Negative experience: Unfair cancelation Policy & Credit Threats - Extremely Disappointed I'm really disappointed with how this gym handles cancellations. They say you need to give one month's notice, but they make it more like two months because of how they count time. Let me explain: If you tell them you want to cancel in the middle of a month, you have to pay for the whole next month too. So, if you say in mid-July that you want to quit, you're stuck paying for all of August as well. I tried talking to the manager and the are manager, but they seem to care more about money than treating people fairly. And on top of that, they threaten to use debt collectors and hurt your credit score if you don't pay even after you've given notice. I'm really let down by this gym. I can't recommend it to anyone. I suggest finding a place that treats you better, because this one doesn't seem to care.

Fantastic experience: You won’t find a friendlier bunch at the snap fitness Ashton Gate! If you’re new to the gym this is a place where you will feel welcome, the team are approachable and help out on form if needed. The classes are enthusiastic and for all levels and enjoyable. The community here is one I’ve never had at a gym before, they arrange hikes and park runs for you to join in on and make you feel part of something more than just a gym. Sam, Shauna and Liam are the best and are what make this place special, always smashing it!

Positive experience: The gym is quite limited in terms of their equipments but, I enjoy how quiet it is and I hope it doesn't get any busier!

From the minute to step inside the door your made to feel welcome.. staff are amazing, go above and beyond to help people, arranging hikes, writing up plans if your stuck with training, showing how to use all machines and helping you get the best experience at the gym Definitely the best gym I’ve ever been too!

Fantastic experience: A lovely approachable gym with lots of good equipment! Cannot credit the staff here enough, they make you feel so welcomed and are so supportive. A big shout out to the manager Justin, who puts in so much hard work running behind the scenes, front desk work and leading incredible HIIT classes that we all love! Built such a motivating community of people that I look forward to seeing each week :)

Fantastic experience: Have been coming to Snap Fitness for just over a year since I started my personal training sessions with Katie Baker. The gym itself is amazing, always feel so comfortable with staff and use of equipment. Katie herself is the best, always goes above and beyond with all her clients and members of the gym and I couldn't thank her enough for the goals she has helped me hit! Best hype girl around x

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to snap for about a year, it’s a nice clean professional gym with great staff and lots of equipment. I’ve been having PT sessions with James Kelly (one of the PTs down there) for almost 12 weeks. I wish I had met him years ago as my fitness has improved more in 12 weeks with James than in many years of training on my own. I’ve seen weight loss and muscle growth that I’ve never been able to achieve on my own. Would throughly recommend him to anyone looking to see results. Fantastic experience: I have been visiting this gym for a few years now. I love it for its small size and friendly atmosphere. The staff are welcoming and professional. It’s a great place for people who are just starting to train and may feel nervous, no egos here just people wanting to be active. People of all sizes and fitness levels attend the gym so don’t be afraid to come in. I have been having personal training sessions with Brad Hicks. He took the time to listen to what I wanted and to create a programme to achieve those goals. He helps to push me that little extra to get the most of each session. It’s well worth it. The techniques he teaches ensure I am able to train safely and minimise any risks of hurting myself by performing heavy lifts incorrectly. I would highly recommend training with Brad if you are looking to lose weight, look good or just improve you overall fitness levels. Do it. You won’t regret it.

Fantastic experience: I have been a member here since it opened and never thought I would feel comfortable walking into a gym let alone going on my own, but the friendly staff make it so easy to come and go, they're approachable and willing to help if asked. In the last few months I have signed up to work with James (insta - James.kellypt) for 1:1 PT sessions and have had a great time working with him. His knowledge is fab and if he isn't sure on something (I have an on going ankle issue he hadn't heard of before) he went away researched the best ways to train and help mobilise/stretch to get full results within our sessions and beyond. Highly recomend.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going since September 2020, I love going to the gym it’s always clean and tidy and a nice environment, and in recent months been training with James Kelly (a personal trainer there) and he has been great showing me the correct ways for doing things like deadlifts and showing me new exercises that I wouldn’t have thought of and has really helped me progress in the gym and best of all he is a great guy, easy to talk to and always willing to help you out. Negative experience: Everything was great till I attempted to end my membership. I asked for this before the pandemic, gave the contractual month notice, but for personal reasons ended up freezing the account. They actually froze all accounts during lock down. The issue started when they were due to 'reactivate' payments. I also had to renew my bank details so they got in touch about that, providing a phone number where to update those. I had no intention of going back to the gym, so asked them to terminate the contract instead. Their answer was that my membership had been reactivated again, so to cancel I'd have to fill in another cancellation form and give another month notice (meant paying another month too). I tried to reach out the managers but they didn't show any empathy and kept repeating the same instructions. I tried to email other Snap Fitness addresses and nobody ever replied. By the time I decided to update my bank details, nobody picked up the phone so ended up using a platform to pay the monthly bill plus a fee. I just don't understand a service where customers seem to be ignored, where your inbox is filled with propaganda instead of receiving information about what matters, specially since there's no intranet. I highly recommend Pure gym instead, where cancelling is as easy as cancelling your direct debit.

Fantastic experience: Great gym with friendly staff and good equipment.

Positive experience: This is a great gym - the equipment is great, not too crowded, staff are friendly and most of the people put the weights back! The only thing that could be better are the showers - there's sometimes a 10-15 minute wait for one to come free and the extractor fans aren't great so it takes much longer to get dry, leading to longer waits.

Fantastic experience: I like this gym, doesn't get too busy, though I tend to avoid the evening after 6pm. I have found the staff to be friendly and helpful. Facilities are clean and tidy and the equipment works well. Showers available with soap and hair dryers. Be mindful, the car park belongs to Sainsburys and there is a time limit of 2 hours.

Fantastic experience: Awesome gym fitted with very modern equipment. It has great facilities, great training machines, spotlessly clean high quality showers which make the place look like a 5* hotel. There are some cool people going to this place so there is great atmosphere here.

Fantastic experience: The gym is brand new and the equipment is in top shape. Their machines are a quite techy, which doesn't mean they are hard to use, but you can sync your workouts on the phone, watch TV on the machines' screens and, in the case of the treadmills, even compete with someone else elsewhere in the world who is logged into the same system in. Or you can just look at scenery as you bike while the intensity of your workouts simulates what is happening in that scenario. They have a good amount of weights and other strength training equipment, various boxing equipment, foam rollers, TRX, you name it. Aside from live classes they also have Fitness on Demand. So you can put on a class on a screen whenever you like. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. They take the time to help you out, as it has been the case for an issue I had. They were right on it and resolved everything to satisfaction. Oh and 24/7 access! I wholly recommend this gym!
