. They are patient,very friendly and talk you through everything. Even out on the road we drove around for 2 hours doing emergency stops, u-turns, roundabouts, making sure we are in the right lanes and loads more things. These guys are brilliant and I'll definitely use them again when I decide to go upto a geared 125 and when I go for my full license. Highly recommend Probike

Fantastic experience: Went to the Spa and had the inner tranquil package with Jean. The woman has magic hands! Every product they use smells and feels incredible, the massage and facial is always amazing, leaving you beyond relaxed! The environment is always calm, clean and service outstanding. Highly recommend the treatments at Afon Spa and have nothing but praise and thanks for the team and their service!

Fantastic experience: Our 1st visit with granddaughter who is taking ice skating lessons, what a lovely place. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, especially with my husband who, at 74, wanted to skate with his granddaughter for the first time. The staff were brilliant with him, we couldn't thank them enough....... To the lady staff member on the ice rink, Ty, we appreciated all your help and kindness

Negative experience: Ice skates for hire are incredibly bad quality. They haven't improved on the 40 years since I used to go here as a kid.

Positive experience: A good setup, however the cafe is expensive and no nutritious food just chocolate, toast and cakes. Vending machines are full of chocolates, sweets and sugar drinks.

Fantastic experience: A very good multi activity leisure centre. I have been here a few times now and evey time has been brilliant. I've used the skate park and bounce zone. All the staff I've had interactions with have been positive and friendly. The leisure centre looks clean and tidy well laid out with clear sign posts to give directions to where you need to go.

Fantastic experience: I've only used the gym for my cardiac rehab, which is well equipped and clean.

Positive experience: Great experience for the kids, a bit too busy for first timers but they had great fun. Now going regularly

Positive experience: Great facility, went on a Saturday so it was packed but enough room to still enjoy skating. 2hrs was more than enough. Food and drink portions were a bit stingy in the cafe. Great to go and have a look in the skate park afterwards.

Fantastic experience: Great place with lots of different activities to suit a wide range of ages and abilities. We come here with our rugby club shotton steel,on a Wednesday evening to use the 3G pitches put the back. There’s also the added attraction of the cafe which serves costa coffee!

Negative experience: I brought my daughter ice skating for the first time. We had a 2 hour slot, it was so busy almost over booked in my eyes. It took 30 minutes of queuing just to get in! We then tried 3 pairs of skates each various sizes, all of which felt like putting your feet into a concrete cast! So painful! We pre booked a penguin skating aid online and not one member of staff gave any interest in helping to find us one. After 1hr and 25min into our 2 hour slot and still not on the ice we gave up! The only helpful person was the lovely lady on reception who gave us a full refund.

Positive experience: I came in at 9:50 for the morning public skate with my daughter. The lockers outside the skating rink weren't working, I went to the skate hire desk to ask for help, by which time I had lost my place in the queue. The member of staff managed to fix it for the person in the front however by the next group of people, it wasn't working. One of them went to the desk and were told someone was on their way, after 10 minutes still no show. The group in front of me left and the group behind me asked about the locker, I explained they weren't working and one of them went up to the hire desk to ask for help, they were told that someone was on their way, when they asked how long would they be, they were told "don't know". I wasn't going to just leave my handbag lying around so I had to leave my daughter to skate in her own whilst I sat and watched with our stuff. I't's a shame as me and my daughter had travelled up on the train, so it felt like a wasted journey. The staff in the main reception were very helpful though and happy to refund me. Hopefully next time we come, we will have a better experience.

Fantastic experience: Great place for adults and children alike.

Negative experience: Apparently I'm in the minority here as reviews are generally positive, but I went to the ice rink for the first time in many years and was very unpleasantly surprised. They let far, far too many people on the ice at one time. Despite going to an 'adult session' the attendance was more like 75% children. I understand the idea of the little 'carts' they hand out - in theory adults can push around children who aren't strong skaters. In practice however it is just kids pushing around other kids, save for one little boy who was being pushed around by his mother whilst he played Minecraft. After I was knocked down by one kart and almost knocked down by a second I had had enough. Fortunately I got off easier than one poor girl who left the ice rink in tears leaving a large trail of blood behind her. The ice was also in a terrible state, presumably it is not smoothed over regularly. The rental skates are poor quality. Yes it's not incredibly expensive but I won't be coming again anytime soon.

Positive experience: I went for the North Wales Vegan Festival which had an amazing array of food, jewellery, and clothing stalls. I then had a little look around the leisure centre itself and I will absolutely be going back once I have an excuse to. There’s such a wide range of activities to do there, from an obstacle course type set up for kids to a skate park. Ice Skating is always a great way to kill an afternoon as well.

Fantastic experience: Visited with children for ice skating after reopening from being covid vaccination centre. Prebooked tickets online, plenty of car parking spaces. Efficient & friendly reception desk and skate hire clerk. Skates had a few missing eyelet hooks etc and generally uncomfortable, but functional. Staffing on the ice rink present and helpful. Lockers are available at reasonable additional cost. Had a bite to eat in the cafe afterwards, nice range of snack foods & drink. Staff really helpful. Deeside Leisure Centre has many other things gs to offer - for future visits...

Fantastic experience: Daughter loves coming to deeside. She has taught herself to skate.. I said if she gets so far I will pay for lessons.. Looks like this is a empty pocket hobby.. For us.

Positive experience: Generally love to come here, relax and read a book...but the new layout of the library makes me wanting to go somewhere else now. Don't like it at all. The place generally needs to be cleaned specially the ice ring and ventilation is a key with perspiration odors all over, specially in corridors and stairs.

Fantastic experience: Als skate shop in Deeside Leisure is fantastic and the staff are very knowledgeable. From ice skates to ice hockey items its all there. There is everything for beginners right through to professional skaters. A hidden gem

Positive experience: Visited yesterday pre booked at 2pm 8-04-2023 with my grandson's age 4 and 8 Quick entrance Efficient staff on counter. Hired the penguin's & banana's £6 each for the 2 hour slot which is great idea for the nervous non skaters. Great little cafe with reasonable prices. This place became very busy so word advise you really need to keep eye on kids as they will wander off. Anyway not the one to leave negative feedback but on this occasion. This has to be addressed! On visiting the toilets it was a disgrace for such a large establishment. I nearly tripped on the raised flooring Every toilet flush wasn't flushing and it was filthy. No soap No hot water and No toilet paper. This needs to be sorted as I had to walk over to the other part of the center to use their facilities. I didn't even let me grandson's to use them! They were disgusting After a really enjoyable 2 hrs the toilets was a complete let down. Hopefully on the next visit there will be a safe updated clean and fully stocked customer facilities to be used. Thank you

Fantastic experience: Went ice-skating, it was well organised and great fun. The ice skates for rental were good and the ice well looked after. I'd recommend booking, specially for the afternoon sessions. It was very busy.

Positive experience: If you are going to the ice rink, you absolutely need your own skates. The hire skates are the cheapest quality of anything I have ever had to pay to use. So much so, that we had to leave after one minute on the ice due to digging in pains caused from the oddly formed boots. We raised our issue at reception and they gave us a full refund without question - very good customer service.

Positive experience: Great skatepark facility. Loved going here, staff are top notch. Friendly and helpful. The only downfall is, that it gets hot inside and would suggest the centre looks into a cool air feed system or a couple industrial air fans dotted around the park as it feels like your in an oven when riding.

Positive experience: Good old Deeside Leisure Centre, its been some years since I have been here I came to play wheelchair rugby league, the only thing I will say is that disabled showers would be nice!!
