Negative experience: Tried to cancel the last few months, but no response to emails, not much luck getting through on the phone either. It’s charged on your debit card so it doesn’t count as a direct debit so can’t cancel it my end. Can only hope they’ve seen my last email and finally taken action but just not replied. Wouldn’t recommend.

Negative experience: Now I have been a member since they opened and been coming on and off for years, but recently I decided to cancel my membership and here is why. Constant machines are out of use/broken and have been told they will be fixed soon. That was six months ago. Some people seem to have forgotten gym etiquette and not put plates back and leave them on equipment that some people would struggle to move. Now I have never seen a staff member "reset" the gym plates and equipment. Not wiping down equipment after use as well which is a huge turn off and hygiene problem. There is not enough focus on cardio machines and space for people to do that. The toilet facilities have always been terrible and I have never seen a change down there. Two water fountains with terrible pressure and no filtering system on them, lucky if both are both working. Pricing seems to have gone up over the time which is expected but doesn't reflect on the conditions of the gym. I would love to support a local gym business, but with all these chain gyms offering better pricing, better hours, better quality of equipment care. Its hard to stay.

Fantastic experience: Been going here for years and years. Super friendly front of house. Friendly clientele who are there to train and not mess around. The place has a good mix of equipment and it's incredibly good value. Best gym in horsham, nothing else compares really. Oh and if you're into community training then they do hyrox here. Not my thing but you can tell the people doing it are really engaged.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely brilliant gym! They have a great variety of equipment and are regularly updating and upgrading with new kit! Dual has really friendly and knowledgeable staff and a good community! PT's are excellent at Dual and offer a wide range of services, I've worked with Dan for a couple of years now and it's been hugely beneficial to my training. Definitely my happy place!!

Fantastic experience: All round great gym. Have been a member since they opened (I want to say that was 2017?) And go a few times a week without fail. Great selection of quality Watson machines which are well maintained and fixed quite quickly when the inevitable happens. Decent selection for both cardio and weights focused training. Can get busy at peak times but where doesnt! Good price,friendly atmosphere, all good.

Positive experience: Pros - friendly staff, cheap membership and a lot of equipment. Cons - most of the equipment is tattered and torn, weights all over the place, and generally dark environment (I understand they’re going for an underground look, but it just doesn’t suit). Nonetheless, these cons are reflected with the low monthly fee. Can’t complain, overall.

Fantastic experience: I have been a member at Dual since 2019 and it’s a big part of my life now. The friendly and helpful team make you feel really welcome. I started with classes and then worked with Dan one of the amazing personal trainers to build confidence to use all the equipment and start lifting weights. Really important for a woman of my age to get strong and stay fit and healthy. There is a real community spirit at this gym and I would be lost without it. I am now into my second year of training with the team for Hyrox events, great fun!

Negative experience: Awful cancellation policy! Gave 3 days notice that I needed membership cancelled and they waited to do so until my membership rolled renewal rolled around again despite multiple emails and a call to chase up. It is stated on T’s & C’s that 7 days notice is required prior to cancellation but ensure if this small print is not read - they will not help if you choose to cancel with any less notice! Unfortunately I cannot recommend the company . The gym does have good equipment - although often things are broken and not attended too in order to be fixed!

Fantastic experience: Excellent gym, it's not a spa resort it's a proper gym, can't believe some of the reviews whining/nitpicking it's very affordable if you want shinny/pretentious surroundings go pay quadruple the membership price or more at some branded chain gym. Your there to train not marvel at your surroundings. All staff are excellent and very welcoming from domestics, reception staff, PTs, physiotherapist and the owner who always greets everyone with a smile and asks how your doing. An abundance of equipment, great atmosphere, would and do highly recommend DUAL FITNESS.

Negative experience: This place continues to go downhill. Absolutely freezing in there, condensation dripping from the roof, heating completely useless, extremely dirty, the floor is white with stains, I don't think it's ever been cleaned. cleaner aimlessly pushing a vacuum cleaner around and wiping down machines but it's like trying to tackle and avalanche with a kids bucket and spade. Two toilet cubicles and one urinal for the men's, not enough, and they stink to high heaven. Three machines out of order. No where to park outside. A lot of the machines look like they need at least a refurb maybe even replacing. Changing rooms like a school gym from the 60s. Lockers tiny, you can't fit a large gym bag in there or a helmet. Overall, this place needs urgent refurbishment and is a waste of your hard earned money

Fantastic experience: My favourite gym around! I have been a member here since it first opened and I was looking for a affordable gym whilst at college. The staff and owners are a lovely bunch and would always have a nice chit chat with matt when he would come through the McDonald's drive through back in the day. Always helpful especially when it comes to pausing memberships etc which is so helpful considering I'm off at uni for atleast 9 months a year. The the equipment is cracking with all kinds of equipment suitable for anyone's needs! so join on up ladies and gents

Positive experience: Changed my 1 star review to 3 star as I felt a bit bad for giving 1. After I had given 1 star I was offered a refund for my day pass (explanation, it should have been free that day anyways as Fridays are free, which I didnt know when I purchased the pass), I havent gotten it yet though. The gym is definitely nothing for someone who is new to the gym or intimidated by weights and machines as it's really not easy to make out which machine is what. Most of the plates on the machines only have numbers 1,2,3,4 etc on it, no actual weight. What does 1 mean? 1kg? Certainly not. 1lbs? No. 10lbs??? Maybe? The gym is very small and the pictures online are very deceiving. I was really excited about the sled and monkey bars but when I got there, the monkey bars are so run down, the paint comes off when you hang on them. As an obstacle course racer I was looking forward to a gym that has some functional equipment but doesn't seem very usable. We were told when we were there it's not busy, yet, the gym was quite packed and it was hard to work out. Not sure how busy looks then and how you're meant to work out there. Few people I know only go for the classes which they say are good but they lift weights at another gym. Definitely not worth the £25 a month for me, would maybe pay £10. Really sad as it's only a 10 minute walk away for me as well :(

Fantastic experience: Just finished the 6 week challenge with Dual. I lost an incredible 16.2kg. I wasn't expecting anything like this much. The overall program is very well thought out and supported. It comprises HIIT sessions (at Dual or at home), a nutrition plan and a support network. The finess team are really knowledgeable and motivating. The classes are tough but fun. Food and recipes are fairly idiot proof. Portion sizes are proportional to your starting weight. The combination of HIIT 3 times a week and this diet are super effective. This is a great program; the support is really good, plan is effective, staff are great and the classes and weigh-ins keep you motivated. If you are on the fence on this, then just do it, you won't regret it.

Fantastic experience: Just completed a 42 day challenge with Dual Strength and Fitness and really enjoyed the experience. The staff are friendly, supportive and look after the individual in their needs and goals. Recommend to those who want to challenge themselves but also meet some lovely people in the community.

Fantastic experience: Completed the 6 week fitness challange and managed to lose 9% body fat with the help of the amazing trainers! They helped every step of the way to keep us all motivated and on track with our fitness goals, would recommend anyone who's looking to change there life and get fit to get in touch, it's hard work but worth it 10 times over!

Fantastic experience: Just completed a 42 day fitness challenge with these guys and it was awesome. Throughout the challenge the team was great with Oly, Jess and Isy providing plenty of support and motivation but done in the right way. The nutrition was easy to follow, the classes were amazing and the people I trained with were great. For once I was in a class in an environment which suited my needs and didn't have to feel self conscious about fitness levels or my weight. Fully recommend this to anybody wanting to make a lifestyle change

Fantastic experience: Just finished my 3 week challenge where I achieved my goal and lost 3.2% body fat! Awesome and encouraging staff with amazing workout sessions and a nutrition plan suited to my body type and also my vegetarian dietary needs. Highly recommend to anyone looking to kickstart a body fat loss or weight loss journey!

Fantastic experience: Very much recommend. The instructors are friendly and supportive, the equipment is easy to use and very varied. I have just finished the 3 week challenge and kick started my weight loss and exercise journey. I worked hard and with the great tuition have managed to lose a massive 8.4kg. Can’t thank the team enough and hope to continue on my journey to a healthier me.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic gym with a great group of trainers. I recently took part in a three week fitness challenge in a bid to get lean. The program itself and the support received from Matt and the trainers was fantastic and the results were everything i'd hoped for. Definitely recommend!

Fantastic experience: Great all-round gym, The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable so if you want help and advice they are great, similarly the gym is well laid out with something for everyone so if you want to keep to yourself and just crack on with your work out you can with no bother. They also offer a great range of supplements including ready made shakes which are very handy after a heavy workout. No contract option too so why not give it try!

Fantastic experience: Really good gym. Very good variety of training machines and weights, and a stretching area. Free parking at the gym or on the road just a few metres away, which is always a plus. Paid monthly or annually but can be cancelled or frozen at any time, so you aren't trapped into long term agreements. It also has vending machines, for those who forget their drinks and snacks. Not a 24h gym but 6am-10pm weekdays and 7am-8pm weekends, which suits me quite well. The owners and PTs are all a great bunch and very helpful. Personal training is also available with any of them. I've also recently joined the classes, which I'm seeing great results already. Definitely worth checking out.

Fantastic experience: Where do I start ... The whole team at DUAL are #AMAZING!! They are all so supportive I could not have made it through the last 3 weeks without them all! I have just done the 21 day pre Christmas shred and have come out fitter than I ever have been. I feel amazing!! The meal plan was easy to follow and the #Facebook group we were in gave us so much support and team spirit. I totally recommend doing it!! The gym is really good, nice and spread out with really good, well made equipment. There is no judgy feeling when you walk into this gym as everyone there is working to the same goal of getting fitter. This gym definitely deserves 5 stars and the team, well they deserve 10 at least!

Fantastic experience: No frills decent gym. Sometimes have to queue to use equipment and a few members are rather abrupt but overall a decent place. Recently got more CV equipment which is great. Staff are fantastic, friendly and very knowledgeable.

Negative experience: The gym was fine, but when I cancelled my membership for me and my partner they charged us anyway. When I called and showed evidence of my cancellation they said there wasn't enough proof because they never received the cancel email. When I showed my phone records to them and browser history to prove I called to cancel and emailed, they said they'd give a half refund. They never gave the half refund, and it should've been a full one. Dissapointed, I had planned on going back when I could afford it again, but now I won't.

Positive experience: Been coming here for a few months now. Really good gym, great kit, some interesting and diverse machines to get stuck into. Only issues are the parking, which is not the gyms fault and it could do with staying open a bit longer in the evenings and especially so at the weekends for people who work those times.

If you're a person who wants to train and achieve your targets, join this place. Parking could be a bit better though so be aware of peak times.

Fantastic experience: Pretty good, friendly staff, good machine, a couple of cardio but main focus is on weights. They have a wide range of weights available never really needed to wait for anything. For the price as well it's great.

If you want to use top of the range equipment and want to get on with your workout without feeling intimidated, surrounded by nice people and staff then Dual Strength is the number 1 choice. They are open all year round too (even Xmas day) to be more inclusive of every type of person who wants to use their gym. Nice one Olly.

Fantastic experience: When ones own council charges £45 per month and no concession for Pensioners (Matt/ The Pavillions in the Park, HDC..ok technically it’s not the council but their building) Who is the more community spirited ?... Answer: DUAL at £19.99 a month it would seem Apparatus Atmosphere politeness always going from strength to strength and for an old fogey like me helping him to stay fit and healthy thus placing less strain on our NHS...
