Anytime Fitness Borehamwood

Positive experience: The gym can be very messy at times with dumbbells and plates being left on the floor all over the place. Plus the plates on the squat racks are also not in an orderly manner which can be annoying and it doesn't look very professional. On the other hand, it is a clean gym and the equipment are often clean and accessible. Not too sure why the previous lat pulldown machine was removed as this is a staple machine that is used within most gyms.

Positive experience: THE GYM IS MISSING BASIC EQUIPMENT FOR BACK TRAINING, WHICH IS UNACCEPTABLE FOR THE PRICE WE PAY.

Positive experience: PT's don't wear uniforms. Staff only talk to a few people. Staff don't correct poor technique. Members bring kids (12-13 year olds) in on weekends. Very dusty changing room and toilets not very clean.

Negative experience: After recently suffering being a victim of a scam and going through a negative work place experience and illness, I thought going to the gym would be "Just the therapy." The ppl managing this gym demanded I pay on the first of the month, I was able to make the payment on the tenth of each month. Each month they would demand I pay money on the first, block me accessing the gym and pile on a lateness fee. It's the first time I found a healthy way to manage my issues but was not given the chance to at Anytime fitness. They made me feel as "A nobody" with certainly no consideration. Anytime Fitness, say everything was explained whilst the issue was not an issue that needed explaining at the time, my circumstances changed.

Fantastic experience: Excellent gym. All the equipment is new and well-maintained, the staff are very good, and there's a real community feel amongst the membership. Two squat racks, loads of benches, an assault bike, WattBike, ski ergs, sled, and more.

Fantastic experience: Left virgin active 3 months ago to join anytime fitness borehamwood and probably the best decision ive made, good quality equipment always clean and never messy. Crazy how ALL the staff there are respectful friendly and always greet you with a smile its rare to find , shout out to you lot

Fantastic experience: Fantastic experience with the General Manager, Mike. Mike made me feel at ease and was incredibly profesional throughout the onboarding experience. The gym caters for all ages, abilities and the staff are so friendly. You won't find a better manager than Mike and team!!

Positive experience: Too much people at 6am.

Negative experience: If I could give a zero I would. So after me explaining I am only in the uk for 3 months and that i can’t be in a contract the “membership advisor” told me to sign up for three months (knowing full well I was leaving the country) Never mentioned anything about giving a months notice after 2 months. So imagine my surprise after three months when I get demands for missed payments for month 4. It’s a scam to take money post contract life without giving you all the info. I guess they work on commission and hide stuff to get members. The best most vile bit is they now have increased the membership for this extra month by 20 quid without notice. Funny how they only mention a months notice now isn’t it. The super sad thing is I was at Mill Hill but as a gym owner in South Africa I wanted to support a new small business by joining them in their opening month. More fool me I guess. Will update the review with how they handle this complaint. Watch this space….

Fantastic experience: Great gym offering; naturally everything new but cleanliness is being well maintained. Great selection of weights and resistance. Could do with a couple more treadmills but not been a problem so far.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic equipment and great shower rooms, really nice branded weights and digital keypad lockers so no padlocks to forget. Handy and convenient near the shops and my office for lunchtime workouts! Free parking for 3 hours outside too.
