Fantastic experience: Personally, I have worked in and managed gyms for over 18 years. The manager and team here at Pure Tyldesley are brilliant, always working hard and giving 100%. Not all gyms are equal, even when they are the same brand. This is easily the best-managed Pure Gym I have been to. The classes are great, the gym floor has a great vibe, and the place is spotless and clean. I see the manager cleaning daily, taking pride in his gym and setting an example for his team to follow. Things like getting involved on the gym floor, taking part in classes, and joining in with his teammates set a great example for his team to follow. They do just that; his team is great, and they are all hardworking and dedicated PTs. The entire team is always grafting, and the place still looks brand new. Well done! This place is excellent value for money, with 24/7 opening hours, approachable and visible staff who are willing to help. You can't ask for more!

Negative experience: Gym is always really busy the machines are awful. Numerous amount of stuff stolen from my locker. Staff are rude towards younger members. Between 5pm and 9pm you will have to wait 20 minutes for a bench. Poor use of machines

Negative experience: It is not respectful that you turn up the volume of the song so much for a group, that you yourself have to shout, and you don't pay attention to other people, who might be annoyed by the sound of the song and your (trainers) shouting. I had a headphone , but the loud music was still annoying.

Positive experience: Is ok. Missing few gears... but place is tidy and clean. Well maintained environment.
Fantastic experience: One of the best Pure Gyms, very spacious and plenty of equipment. Amazingly the bench and squat racks are always free when there! All they need is an air assault bike or 2 and maybe a punch bag and they have everything!
Positive experience: Nice open space. Great app! Good equipment. I'm quite anxious, but it's easy to feel relaxed here, especially after a 'Get Started' induction. The app helps to get used to equipment and also has work outs that are great! Staff are really friendly. The cleaners are on site very often. I probably see them every time I visit to be fair. Most members seem to clean stations down after use too. Maybe some more hand sanitiser pumps would be good. Minus one star because I'm always too hot and I wish the aircon was set just a touch cooler so I could stay a bit longer with each visit. Also, at least 3 of the cross trainers are heavily rusted and much louder than the others, definitely in need of a replacement or 2.

Fantastic experience: PureGym Tyldesely is a very friendly, exceptionally well-managed gym. It is always immaculately clean and tidy. The classes strike a very good balance of challenge and informality. The only down-side is that some of the parking spaces are narrow and can be difficult to navigate in to but there’s probably not much that the gym can do about that. Overall, it’s a great gym and the manager (Tom) and his team are doing a fantastic job.

Negative experience: Just tried to get in this gym at 5:00 am to get a last minute workout before a charity boxing match on Boxing Day and can’t get in absolutely fuming. Yes it does say hours may differ on Boxing Day on google maps not sure why tho as there is no staff in at this time anyway

Fantastic experience: Absolute quality the gym is immaculate inside it has some the best gym equipment I've ever seen. It's reasonably priced and 24HR so there's no excuse to get up and get at it. Can't sleep? Goto the gym. Bored? Gym. Mrs being a pain in the... Gym

Negative experience: Been going this gym for 3/4 months and they have had the aircon on maybe once. The cardio areas is unbearable with no aircon, with massive windows it’s like a greenhouse!! Don’t think I’ve ever been to a gym that dosnt have the aircon running, poor

Temperatures/air con in our gyms are automatically regulated by Smart machines, but if there is a persistent issue staff may be able to override it and can certainly report it to be checked by engineers. Negative experience: Handy location but not really big enough so is always very busy. They also refuse to turn the air conditioning on claiming it is controlled off site - gym is very warm!

We’re afraid it's true, our gyms simply are very popular and so can become busy especially at peak times, but this does fluctuate throughout the day and from day to day. To make the most of the space where possible, though, we are always looking to expand and improve our facilities. Members can also use the members area via the PureGym app to see how many people are in the gym. We provide a certain amount of fresh air based on occupancy levels, and our ventilation system increases and decreases at different times throughout the day and night, making sure we meet these requirements and provide good air movement around the gyms. These levels are based upon size of the gym, and occupancy levels, and are regularly monitored. On occasion, we can get faults on our ventilation and AC systems which is normal. When this happens, there is a process in place to ensure we arrange for our contractors to attend, investigate and resolve the faults and return the systems back to full working order within a timely manner. I really do hope this does not put you off from attending the gym, that you are able to make the most of the gym and reach your personal fitness goals. Thanks, PureGym
Negative experience: Like the atmosphere of this gym. It is not very spacious but still good not overly crowded like Salford gym. Although why the male staff members of this gym be acting like the owners of Pure gym?! They need to work on their attitude and behaviour when dealing with ladies. You are just an employee so act like that!

Fantastic experience: I really enjoyed the class with Michael today. I have been to a few pure gyms and this one seems to be a lot more welcoming than some of the others that I have been to. I’m Looking forward to coming to more of the classes.

Fantastic experience: If your looking for a relaxed gym this is the place I have been off after an injury for 6 weeks and returned today I do think when people do not return to the gym but people still pay the membership some one should send a message to see how that person is! Positive experience: Great class with Tom tonight. It gets busy at night. I stopped going in the morning before work due to the dirty showers. I mainly use the squat racks and free weights.never found it a problem. Unfortunately with a busy gym you have to be flexible in what excercises you do if you use the machines, some people get frustrated as the seem to want to stick to a rigid routine. Overall good experience apart from the showers, which I have raised with the staff on site.

Positive experience: everything is perfect here, I find all the main equipment here and not in any other gym, but I just don't like something, you should review the management of the showers because they are very dirty and the water is cold not hot!

Positive experience: UPDATE: Ended up leaving this gym. Overcrowded - way to warm at night which makes it hard to breathe because the air-con is turned completely off - people going at night pay the same as the people who go through the day so there should be some sort of temperature control or temperature sensor in there it’s going to be horrible when the weather gets warmer - very limited selection of weight machines for people not confident with using the free weights. Feels like a gym that’s been designed for teenagers to show off in. Cardio section small & feels likes it’s just been put anywhere. Would never go if there was more than 40 people in there simply isn’t enough equipment.

Positive experience: There are a lot of positives for this gym, there are only 2 negatives, in my opinion, there aren't enough weights for the bench, if someone uses the weights for leg press, back machines, other bench exercises using the barbell etc, there aren't enough weights for the benchpress. There are only 3 showers that where dirty when I used them. Positives.... Massive gym, FANTASTIC studio room, great selection of dumbells, cable machines, 24 hour gym a big plus. Great value for money, parking, great squat racks.plenty of lockers,.. Good overall gym..

Positive experience: Great gym nice and clean .find it hard to park in the disabled parking area when people and staff use the parking spots when people who got blue badge like my self cant use the parking

Negative experience: It used to be great, however, it is now overpopulated and the excuse of “we are popular” is not good enough. They should have a limit on how many memberships they give out because it is a torture to go and work out in the evening. And no, going at 4am to have a decent workout is not a realistic option for people who work normal hours. Also, it is really sad to see a gym and a company naming themselves “inclusive”, and then have members of staff parking their massive SUVs in disabled spaces. I’m really sorry but there is nothing inclusive about this attitude, especially from staff members.

Negative experience: Way to busy. Felt like a chicken in a battery farm. Waiting for every machine you want to use. Takes 2 hours do a 45 minute session. Customer service isn't great either, almost non existent.

Negative experience: Wow, absolutely needs capping the number of people the doors let in, 7 free weight benches. About 110-120 people in a tiny gym never dips below 90 from 6-9pm plenty of cable machines with plenty of missing snap hooks, not to mention the lack of handles. The gyms made for 50 people at peak. Save ur time.

Fantastic experience: For puregym it's really relaxed...not too busy and can use machines without waiting like others I've been to. Been going a few months now and still I'd say it's a decent local gym for the basics you need

Fantastic experience: Good, clean gym. A bit sparse on the free weights, but enough. Just. Not really sure why people have given it a negative review, it's about time Tyldesley had a modern gym. No WiFi though.
