Negative experience: On 9th July 2020, I cancelled my membership with your gym, at this time the website was down and a refurbishment was in place. Therefore, there were no email address or contact numbers. I contacted Energie Fitness Brooklands to cancel my membership - for VERY personal reasons. I had never entered the gym. I have attached screenshots from 9th July explaining my reasons for cancelling the membership. I recieved notification the same day that this had been processed. In September 2024, I began receiving emails from a third-party debt collection agency, stating I owe in the region of £90 from July 2024. I'd like to point out that I am concerned about GDPR given this should've been deleted upon my cancellation request - which was within my cooling off period. I will seek legal advice and request support from the DPA if I need. I have now been told that this is a final notice before I am at risk of CCJ, bailiff action or more. Given I have more than enough notice, I had a response to say this was being processed and reassured at the time of cancellation this is utterly disgraceful. I have made several attempts to contact the branch, with no response. I have called and been hung up on, and I have messaged various times on the social media page. There are MANY of us in the same situation. I am suffering from complex health conditions and I cannot face this added stress. I would sincerely appreciate acknowledgment of my email, both from yourselves and the debt management company as I have still yet to receive any response from them with my challenge and proof of cancellation. Once again, this is impacting my mental health seriously. I would also like to request which governing ombudsman body I can complain to should this not be resolved.

Negative experience: Was a decent gym but sold all their customers details to a dodgy debt collection agency but failed to tell them which ones did or didn't owe money. Now being chased despite paying all fees and getting confirmation of cancellation in writing. Stay away.

Negative experience: They don’t answer the phone. Never been a member of this gym, only another franchise over 5 years ago. Never even been to this gym, and they’re sending me emails asking for over £100 in debt, but don’t answer the phone.

Fantastic experience: Cleanest gym in Milton Keynes, positive vibes especially with Matei

Negative experience: Not a bad gym in itself, albeit small. But they scam you years down the line if you terminate your contract. I terminated my contract at the end of 2022. I was told by the owner at the time that I'd pay for a further 3 months then the contract would be terminated early - which was agreeable. Now over 2 years down the line, I've been contacted by debt collectors for one months membership and an admin fee of £65! When I call the gym, the managers there say I have a reimbursement of a months membership on my account and they can't work out why but they wont send me over the details so I can check it out for myself and they also cant help with the debt collectors that Energie head office have instructed. Shambolic. I paid the demand in the end as I don't think its worth a CCJ! Be wary of your contract with them.

Negative experience: New gym staff! Since they have taken over this gym has gone down from there! I would highly recommend stay clear of this save your money. Shambles, unorganised and useless staff.

Fantastic experience: I've recently joined the gym and was welcomed by the lovely Matei! He showed me around the gym and i must say this gym is by far ome of the best I've been too. He kindly helped me learn a lot of the different machines.

Negative experience: Gym itself is decent. Had to cancel my membership due to leaving the area and that's when the issues started. Suddenly had an email out of the blue 3 months later from debt collectors after cancelling. I've contacted both the gym and the main support team, not a peep from both of them. Wasn't told anything about a cancellation fee, £65. Overall gym is good just don't leave, else you'll be heckled by collectors because the gym team does not assist nor respond when you reach out.

Negative experience: Don’t recommend because after 1 year of my cancellation I’ve received an email from a debt collector saying that I owe them £90+ and of course my credit score is already affected because of this situation. Also I sent to them proof that I don’t owe them anything (as confirmed by Harlands, the company that was dealing with the Direct Debits for Energie Fitness)

Negative experience: I cancelled my gym membership 3 ish years ago in the most procedural way possible and received a letter demanding outstanding payment. It’s not even possible to get in touch with someone from the gym either. Disgraceful and embarrassing frankly. I would encourage you to not give them any of your data or use the gym lest they send you a letter of the same kind years later.

Negative experience: Disgusting practice of sending false demand letters out. I've never even set foot inside, let one inquired about memberships. See you in court.

Fantastic experience: Staff member Matei gave me the best advices, he taught me how to boost my confidence inside the gym and feel confortabile to train alongside other members .

Negative experience: Was a member of this gym 3 and a half years ago. Left when I was relocating for work. Gave appropriate notice, no outstanding balance. Yesterday...a whole 3.5 years later received a threatening letter [final notice] from a debt collection agency. In three and a half years have heard nothing from them as my account was closed in good standing. It turns out customer data was passed to a 3rd party who sent these letters to anyone who not only attended gym but submitted an enquiry and had never stepped foot in th3 gym. There has been no statement online and no effort to rectify, other than telling people to dispute the issue with this 3rd party agency. Local social media groups were flooded with people having received this letter who had absolutely no previous history of joining this gym. So unprofessional!

Negative experience: ******WARNING AVOID************* I was briefly a member here during COVID. However when I suspened my direct debit during lockdown i was chased for the payment. Olga said it should have been frozen via the app, although it wasn't possible to do until the following month. She apologised and put it on a 2 month hold in which time I gave my notice and left. My wife was also a member there and had her membership on hold to which they unfroze during a lockdown and chased for her payment. Obviously she left too. Olga's obsession with members paying during lockdown was quit off putting, especially as she receiving help from the government. THEN to my amazement over 3 and half years later....today I received an email from a collection agency threatening legal action. This they said was due to an outstanding balance of 1 months membership £18.99 + £65 Contractual Admin Fees. No contact number on the email for the collection agent. The contact number on Energy fb messager 'as they can't message right now' is Out of Service. The contact number on google in constantly engaged.. Surprise Surprise UPDATE 28/11/2024 ****PLEASE AVIOD THIS GYM AS THEY ARE EITHER RUNNING A SCAM OR THERE HAS BEEN MAJOR DATA BREACH**** Further to my review on the 25/09/2024 and a reassuring reply from energy fitness. I have received another email from Argentum Capital Partners Ltd threatening a CCJ, Baliffs, Attachment of earnings, Property charge, charging order and additional costs. UNLESS I pay a reduced amount within 48 hours. A classic scare tactic for a quick payment !!!! What is worse after the original email I emailed the collection agent twice as there is no contact number. I went into the gym spoke with the manager and followed up the meeting with an email as he requested. I didn't receive anything back. To make this even worse I found out the Gym Franchise has been taken over and the new owners have passed everyone's details to the Agency to collect what they think is outstanding amounts owed the previous owner. A lot of the people being chased didn't even join the gym. Energie Fitness Please take control of this situation.

Negative experience: Wednesday 25th Sep gym not open at 06:00. Waited till 06:30 and still not open. Need to use it before work so this is such a let down. The place seems to have got dirty and not well looked after. Shame as it started off nice.

Fantastic experience: Jake & Mati - some of the team I have worked with so far: Professional, polite, welcoming - I feel great coming to this gym and would highly recommend. What a difference to the other gyms i have been too!

Negative experience: I loved going to this gym till up to a month ago. It's been a month - you can NEVER find any wet wipes, or paper with disinfectant gel to clean the machines after using them , like they are removed on purpose. In the past you could find them around every corner and I used to think this was the cleanest gym I had ever been - Stretching mats are the filthiest I have ever seen them -after cleaning one of them before using it with toilet paper - couldn't find any other paper!! In the past I remember gym staff cleaning them up thoroughly with a bucket filled with some cleaning liquid before closing the gym for the day, now probably it's left up to the customers. -

Negative experience: the gym is poorly maintained I've been going to the gym for 2 years. It used to be a very well-kept and clean place. Now there are often no wet wipes to clean equipment, there is no liquid hand soap in the bathroom, there is no alcohol gel for hands, the bathroom is often dirty. Many classes are canceled and there is always a different person on staff. Before the staff used to be smiling and helpful, now they seems like no one cares about the members anymore. I'm sad to see the direction it's going and how it seems like the gym isn't being taken care of

Fantastic experience: Excellent gym, very friendly staff. Owners are personally invested in the gym and ensures everything is in order.

Fantastic experience: I switched from Pure, and could not be happier! This gym is never crowded. The visitors are all nice, all wearing shoes (unlike Pure gym visitors, who are able to take their shoes off and leave them in the middle of the gym), wearing clean clothing and generally the level of culture is so much higher. From machines perspective, this gym has close to everything. My only wishes would be to have a straight Smith machine instead of an incline one and have a hack squat (but it's rare in non-bidybuilding gyms, so it's fine - I travel to Fintess first for it). Additionally, the owners are the nicest people, really attentive and kind.

Fantastic experience: Joined Energie fitness when it opened up 3 years ago. Lovely staff that always make you feel welcome. Great atmosphere and everyone gets on within the gym. My kids come every Friday and use the free martial arts sessions while I work out. Good range of equipment on offer

Negative experience: This gym sends constant emails and texts to sign up after I had signed up to book a tour via Instagram. Since then I have toured the gym and the gym is just not what I’m looking for in a gym, not enough equipment, hardly any space etc. Since then I have attempted to unsubscribe from their emails to find out that the unsubscribe link has been disabled?! And the number you have to text to unsubscribe also doesn’t seem to work as they continue to pester me. +447908662314 Is the number. If the owners are reading this, I understand the gym is failing and you need members but pestering people isn’t going to get you anywhere. I understand you are a franchise of a chain of gyms so I will be attempting to contact your superiors and I will be writing new reviews of ur gym until you stop pestering me.

Negative experience: This is a joke. They keep stating they are under new management. It doesn't mean you keep sending arrears letters to customers who have cancelled months or years ago. The phone number never works and it's the same number they have provided to previous customers. A total joke and legal action needs to be taken as this is affecting a lot of people in regards to credit checks etc.

Fantastic experience: I feel at home at energie Fitness. I wake up each day looking forward to the exercise , lovely people, clean environment and warm welcome of the best team i have ever met. Thank you Alex, thank you Olga, Candice , Aaron, Nick etc.

Negative experience: *Update: I used to love this gym but since the previous owners left, it has gone down hill. The gym now is filthy and there’re no wet wipes to clean the equipment. Toilet bins are never emptied anymore. (Original review) We only spent 7 days here and was thoroughly taken care of by Olga and her amazing team. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. The gym is clean, well-kept with new equipment. My very small complaint is it can get busy for my liking. I highly recommend this gym to everyone. X thank you

Fantastic experience: Modern gym. Some great cardio and resistance machines and all the free weights you'd expect. Very friendly staff.

Positive experience: It's a small gym, there have been times I went in and it was so full I had to leave as I was unable to do any of my workouts due to lack of space and equipment. It's a local gym which is perfect for me, but, in all honesty a little overpriced compared to the size and the equipment it has to offer. Overall the staff are super friendly and very helpful, and if you plan to visit make sure you check how many people are in and have a workout plan as you might have to wait on your turn.

Fantastic experience: Lovely little gym with lots of equipment and classes. The instructors are very friendly and always eager to help learn how to use the equipment or suggest the best exercises to help you improve your fitness or mobility. Lots of good equipment. They ensure high level of hygiene and cleanliness too. Overall definitely recommend this gym to e everyone.

Fantastic experience: Nice and clean place for doing your excersise. Helpfull and nice staff, found myself comfortable, it's not the biggest in size place, but size does not matter much. They are busy days, but most of the time I was able to find space for me. Many diffrent challenges and events now and then to compete with others.

Positive experience: Good clean/ modern gym. Not too busy. But abs area always taken up by classes at same time every day. Doorbell entry is inefficient when fob fails.

Fantastic experience: Énergie Fitness Brooklands is just not a gym or fitness club. It has lot more to it. I have been to this gym for nearly an year and have always been welcomed , assisted and motivated to move forward not just in getting fit but also in life. The staff at Brooklands believe in empowerment , believes and understands you as a person and where you would like to be or achieve , helps to take next steps towards positive changes. Even people who come to train reflect positivity and are very accommodating , I guess this is the culture the staff brings out and then further reflects through everyone. It is an epitome of love , care , passion , positivity and happiness. Guess if you get all that qualities in one place you do end up changing yourself for better. They offer various coaching sessions where you can push yourself and achieve new goals , this can be done either in groups or can look out for personal sessions too. Don’t wait , give them a ring. That’s what I did and there was no looking back for me.

Showers are always spotless, weights put away, paper towel always available! Thank you Rachel! Very clean, friendly gym, usually quite if you don't go at peak times

Negative experience: Me and my wife used to like this Gym before lockdown. During lockdown they send us both an Email to not cancel the membership and forced us to pay our monthly subscription even if we didn't use the gym for almost 4 months. Manager was rude on the mail responding and we had to cancel our membership to stop charging us. Total disappointed would never visit again. There are better Gym in town with better price range

Fantastic experience: Have only been going a few days but what an atmosphere. Its friendly, staff are super helpful and polite. Gym is very clean ( always see someone cleaning ) and plenty of equipment. Can't fault the place.

Positive experience: The staff are very welcoming, facilities are well maintained. One of the cleanest facilities I've experienced. The staff should be proud of the efforts they take to maintain the facilties. 4.5 stars, only criticism I have is that there is sometimes a wait for equipment. This could be resolved by bringing in some more items, such as power/squat racks. If that happens, it's 5 star all day!

They do the little things really really well like VIV remembering my name from day 1 & ABDUL motivating me to come back day in day out .
