Fantastic experience: Best 24 hour gym in the area, has everything you need despite it being on the smaller side, good team of staff and community of people. This is an honest review, if you’re looking for a simple gym with quiet and easy people. If you are stuck between this one and “the gym” at the top of George street, this gym is a much better option.

Positive experience: please just turn down the music. most people have headphones . nice people and staff though . good equipment

Negative experience: Staff is great and the gym is fine, on the smaller side and tend to be absolutely packed with bad smelling and loud people during peak times (apparently a pattern between the low priced gyms though). The tricky bit is the ridiculous notice period for the membership cancellation (and I'm on the 'flexible' month by month one). This was never mentioned when I joined (my mistake for not reading the contract minor details). But I gave notice on the 12th of Jan and will be paying until the 29th of Feb. This is more than 1 month notice for cancelling a gym membership, never saw something like that in my entire life and seems like bad practice to try and get as much money from you as possible. Definitely consider this if you're planning on joining it.

Negative experience: Booked a 3pm slot on class pass for today but could not get into the gym since no one working. Tried the bells and the phone. Not good!

Fantastic experience: I joined Snap Fitness Hove just over a month ago. It is a friendly, clean and well-run gym and the Manager, Leah Dunkley, is always friendly and helpful. I thnk it is important for all gyms to have a defibrillator, so that would be a valuable addition.

Negative experience: DO NOT GO HERE Turned up with a valid Gympass and was turned away at the door. I told them the pass works for every other Snap Fitness and was told "we're a franchise we can do what we want". Horrendous attitude.

Negative experience: I signed up for the more expensive option, whereby I could cancel my membership at any time. Except when I came to cancel my membership they do not provide a button on the Website to allow you to cancel. The only way was to cancel my direct debit. They are now hounding me through a debt recovery for a membership fee for membership I didn't use. These guys are cowboys avoid at all costs!

Negative experience: I have been going to this gym over 5 years. I have always enjoyed the friendly environment however recently I didn’t enjoy how the management dealt with an issue I raised. This was about a member who comes to the gym with a smell of pot which made me very uncomfortable as the gym is a place to get a healthier life. It is really awful to work out next to someone who smells pot a lot. The management didn’t do anything to stop this. In fact I was told the guy was going to be banned if it happens again, he was supposedly given last warning but it happened again and the guy still allowed to come in smelling pot. It is very frustrating.

Fantastic experience: I moved to Brighton a few months ago and getting a membership at Snap has been my best decision yet The staff are all amazing, cheerful, and happy to help you with whatever you need. I feel confident at this gym as a beginner and also as somebody who is new to the UK ☺️♥️

Positive experience: Visited this gym the 23th of February. I’m Snap member and for work I use to move in different gym during my trips so I definitely notice the difference between places. In Hove; - 5 stars for welcoming and friendly staff - No changing room I used the toilet to change myself and I don’t want describe what was on the floor. - Toilets and shower area to much exposed in front of the gym area especially the disable bathroom,there is not privacy. - Disable bathroom used like a normal shower area from every one - wardrobe for gym bags are extremely small!!! I pushed my 35 L gym bag in vertical because it cannot fit in horizontal. Facilities are very limited.

Positive experience: New clean equipment. Only downside the free weight area gets busy and there's only 4 benches. Nice layout, good choice of cardio machines.

Negative experience: The gym is in a good location by Hove station and has a few parking spaces in front. The place is small and has a few changing rooms, lockers and showers. There is a reception desk that is maned most times. Entry is via a key card. There is a separate small room for classes and yoga type of exercise. Joined a few months back to keep fit during pregnancy, I did let them know that I am pregnant and the reason to join is to attend the classes. I opted for the flexible membership as I didn’t know how long I can keep going due to circumstances. After I joined I had a phone call to say that I cannot attend the classes that I booked because I am pregnant (except the spin class, that I don’t enjoy). They only have 0-2classes per day and none are suitable for pregnant women. I had hired one of their PTs and she very friendly(hence the extra star). However when she went on maternity I had to stop. The pregnancy became difficult and I emailed to pause the membership as I am in and out of hospital, after a few emails back and forth, they said there is a fee to pause the membership and then I still have to pay for the month even though was the 2nd of the month. So at this point I just want to cancel all together, as the flexible membership is not actually so flexible and I had to pay for 2months to actually cancel, not 30days as stated. Because if the 30 days run even 1-2days in the next month, you have to pay for the whole month, beware of their t&c. Overall I would not join this gym again in the future due to the lack of compassion and flexibility during difficult times.

Fantastic experience: I find this a great gym to go to. Great equipment and a friendly atmosphere amongst the gym goers. The staff is very warm and ready to assist when you need help

Positive experience: I have been a member since Snap first opened and fully recommend it as my go to gym as since becoming part-time I have had more time to get into a fitness regime. Snap is ideal as 5 mins walk from home,is welcoming ,does not get over crowded and allows me to use both studio and equipment without feeling rushed which takes the stress out of training.

Fantastic experience: After trying a few gyms this is definitely my favourite gym in Brighton & Hove. The team at Snap fitness Hove are really helpful and they know their stuff. Love love LOVE the classes! I’ve been going to them for 18 months now - it’s addictive! The gym is immaculate and the range and quality of equipment is excellent. Minimum waiting time when using equipment and all members are very friendly and are all there to work out (not pose around!). Always been able to access the gym at anytime. Shower rooms are nice and there is even a lovely box of toiletries available for all members. This gym also has a MYZONE system and sell myzone belts which is a bonus to me as I love them for tracking my exercises. Highly recommended gym.

Fantastic experience: Great gym, comfortable environment, not at all intimidating, even when you don't know what you're doing! Staff are professional, friendly and helpful. Classes are varied, suit all levels and in small groups so you get to know everyone. Changing rooms and toilets are clean and welll maintained, cleaning spray and papers towels dotted all over the gym for clients use. Parking is a bonus, they have a double parking system in place which works well and allows more people to park. Highly recommend!

Negative experience: Charged months after cancelling subscription

Negative experience: Blocked from using the gym out of hours (the only time I wanted to use it) for weeks in May 2022 despite being a paying member of the gym for years. When I got in touch with the team they denied that I was a member (I have proof), I continued to be blocked from the gym out of hours (despite payment being taken) and I had to get in touch with the team multiple times in-person, through email, and by phone before they would finally look into this properly when they then admitted they had the wrong contact details and I needed to sign a waiver which was why I was being blocked out of hours. No effort was made to rectify the situation or compensate me for the time I'd paid for. It's also a waste of my time having me travel to the gym that I've paid to use and not being able to access

Fantastic experience: After not being in a gym for years felt totally welcomed and comfortable, excellent induction with Leah, who demonstrates how the machines work very thoroughly. Looked at other gyms in my neighbourhood and so far this seems to have lovely staff and a comfortable vibe. Looking forward to trying out the classes with Leah and Fern.

Fantastic experience: I love this place, I came here from the gym. I was a bit nervous about changing gyms, but I wasn’t achieving what I needed to at the gym. Snap fitness has encouraged me to have the confidence to use machines I was not comfortable with using in my previous establishment. The staff are lovely here, and they always acknowledge you and say hello. The equipment is fantastic and regularly maintained. The venue is immaculately clean and easy to use.

Fantastic experience: I have been a member of a few other gyms in the local area but none compare to Snap Fitness Hove. I been a member here for about 2 years and the team here are absolutely fantastic. They are super friendly, polite and very welcoming. Being a 24/7 gym, the facilities are always clean and spotless. It doesn't matter what time I go. This applies to the machines, the floor, the toilets, lockers, showers etc. The gym is just a gym for people who like to train and feel good in doing so! This filters down to the other members too who never bother anyone like I've experienced in previous gyms. No one likes the "How many sets do you have left?" Or "How long are you gonna be on that machine?" questions, these do not exist in this gym! I enjoy the monthly challenges which allow you to win a month's membership for free. If you forget your headphones don't worry - the music is good! The gym doesn't get busy and there is free parking. There is also a well stocked vending machine and ALL the equipment always works. I can't thank the team here enough. You are all fabulous @Leah, @Fern and @Izzy. Keep it up.

Fantastic experience: In the past year I’ve been a member of 3 gyms and this is by far the best one, and the one I intend to stick with for the long term. The staff are friendly and helpful and the other members respectful and decent. Compared to other places it never seems crowded or busy and, despite not being a massive building, it has plenty of equipment and facilities to suit my needs. Thoroughly recommend Snap Fitness in Hove.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been at Snap fitness for about 6 weeks and hands down the nicest gym I’ve trained in in Brighton & Hove. Really nice feel, plenty of space, nice mix of people and excellent cleanliness/covid precautions still in place. All of the staff are so lovely which makes such a difference & Leah the club manager is WONDERFUL.

Fantastic experience: Firstly let me just confess that I hardly write any reviews anywhere! As a self confessed gym junkie, I have been a member of several different big gyms around up until recently, when i joined Snap Fitness Hove. I can confidently & undoubtebly say that, Snap Fitness is the Best Gym out of All of them! Firstly, you meet people from all walks of life. The gym is v well maintained and always clean! It has almost everything....top of the range machines, Free weights, running machines, bikes, a private room with all sorts for both classes & individual work out, hotel like showers & toilets, plenty of private lockers,a huge disabled toilet, a rail for hanging coats et al'. Moreover..the gym even has various equipments one can borrow like: boxing gloves, pads, all kind of belts, hair drier, deodorants, sanitary pads among others. And to add on all the above, the gym is opened 24/7. Each member with their own private entry/exit card. Security is so secure and literary makes you feel @ home. Last but not least, it's the Staff & P.Ts! They are ALL so welcoming, friendly, charming and always willing to help at any time. However I have to give a special mention to the G.M Leah! She's clearly an incredibly talented young lady who knows how to do her job excellently!! This can be seen by everything she does while on shift. From the way she interacts with members to how she would clean up...is top. Infact I think she knows the names of all the members automatically which is phenomenal. Leah is definitely an Asset to this Snap Company. Would 99.9% recommend Snap Fitness (Hove tho').

Fantastic experience: Ive finally found it..the gym for me! With a good mix of women/men, quiet even at peak times, small group classes and they cap the members so it doesnt get too busy. I was anxious about joining and have previously felt quite intimdated in the other 6 gyms Ive tried but Leah was great and could see I was anxious, she instantly made me feel welcome and went through all the machines with me so I could sign up and start same day. I love that its such a friendly gym and she greeted everyone who came through the door by name. Ive been most evenings now and it turns out I really do enjoy the gym when Its the right one :-)

Positive experience: I'm a member of a different location but with my access card I can get into any location in the country so whilst I'm in Brighton for a week I thought I'd drop in. Nice and clean facilities, staff are friendly and plenty of machines/free weights available. Only downsides are that it's smaller than my regular club but of course that's a personal downside and not a reflection of the club or the brand. Also not enough lockers available and I feel the locker policy of not being able to reserve one isn't enforced as strictly as it should be as there were a few lockers with the same padlocks on them three days in a row at different times of the day

Negative experience: Has ONE rowing machine. Just one! No chance of getting on it in peak times. Also not enough lockers for peak time.

Fantastic experience: At the sweet spot of price and quality. The treadmill virtual runs are particularly fun.

Negative experience: I've experienced numerous payment issues whilst being here, they'll happily charge you for a whole month when there's 10 days left of said month, failure to take payment without notification, little regard for health and safety, 0 enforcement of age restictions. The staff are nice and the equipment is okay at best but everything else is lacking compared to other franchises I've been to

Fantastic experience: The first gym i felt comfortable to work out in without judgment. A great mix of people, More personal classes held in a studio providing all the privacy you need when sweating during a spin class or HITT class! A happy place where you can succeed your fitness goals!

Fantastic experience: Really well equipped gym , all the cardio and resistance machines you can think off plus some more ! (no waiting around for machines or benches either ) Great range of functional equipment too. Everything is clean and well maintained . Beautiful modern shower rooms, love the fact it's open 24 hours and no under 18s are allowed !

Negative experience: worst gym in the area - try the much larger brand new and cleaner "The Gym" down the road - be careful with membership - you can stop them from taking monies from your account but apparently if you don't tell them you are going to stop they are going to keep trying to take money and keep demanding for them even after you have stopped accessing. AVOID - the Gym down the road almost 50% cheaper membership without the hassle

Fantastic experience: As a relatively new gym-goer, I've found this gym to be friendly, helpful and with a great range of services. I'd also highly recommend Kev as a personal trainer, extremely knowledgeable, supportive and makes sure you're driven. Very friendly and will help you achieve your personal goals.

Positive experience: Decent range of equipment to meet the needs of most gym users. I like the fact that they have 2 Olympic platforms in the centre of the gym. Location is good for commuters as it's right next to the station. Staff were always friendly enough. However, for me the lack of changing facilities and only 2 showers might put some people off. Albeit, they have done well to squeeze what they can into the space provided.

Fantastic experience: A good place for workouts.

Negative experience: It’s a shame reading these negative reviews Snap don’t learn from them & improve rather than being so dismissive and accusing genuine customers as being competitors or ex staff (which says a lot about how they treat staff if they think negativity is from them). I’m not a current member, but I’m looking to join a gym so doing some research , needless to say I won’t be joining Snap. I have done a walk by and it does looked cramped, and badly arranged. My advice to Snap is to listen/read all feedback not just the positive, and do something about it rather than being so unprofessional and dismissive. Also, last tip (no need to thank me) have clear, transparent contracts.

Negative experience: Reluctantly giving this gym 1 star but only because I am unable to go into minus figures. Tiny, equipment crammed into a small stuffy ex-office space making it near impossible to workout without bumping into other members. If you ever do manage to stumble back to the door through all left-over equipment and the odor filled air caused by poor air con, the staff at reception will charge you a whole month's membership for the privilege of cancelling your membership. Even though no contract etc is emblazoned all over their marketing materials. Definitely one to avoid at all costs.
