Spartans Gym Southampton

Fantastic experience: I love training at Spartans. It's a real spit and sawdust gym. Good equipment, good people. Always friendly and welcoming.

Fantastic experience: 24 hour gym. Lots of equipment. Huge changing rooms. Showers working. All equipment is cleaned regularly.

Negative experience: Pay your website bill guys.

Fantastic experience: The boxing part is very rewarding and deserves alot of credit for what these lads do

Negative experience: Owner puts no heating in winter except a garbage portable heater that gets turnt on sometimes and the he is very cheap in fixing things and refurbs. After 6 months of being open, he still hasn't fixed the shower lol The owner doesn't know how to run a gym. Yes, it is an old school metal weights gym, but it doesn't mean it needs to be tatty, dirty and unsafe. There are leaks absolutely everywhere. Even the showers that were working for a few weeks, were very cheaply built and dirty. When their internet is down, you cant get in the gym, have to go home and do pushups lol

Fantastic experience: Overall one of the best gyms in the area, you’d have to travel far to find another like it. By far the best equipment, atmosphere and full of friendly members, top environment to be pushing yourself in. Can really test your limits in this place.

Negative experience: Signed up to this gym couple of months ago. Was told I could cancel at anytime, never signed a contract or given a copy of my contract nor were any of the terms and conditions explained! Was never told that I would have to give a month's notice at any point then charge you extra for the boxing gym upstairs even if you're only just using the bags for your own training. A very expensive gym with old out of date equipment where hardly any space in between equipment so you're almost on top of each other. Very very poor Customer Service, when I asked them for a copy of the contract I signed they just ignore my messages, probably because the gym is run by youngsters half the time and not the actual management!.. I have repeatedly asked for copies of the agreement/contracts and I also informed the gym that their staff who signed us up told us we could cancel at anytime, however I have now been told I have to give a month's notice! Management never get back to you and they don't train their staff to give you the correct information to begin with. Very very poor Customer Service!

Negative experience: It's more like privet gym with few guys who not happy with new members.... and the gym was close without any information for few days

Negative experience: Absolute disgusting people who own the gym, women (owner) absolutely lost it with me swearing at me multiple times and also pushing past me in a aggressive manner, a male worker tried to grab me and pull me out forcefully just for asking them to make the gym safer to use as it’s a complete war zone! There’s weights all over the gym, all the machines are run down and tatty looking, it’s a complete run down mess. The owners are simply disgusting low life scums who don’t know how to run a business nor treat there customers right. Avoid this gym at all costs and save your money 0/10!!!!
