Fantastic experience: Went with a group for a Christmas meal which was excellent and the drinks very good price. Lovely decorated for Christmas.

Positive experience: Squash courts, gym, pool, cafe/bar. Friendly atmosphere, lots of young people during school holidays.

Fantastic experience: Used the family swimming at the weekend and very pleased, lovely friendly staff and the most amazing changing rooms ! Will defo be back !

Positive experience: Pretty good gym (I’ve not used the other facilities), although slightly outdated in my opinion. Some basic amenities lacking on the gym floor, like a water fountain, especially given it’s not the cheapest. Friendly and welcoming nonetheless!

Positive experience: I ha e to say the staff are a very friendly bunch, they are very accommodating, and help you at any point. Nothing feels too much. The people in the classes are so lovely and encouraging. I did step for the first time, and I felt silly not being able to do it, but carried on regardless, 2 or 3 people came to say I did amazing for my first time. It is so encouraging. The pool and sauna/steam room is a bonus

Negative experience: Outdated equipment and facilities. Oversubscribed. No hope in hell of getting a bench or using the equipment desired during peak times. That’s if the equipment doesn’t have an ‘out of order’ sign on it considering none of it’s been updated in the main gym for the last 10 years minimum. Sauna in the ladies changing rooms doesn’t work. No steam in the steam room. If you go on a Saturday or during half term, the gym is actually a crèche. Lovely, friendly place, but not the place to go if you actually want a workout! Ridiculously overpriced.

Fantastic experience: I have just signed up at Martlesham Leisure Club, and so far, really enjoying it. Bonus that there are a lot of class choices (even if tricking to get into last min), and the atmosphere feels really chill and comfortable. It's nice to be able to do a class, use gym, steam room and then grab a coffee and chill. Julianne was so lovely, as she got me all signed in and did a wonderful tour and answered all my questions. Appreciate how friendly and professional she was. I am really enjoying the club, so do recommend to others.

Negative experience: Poor. Facilities not equivalent to the extremely high prices they charge. Gym is very small and the steam room never has any steam in it. Men’s changing rooms resemble a high school changing room in the 80s and haven’t been renovated in years (communal showers?!) They charge 65-75£ a month compared to £35 for Snap fitness, and am seriously thinking about changing. They have got away with the ridiculous prices for years as they’ve been the only game in town and have the squash club.

Fantastic experience: I visit three times per week and have done so for several years using both gym and wet area. Small friendly, local gym, with very active squash section. Bar, food plus sufficient (and clean) changing facilities.

Fantastic experience: The friendliest gym and leisure club you will find in this area - Great staff and great classes - I’ve been a member here for 49 years next May (2023) which says it all really! ‍♂️

Fantastic experience: Recently joined here and it's a really nice leisure centre. It doesn't cost the earth but they have all that you want. Gym, suana, pool, squash, spin! All staff are very nice and there is even a cafe!

Fantastic experience: I wanted to leave a note to say that I have been at a lot of gyms throughout the years, and have NEVER felt more part of a family than at this gym. The dynamic between the current PT’s and the welcoming staff make me want to workout every day. Thank you Martlesham gym!

Fantastic experience: This Lesuire centre is amazing! (why I have done a 5 star review) Gym allows people of 5 or over in, swimming pool is humongous and all of the things like the spa, Jacuzzi and steam room are great!

Positive experience: Pros: free parking, nice eating area, overall lovely facilities. Cons: as much as I like the pool, it is a leisure pool. You cant exactly do laps or go for a proper workout in the pool which is a shame. It's the size of a spa pool, not a fitness pool.

Positive experience: A good independent health club, that started as a squash club. The gym is well maintained, but not too large. The fitness staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I like the indoor swimming pool. The club offer annual and 3-month subscriptions. Good parking.

Fantastic experience: Martlesham heath is an amazing little liesdure centre. I contains 4 squahs courts, a great lounge area (with great cheap cafe food!), a large gym, a 12.5 metre swimming pool and stream room and sauna.

Fantastic experience: Been going to this gym for just over a month and it is the nicest gym I have ever been a member of. The gym facilities are great, and it is never too crowed. I usually go early in the morning and often only a couple of people in there! I have also tried a few different classes and they have all been fab. Especially enjoyed Boxfit with Ivan and Ab & Core Blast with Eve. Haven't tried the pool yet as not a great swimmer but it looks lovely. The club has a lovely atmosphere. Everybody is friendly and respectful of each other. My only criticism is sometimes there are problems with the showers being cold in the mornings, but I understand this is being looked into.
