Positive experience: Great atmosphere, fantastic for mental and physical health, very inclusive, timetable recently changed, so doesn't suit me as well as before. Trainers excellent

Fantastic experience: love puregym and how handy it can be. moved to derry for the uni and while I could use magee’s own gym, there just isn’t the level of flexibility that puregym has, nor the size and vibe that it has! there’s a vast amount of equipment for arms chest legs cardio etc but there’s also a decently sized area for anything else that doesn’t require such equipment

Fantastic experience: Pure is the place to free urself from low mood and stress and whilst doing this, you are improving with Ur fitness. Great craic.

Fantastic experience: I was in Derry for a few days with work, this is hands down the best puregym I’ve been too, I’m usually not too keen on pure gyms as I find them on the small side to my usual gym JD gyms, however I was very pleasantly surprised with this location, the gym is well maintained and clean, there was also plenty of equipment, I went one day during the peak time and I didn’t have to wait for anything. Definitely recommend this gym

Fantastic experience: Great gym! I had severe gym-anxiety when I first joined and now I absolutely love it! Loads of different machines and equipment to use! Really friendly and approachable staff that are happy to help if you need assistance! I especially love the classes & really appreciate the coaches who will always give alternative exercises if anyone has injuries or finding a certain exercise difficult! Too often you see and hear negative feedback and it's important to share the positives!

Fantastic experience: Great gym with lots of equipment. It has 6 squat racks where most gyms might have 2 if you're lucky. Good price too but my only issue is that you need a UK bank account to pay monthly which is the cheapest option.

Negative experience: One weekend, a bottle of water placed in the holder on the treadmill, fell underneath the treadmill to my left. There was no staff available to assist me,I had to carry on with my workout without water.Your gym doesn’t have cups that I could’ve used to avail of tap water from the toilets. When I’m eventually I returned to the gym to, I informed one of your staff, what had happened and was surprised at the apathy I experienced. I had to prompt the staff to recover my bottle of water.I would also like to add prior to this, I tried Facebook, but received an automated response,I tried to go through the app, to leave feedback I don’t think I received a response. On twitter, I was told ‘there’s no staff on that day,at that time… hence no one was available. Can we help you with anything else?’ Sufficed to say, apathy, complete lack of empathy, or a resolve. Brushed under the carpet. I’m still considering leaving some reviews online. Disappointed! Pure gym clearly excels at poor customer service

Fantastic experience: I visit Derry annually for work and Pure Gym has always remained the best option for me to work out. This year I have also been lucky to work out with Jamal, a highly professional personal trainer . The knowledge and experience which Jamal reflected during our sessions was prominent. I will certainly purchase additional sessions during my stay with him for I could see nice results.

Negative experience: The gym equipment is absolutely amazing but the staff are extremely ignorant me and my fiance who has asthma got kicked out of this gym just because she nearly had an asthma attack in a cycle class which is just ridiculous. Do not go here unless you want to be talked to by horrible coaches.

Positive experience: Cancelled my membership for good at the weekend. I work out somewhere else but I was intending to use this gym more in the future but my last visit was the one that took the biscuit. On that visit the machines I was on stinked of bad sweat. Nobody cares. 99 out of 100 users don't care about towels or wiping machines after use. Nobody brings towels. They think nothing of walking away from a machine leaving it damp with sweat. Same every visit. I actually felt like the odd person out wiping machines down after use. Due to the current global outbreak its more important than ever to be clean. Pity because other than that problem it's an excellent gym with great equipment.

Fantastic experience: I've used lots of puregyms and here is up there with the best of them. Well maintained throughout, machines are allways 100% lots of weights. Really good apart from the stank in the men's shower area. Smells like protein overload Never had to deal with any of the staff but seeing them interact with other members they seems very friendly and helpful.

Positive experience: Good gym with plenty of equipment. Over subscribed personal trainers take away from the rating. Some PTs have group sessions on the gym floor. 10+ people using equipment. The staff and management are great however a cap should be put on the number of people that can be trained in group sessions on the gym floor by PTs. I have no issue with people earning a living or working towards bettering themselves via a personal trainer. But as a former member of the gym I found it frustrating that early in the mornings equipment was being blocked by groups.

Positive experience: Great gym , plenty of machines and free weights. 24 hour opening is new for Derry and is definitely the way to go especially to avoid the steroid users, posers and loiterers. As I say great gym and the benchmark to beat.

Positive experience: Very convenient being open 24 hours. As well as being quite large, my membership spans most UK puregyms and is roughly the same price of other standalone gyms in Derry. Needs more deadlift stations but otherwise plenty of facilities.

Fantastic experience: £180 a year for unlimited use or £6 for 1 day. Best value large gym if paying yearly, but if you want to just pay daily then the Council run Folye Arena is £5 and for Another £1.50 you can use the swimming pool, and it has cubicles in the unisex changing room or single sex changing room without cubicles. They also have plenty of free parking are are set in Saint Coloums park which has plenty of paths and cycle paths. Pure gym has Free 02 WiFi. Its clean and well maintained. You have to bring your own padlock for the lockers in the single sex changing rooms that don't have cubicles. The showers are in separate cubicles with plenty of hot water. They are open 24 hrs a day 365 days a year. They have lots of exercise equipment and weights but no sauna, pool or steam room. The car park only allows 2hrs free parking or you'll get a £60 fine but when you enter purgym there is a tablet screen on the wall next to the entrance which is hard to see, and if you enter your name and car reg then you can stay free in the car park until midnight

Negative experience: Possibly the worst gym I've ever been to. Not even worth the one star. I left after a month. If you're looking for a really good gym with up to date equipment and fantastic instructors, do yourself a favour and take yourself across to DW in the Waterside.

Fantastic experience: The most modern gym in Derry-Londonderry city side. Good equipment quality (weigths, resistance machines, cardio equipment). Recent functional training area upstairs. Sometimes is realy busy what can condition your training. Open 24 hours a day. Group classes and personal training available. Very affordable membership.

Fantastic experience: Lively and good at helping with injuries!

Positive experience: What can you say it open 24hours, 365 days a year and it has everything you will need. If your looking for over 50kg dumbells then your not in luck. It can be very busy in the morning rush hour around 7-10am or after work times 4-7pm.
