Fantastic experience: Fantastic local gym open 24 hrs with everything you need for cardio, machines and free weights. My go to place in Essex.

Negative experience: 24 hour opening is great, but hideous trying to train here. Minimal air conditioning during the day and completely switched off by mid evening.

Fantastic experience: Got a day pass to use the gym as was in the area for the day with some time to burn. Lady on reception was extremely welcoming and friendly. Facilities are brilliant with everything you need. Good size mat space with lots of variety in equipment. The value for money in membership compared to the gyms where i live is unreal. If I lived closer I would become a member. Open a gym in Buckinghamshire please

Fantastic experience: I finally found the gym for me. Low cost, 24 hours access every day of the year and not a steroid in sight. Everyone's smiles and generally and around great place to be. Was at Virgin before lockdown, that was heading south for the price, went to ABC afterwards but they weren't worth the money for the hours they were open, nor the facilities they actually have. JD was good for the price but you can't get on the machines you want.no matter the time of day. Elite fitness has all you need and you don't really ever have to wait to get on anything. I don't think I'll be changing gyms when. My Contract is up. Excellent place

Fantastic experience: Elite fitness is one of those gyms, that isn't just a gym. The gym represents everything that is good about the fitness industry and has a real community spirit about it. The PTs are some of the nicest people I've ever met, in the sense that they aren't sales people. They are people people, who are only there to help you achieve your goals. They are always there for questions and will go out of their way to make you feel welcome and valued. All in all I would say if you want a good, honest gym, with genuine trainers and support, with members who say hello and encourage one another, at a price that's less than a date at McDonald's a month (and probably a lot healthier!) Then Elite fitness is the place for you

Fantastic experience: Elite is by far one of the best gyms in the Southend area. There’s a wide range of equipment that varies from free weights to machines. They have knowledgeable coaches/personal trainers who are genuinely passionate about what they do. Marton, Kate, Matt and Joe all specialise in various aspects of fitness, so if you’re someone who is unsure about what to do in the gym, someone can help you! There’s a community here, everyone talks to each other, and the staff are kind and friendly.

Fantastic experience: Previously went in years ago . Went today to meet a friend. Place has made massive changes for the better . 24 hours lots of kit , less cluttered . Higher standards.great selection of personal trainers with different niche personal training services . Well worth a look

Fantastic experience: This is now the best gym in Southend. Fresh new dumbells etc (up to 50kg) great value, open 24/7, new showers, loads of plate loaded machines, lots of parking.

Negative experience: My partner and I love the equipment they have at this gym and the atmosphere BUT it was so unbearably cold that we would find ourselves struggling to workout. Your muscles should be warm when lifting weights so we had to end our membership which is a shame :( Also, I don’t know how the PTs survive…they can’t train people while feeling miserably cold.

Fantastic experience: I don't often write reviews but I've been coming here for about 3 months now and it's been great. Friendly staff, a wide range of personal trainers who are dedicated to helping you achieve you're goals. Plenty of equipment. Sometimes terrible music is played out loud but nothing headphones can't cure. But all in all a great gym and great equipment.

Fantastic experience: Medium size gym in a good location, plenty of parking and a nice price. I've been a member of a couple of gyms that are full of meathead staff/members and chavs. This one though has wonderful staff greeting you every time you come in, the classes are run by similar minded people that creates a great atmosphere. Everyone I've met or spoken to briefly is respectful and polite which makes it a really chilled atmosphere. Suffers from one thing most gyms suffer from due to design and that is if you're doing something that involves laying on your back. Halogen/LED lights will blind you. I appreciate that they are there for top down lighting to compliment the tailored mirrors. Shutting your eyes is an obvious work around. Has a lot of facilities that I want to use. Overall though love the place. Good job!
