Fantastic experience: Used this gym for a week while on holiday and what can I say other than this is one of if not the nicest gym I’ve been to clean every day great choice in equipment and at the times I went everything I needed was available

Negative experience: I had a frustrating experience with Nick I think his name was regarding my membership. I thought it was a flexible monthly payment because the representative (Nick) never mentioned that it was a 12-month contract when I signed up. The only thing he said was to ensure I had money in my Revolut card, which I later thought was strange. I did sign a few documents, including health-related information, but I assumed that was standard practice. When I contacted customer service, the representative became hostile, raised his voice, and accused me of lying. He even called me a “skinny, scrawny guy,” to which I replied, “Why are you getting personal?” which I found completely disrespectful. He mentioned that if I had spoken to another team member, they would have canceled my membership, but since I was dealing with him, he was unwilling to admit any error. This treatment constitutes a breach of duty and care, justifying my decision to cancel the membership. I advise others to clarify all terms before signing up.

Fantastic experience: Great gym, equipment little crowded but went twice and wasn't too busy! Staff absolutely wonderful and went above and beyond to help me have a good work out!

Negative experience: Heavily overpriced for tourists. Couldn’t even share my friends £10 day pass.

Fantastic experience: Hidden gem in the lake district. Was up for my brother's wedding but didn't know of any gyms. Quick Google and I found this gym. Has a fair amount of equipment and closes at 10 pm. You'll need to download an app and register etc and pay for the day pass if you go during unmanned hours. Definitely worth a trip and the people are friendly

Positive experience: The gym is good and got everything you need but we came on a Sunday to find out the studio and sauna are closed as no staff working. Not sure how no staff means the gym is open but the studio and sauna are closed?

Positive experience: Amazing gym with a good selection of equipment. Peak time wasn't busy and everyone seemed very friendly. The app to get into the gym is a bit frustrating as you need an internet connection for it to work.

Negative experience: Prohibitively expensive and unneccessary minimum contracts and my experience via email contact is terrible customer service. Disappointing for a local business

Fantastic experience: Incredible atmosphere, tucked away in the valleys. You can see running water and sheep through the windows, but inside the feeling is great. Classy, clean, great equipment, smells good, the showers & changing rooms also very nice. Hopefully I can come back to visit one day

Fantastic experience: Quality gym equipment, everything you need to build muscle, atmosphere is also very good. Good music playing so not necessary to wear headphones (if you don't want to). Makes you feel motivated + focused in there. Ideal.

Fantastic experience: I am impressed by the mashines and their variety, loads of space too, good art decoration and easy place to park. I signed for a year to get my legs shaped as the leg press is not available else in Lake District gyms.

Positive experience: Great selection of stuff, clean and has a sauna. Music is rubbish and so loud can't here my own music through headphones

Fantastic experience: This morning I really enjoyed taking part at Heidi's spinning class, this time it was above and beyond my expectation. Heidi, knowing that we were good cyclists put together I would say an advance class in which we had to push really hard all the way through with short "rest intervals". It would be nice to have an advance spinning class on schedule

Fantastic experience: Attentive, helpful, friendly staff. Small gym, but has all essential equipment and is worth 5*. Clean and good ventilation for safety. One rare gym where you can find soap in a shower. Extra points for that. I even found my favourite brand of hair dryer in a changing room. Very well managed.

Positive experience: Decent variety of equipment, some of the equipment is old. The gym would benefit alot if there was a horizontal pull up bar which can allow you do you normal pull ups and muscle ups. For some reason there are almost no 5kg plates.

Fantastic experience: Phenomenal equipment and quality services Couldn't ask for more really. Affordable , reliable and effective. If you're looking to join a gym to improve your health- look no further!

Fantastic experience: Really welcoming gym. Great equipment that goes way beyond general fitness with lots of top end kit. We were travelling through the Lakes and were able to just turn up and get a day pass. Heidi was super helpful and informative. They keep the place spotless and there’s free coffee(!)… really pleased. Will be back.
