Fantastic experience: Very much appreciate your kind and friendly staff whilst I’ve been coming to the leisure centre over the last few weeks whilst nursing a small back injury... Please also pass on special thanks to Fiona your Body Balance instructor, for a 53 year old guy who was somewhat nervous about what to do and expect, Fiona welcomes all, the class is informative and extremely helpful with the seizing up of the body(and mind) that comes with age and not putting yourself first, highly recommend for all, super friendly too!!

Fantastic experience: The leisure centre gym, swimming pool, and playing place are top-notch! The facilities are great, and there's something for everyone. I highly recommend this place for a fun and active experience.

Fantastic experience: Took my 5 year old great granddaughter for the fun time on Thursday, she was extra excited that she could go into the shallow end of the big pool with all the floats, pool noodles and balls, we both had a great time. Staff were friendly and there were 3 lifeguards, felt very reassured and safe.

Fantastic experience: I have just completed the 12 week weight management course at the leisure centre. With the guidance & support from Rich & Amy I have lost 20lbs & gained 4% muscle. Rich & Amy have gone above & beyond to support each person with their own individual journey. Rich & Amy created a positive & friendly environment, there has been no judgement, only huge support throughout. The 12 week programme gives you the opportunity to try each class without the worry of being the only new person in the class. Rich & Amy are a real asset to our Leisure Centre & the ongoing support they offer is second to none. I highly recommend this course to everyone, but especially those who need a reset in their health & fitness lifestyle

Fantastic experience: Nicely set up Leisure Center with a range of services. Nice little cafe and seating area . However parking at busy times is an obvious problem within a fairly confined area

Negative experience: Just dropped my 14 year old twins off for the Friday swim session they gave the woman £10 and were told it's card only this basically means that any teenagers that don't have a bank card can't go swimming on their own how absolutely ridiculous

Fantastic experience: We came for the first time today, as the first pool we'd tried was too busy. We had a lovely swim with the kids. The pool was fun, with toys and a slide, and the staff were great. It was brilliant value for a family too. Highly recommended and we'll definitely be back!

Fantastic experience: Excellent facilities. I have used Penzance Leisure Centre since it opened. I have a corporate flexible membership and this gives me the use of the swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. Also the gym which has just been refurbished and the classes. There is cafe you can meet and have a chat and socialise with other gym members; or just go for a coffee and chat with a friend. The staff are friendly, helpful on hand to give advice on fitness programs; there is a new system to measure body BMI, muscle, fat and water levels. There are beauty treatments available by pre booking. Lots more available.

Positive experience: I used to live in Penzance so have known about the leisure center since it's been built but haven't been there for years but decided to drive down from near Plymouth with the kids as it was supposed to be horrible weather (and it was!). I'm really glad I took them there, we turned up for the 'fun session' which was 1hr 30mins long and they had an excellent time. The baby pool wasn't too crowded although the life guards could've told the older kids to stop entering the pool and splashing the babies, including my own as although there's no age limit for each pool, you are given a certain coloured band to prevent this from happening, I just didn't wanna be the bad guy and spoil the other kids fun, even though I exited early as my 9 month old was becoming a little distressed by all the splashing which was a shame. I did phone ahead the day before and they said the flume would be open for the older kids pool but when we arrived, they said it was shut, no reason given just, it's not on today! I'm sure there are lots of other better, more equipped pools from Plymouth to Penzance but all in all, it was a good day out and everyone had a fun time, which was the main thing. There's plenty of parking at the facility, aswell as a viewing area if other family/friends can't or don't want to go swimming which Is good. I think it was only £3 for each child (my 3 are all under 12 years old) which is good value but I'm not sure of the next admission rate but I can't imagine it'd be much more. If you've never been I'd recommend going. Have fun!

Positive experience: I feel I'm falling out of love with this place membership isn't cheap and when you can never really use the gym equipment and get the full workout you want as its too busy and not enough equipment even after a revamp is a bitter pill to swallow.

Fantastic experience: As a new member recovering some serious illness took my confidence right away. The Penzance Leisure Centre opens at six thirty am. So I thought I would arrive while it was quiet. As I approached there were already a number of cars there so anxiety ramped up. I went to the reception and asked a few questions about where things were ect. Aimed at the swimming pool and excellent clean changing area a brief shower and a small panic attack and into a pleasantly warm enormous swimming pool. The water did not attack my eyes so goggles were unnecessary as the water treatment is well balanced. After a few lengths of wheezing and stopping a friendly life guard came by just to check I was ok. I thought at the time how reassuring is that ? Having a chat and a laugh about my unfamiliar surroundings and lack of ability made my nervous break down take a long walk. I would also like to thank all those athletes who were kind enough to smile and be encouraging. So a massive thank you for the first class swimming expirience. On asking about the sauna and steam room I was informed the opening time was 8am so an hour to wander. Not a bit of it !!! If you don't mind waiting twenty minutes for the rooms to heat up . That is the extra mile that made my day and wholeheartedly 100% RECOMENDED

Fantastic experience: I signed up in december specifically for the gym..all the machinery in the gym is spotless and in very good working order..hugh plate glass picture windows wrap around the entire length of the gym making for a great ambiance with plenty of light...An entirely positive atmosphere... Personally I'm really not a people person ..but I can get on with my routine ..never feel crowed or that the place is over full and actually enjoy the mix off family and kids in the pool(really good pool) as well as the more determined sports types.... and ...theres a sauna /steam rooms...oh and the crew that work there are really cool helpfull and know there stuff.. ..in July I had to go back and work two months in London..tried joining 3 different gyms there ..(the gym I wanted to join had a three month minimum sign up period)they were all awfull dark poorly maintained...smelly! too different degrees none had saunas one had a pool..and they all cost considerably more...Penzance leasure center ..basically is awsome really good value for money ...

Fantastic experience: I have been a member of the Penzance Leisure Centre since the start of the year and I cannot be more happy with the facility and its people. Yes, there are little things that could be improved but all in all it is very good... The staff have been so helpful and supportive through my little, or should I say 'big' journey to be 'less big' ... The Class instructors are incredible (Kelly, Sharon, Lynn!) and have been the backbone of my experience at the centre. The dedication and support during and after the classes, means that you do not feel awkward or alone in fulfilling your goals... it is almost like having a personal trainer but without the expense. Many of the classes are attended by women and as I am often the only man in the classes it felt a little odd at first... I did consider wearing a wig so I would fit in but in the end I made a few comrades and all is well! So, if you are a man then there is no need to talk it a high-pitch tone and wear a leotard (unless you want to). The gym instructors (Janet, Simon etc) are equally great and always happy to help with any questions with the equipment... In terms of value, the membership is worth every penny and possibly more. I seldom hear people moan about the facility and everyone seems to be happy... I think that says alot. So, if you want to shed a few pounds and enjoy yourself while doing it... look no further than this place! Btw, they have not paid me to say this but a free coffee in their lovely little cafe wouldn't go a miss, hint hint! Anyway, ENJOY! Oh, the reception people are lovely too...!!!

Positive experience: I think it a great place but be careful what your signing up for I apparently signed up for a year's contract Even if your not going you still have to pay. You have to carry on paying till the year ends or you'll recieve a letter with what you owe to then have to pay them back anyway. They did say that they maybe something else we can do just have to wait and see what it is.

Negative experience: I am sorry to say that we are VERY disappointed with Penzance Leisure Centre. Its difficult to know where to start! But for example, today we attended our first ever class. Never before have we felt so DISABLED and UNWELCOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We were told conflicting information by staff, which resulted in us being told off by an officious instructor! Also, when the Gym closed for a week, NO ONE was notified by Email, so we had no idea and turned up ready for a work out. Did we get a discount??? NO!!!!!!!!! Bad show!!!!!!!! When I asked why we were not emailed, I was told by the centre Manager that they did not have everyones Email address, dispite this being a compulsory part of the application process, so I find it VERY hard to believe! If this really is true, then these are obviously management failings! How difficult would it have been to send out a group Email We had an induction on Sunday with the promise that next time we came, our programes would be ready for us to work from. Sadly there was nothing, and when I asked, I was told that the person "probably had not bothered" BAD BAD BAD BAD! I could say alot more, in fact I do wonder why I am paying £67 a month for such rubbish!
