Negative experience: As many have already mentioned, the gym is small. I cancelled my membership and unfortunately they charged me for about 6 months after this. Apparently, I was told I had to cancel the direct debit myself. I wasn't. And I wasn't given any of the 6 months money back that I didn't use the gym for. Be careful.

Fantastic experience: I have been a member of Urban Fitness for the last 9 years and it’s become like a second home to me. Great machines, space, always clean and fantastic playlist to get you sweating. Love the variety of classes and the friendly staff. So happy to have this gym in my neighbourhood.

Fantastic experience: I've been a member here for almost a year, and it has been an excellent experience overall. The gym is always clean and tidy, which is something I really appreciate. The staff here are friendly and knowledgeable. They're always willing to help out and provide guidance when needed, especially Karan. Also I've taken a few classes here as well, and they've been both challenging and fun. Highly recommend the BodyPump class! This class has significantly improved my fitness level and muscle strength.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been training here for almost 6 months and as someone who is somewhat introverted, I can honesty say Urban Fitness is one of my favourite gyms/third space. The equipment is great and the gym is kept clean, but more than that, I’ve met some wonderful people and made friends/fellow training buddies throughout my time here. The whole Urban Fitness team are wonderful, Karan is one of the funniest and friendliest PTs I’ve had the pleasure of calling a friend, although I train alone most times, I see him work exceptionally well with his clients and providing great knowledge as well as making his clients enjoy their personal training.

Fantastic experience: Great little gym with all the equipment you need including a heavy bag. They provide a variety of bodybuilding attachments such as Versa Gripps, Fat Gripz, lifting belts, hip thrust bands etc so no need to carry a heavy gym bag with you. Although the gym is underground like most gyms in central London, you still get natural light here which is great, doesn’t feel claustrophobic like the rest. Friendly staff and clean facilities. Would recommend.

Fantastic experience: Urban Fitness is amazing - the machines are all really comfortable and the actual atmosphere of the place is very welcoming and peaceful. There are free gym classes that come along with the membership as well as a free guest pass every Friday! You also get an additional x2 free guest passes when you join. All staff members have been helpful and friendly, would definitely recommend this gym to anyone living in the area:)

Negative experience: AC never works, sinks in gents always blocking up, weights left on machines constantly. Wouldn’t call this a serious lifters gym. Will not renew my membership and go elsewhere.

Negative experience: When I signed up, I received clear instructions to "cancel the direct debit" as I was transitioning from another gym. Consequently, despite not using the gym here for the past few weeks, I canceled the DD just before the month ended. However, afterward, I started receiving threatening emails stating my account was in arrears. Upon calling them, I explained that I followed the instructions given by the Portuguese man I spoke with when joining. Despite my explanation, they were hesitant to believe me, focusing on hearsay rather than facts. I reiterated that I haven't visited the gym in weeks and don't plan to do so. Despite their reluctance, they were eager to process the monthly payment. Initially, I considered paying and leaving it at that. However, upon reflecting on the specific instruction provided by the individual during my enrollment – "cancel the DD will do" – I decided not to pay the remaining balance. Given my lack of recent gym usage and adherence to the initial instructions, I don't owe anything for the current month. Regarding the gym facilities, I concur with others' feedback. The music is excessively loud, and the cardio and machine equipment for both lower and upper body are outdated and in need of an upgrade. Additionally, the temperature is uncomfortably warm, and there seems to be a lack of ventilation in the basement area. For reference, I can provide membership number upon request. In response to Bruno: Actually, mate, it was you who advised me to "cancel the direct debit" and that “will do” when I joined the gym. I did pay for the current month, but technically, I shouldn't have, considering I followed your instructions.

Fantastic experience: Excellent customer care specially the one-line purchase team. Very responsive and customer driven. Definitely will use them again.

Negative experience: EXTREMELY loud music, but the gym and the staff are all good. Management must be instructing the staff to set up the loud, damaging music, so that users leave as soon as possible. It's the only logical explanation, as 100% of the users already bring their own music (or prefer silence).

No faffing around, it’s not a fashion show (like some gyms I used to go to) and everybody minds their own business. Even when the gym is at its busiest, there’s always equipment available to use. I would highly recommend this gym to anyone in the Aldgate area.

Fantastic experience: I've had an overall positive experience during my time as a member. My PT sessions were truly beneficial, and I found the trainers to have been very knowledgeable and supportive. Also, I was pleased to find that the gym was never overly crowded, allowing for an enjoyable workout experience. Overall, the atmosphere at the club was always welcoming, which made it especially comfortable for someone like me who was starting out.

Fantastic experience: This place is pure magic! It's where I train my mediocre powerlifting skills without any of those judgmental glares. I've even achieved some prosaic personal records here - nothing too flashy, just some good ol' fashioned gains. But most importantly, this place is my zen zone. Whenever I walk through those doors, the stress and chaos of the world just melt away. It's a sanctuary of strength and serenity.

Fantastic experience: I joined this gym about 2 months ago and I have to say that it was a great decision! The gym is relatively small however it has all the equipment anyone could need for a good workout, and you don't have to wait too long for equipment even at peak times. Also, the gym is well maintained, plenty of cleaning facilities, changing rooms are always clean and staff are always friendly.

Not too crowded (even during peak times), staff are friendly and space is clean. Bonus for free Wifi, and clean bathrooms. Perfect as a month-to-month option with no lock-in contract.

Fantastic experience: By far the best option for a gym in the area and ridiculously good value for money. The gym is clean, well-equipped and very pleasant in aesthetics. There are many cardio options, a nice studio and area for stretches etc. The weights section is well equipped with plenty of dumbells and barbells (never had to wait for a weight to be free) and there is a great variety of resistance machines. All the staff I interacted with are lovely and helpful and I enjoy going here a lot.

Fantastic experience: BEST GYM IN THE AREA. In terms of equipment, they have everything you'll ever need. In terms of cleanliness, the gym is always pristine (with wipe down kits around every corner). In terms of space, it is NEVER too crowded, and you'll never be waiting long for equipment. Lastly, in terms of staff- they are absolutely amazing. They always make you feel comfortable and are always very welcoming and accommodating . Bruno and Georgia are so great, and I love saying hello to them every morning. This gym is WELL WORTH the cost. It's actually much cheaper than many others- with much better equipment, service, and atmosphere than the others in the area. 5/5

Fantastic experience: Really friendly welcoming team who are always on hand to be of assistance in a great environment to exercise and take out those day to day stresses!

Positive experience: A little bit small but clean and the machines are good. I was able to enjoy a few sessions along with a PT session with Izzy before lockdown. Unfortunately I had to freeze my account then, which was possible thanks to the great staff.

Negative experience: Highly disappointed with the administration side of the gym. I have had to pause my membership for travels and now cancel it because moving away and every time it was a hassle (definitely not the easy way they advertise when selling you the membership). Post lockdown they have taken a payment because the gym reopened. I was not aware the payment would come and ask them to reimburse as I have moved and the gym is no longer in my area. They said they have sent an email about it and that as a courtesy they would not charge me next month ...... Well I found the said email and it is literally the last line of a lengthy email. When I contact them about it and said I believe this was very dishonest of them they never got back to me (its been 12 days). Really unprofessional and so not understanding. If I were you I would not sign up there as they are too money oriented.

Fantastic experience: Joined UF over 3.5 yrs ago when moved office to Aldgate, within that time have attended on average 4times a week. The time has been spend doing a mixture of m/cs and classes. The staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly, the place is clean and never overly busy. I would wholeheartedly recommend this club to anyone

Fantastic experience: I used this gym for a 2 year period while working in the area. The gym is affordable at ~£35 a month, very centrally located, and has all the equipment you could possibly need. There are a large amount of cardio and weight resistance machines, as well as a free weights area with around 5 benches and 2 olympic bar stations. They also run a number of classes that come free with the membership, so you can get a lot for your money if you want to.

Fantastic experience: Perfect location, easy to work out in a clean and comfortable environment with nice people around. Good personal trainer like Bruno, helped me to get the best in all the exercises to get fit. Best gym in the area‍♀️‍♂️

It offers different classes and yoga is included in the price. Good location and helpful staff. The changing room is very comfortable and clean. The best option in the area to the one who’s looking for a perfect gym with different classes and a reasonable price.

Fantastic experience: I have been a member of this gym for four years. The staff have always been well-mannered and helpful; the generous opening hours mean that it is easy to go at a convenient time; there is a good range of equipment, including pull-up bars for bodyweight exercises as well as plenty of treadmills and rowing machines. The gym is also very clean. It is only a shame that I am moving house so I no longer live nearby. Keep up the good work!
