The Exercise Lounge

Positive experience: Been here about 6-8 months and they got a big expansion meaning they could also expand the amount of machines they have. This gym is great for beginners and also people who are looking for a more laid back place to workout. I see people of all ages here, having a great time. The staff are all really nice and ready to help with anything you’d need. 10/10

Positive experience: All good. Could do with more ventilation on a hot day. Bring back blue paper to wipe down after using equipment. Very friendly and helpful staff!

Positive experience: Well rounded gym for the price. Sometimes a crowded given it’s a small space. Improvements: - needs better AC as it’s almost unbearably hot in summer

Fantastic experience: I started 3 months ago and decided to have PT Sessions, best money I've spent this year so far. Ash is a great PT. He is very patient, doesn't shout but is encouraging, he knows how to get a little more out of you than you think you have especially when you'rein your 50s! I've learned about my capabilities and how to use different the equipment and my self confidence is growing too!

Fantastic experience: I joined this Wallingford Exercise Lounge to regain some fitness with a trainer, and my trainer Ashleigh has been excellent in that way. Amazingly, I actually look forward to coming twice a week to work out here.

Negative experience: Terrible gym for the price. There is a lack of machines, there’s no machines available if there’s like 10-15 people in the gym. I was made to pay a full month after I ended the membership which is expensive for the state of the gym. So I basically paid a full months membership for nothing which is ridiculous

Negative experience: Be aware that if you move within the year, you won’t be getting a refund. Also be aware that you’ll be still getting emails, messages and calls despite unsubscribing, blocking etc. Relentless, pointless spamming. *Edited* I know I should have read the T&Cs. Who does before you sign a gym membership? That’s why I reviewed, so others would. Your point on unsubscribing is incorrect, it’s gaslighting, and your actions breach UK GDPR.

Fantastic experience: As a new member I have been made so welcome! I'm a woman in her late 50s- I arrived with specific strength goals, and some trepidation! However, from my initial induction , to the personalised program she wrote for me, Danielle has been outstanding! So well informed and able to deliver just what I was looking for. The gym is light and airy, well equipped and, at the hours I have visited so far, never too busy to get a good work out. I appreciate some people may like the anonymity of a larger facility but, for me this gym with its friendly, inclusive atmosphere is perfect! Thanks, Danielle for your support and professionalism.

Fantastic experience: I stumbled across the Exercise Lounge thanks to Facebook. I have joined as a Group PT member and am loving it. Ashleigh knows his stuff, works me hard & keeps each session varied. The sessions are spread throughout the day so you can always find a time to suit. I highly recommend - especially if you are new to training or needing help getting back into it.

Fantastic experience: Spending time at this local gym - recently opened. They’ve done a great job of getting functional equipment in place. This is a gym to come in workout and train and then go. Training sessions offered through the membership are excellent. Highly recommend Ash - both knowledgable and motivational. Definitely recommend you check this out. Easy parking too.

Positive experience: I turned up for my first gym session the second day of opening. Ashley was and still is friendly and helpful, but I felt the gym, which is small, had "things" missing. But they were clearly teething problems because as time has gone on it is fully equipt now for my needs. Also plenty of free parking. Pop in and have a look for yourself

Fantastic experience: Nice new Gym, just what the area needed.. Friendly Staff, good range of equipment. For those who don't like, large corporate gyms, where, you are just a number, this is ideal. Not expensive either

Negative experience: Very Small Gym. Not your everyday Gym with mod-cons as you would expect from a Gym today, but it is cheap here. Would suit people who don't like being around a crowd of people. It not long been open, but it was not my kind of place, so I've given it 2-Stars. Don't be put off by my review I would suggest you go and look and see for yourself. There is plenty of parking available here too, and it's literally outside the place.
