Negative experience: For some reason even if you sign up to a 6 month membership, after paying the 6 months, you have to pay an additional month as a cancellation.

Fantastic experience: This is a great gym. The staff are friendly, there’s lots of equipment, everything is clean and in good condition. It’s open 24/7 but only staffed for most of the day. It’s reasonably priced, and after a month you can use any other Anytime branch too. There’s several good in house personal trainers.

The place is very well-equipped and always immaculately clean. The staff are friendly, informative and professional and the community spirit is strong amongst members. The gym is open 24hrs and membership comes with an abundance of additional benefits, including discounts at local and national retail outlets. Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: Gym is very clean and user friendly. Being open 24 hours every day of the year is super convenient, and staff are very friendly and helpful! The gym comes with Free parking, private showers and a sunbed which is another big bonus. Best gym in Stroud in my opinion, would highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Great gym, location and staff. Since Covid they've been 100% professional and helpful. I would take all the negative reviews with a pinch of salt as they were not charging during lockdown. I've trained in all the stroud gyms and I would certainly recommend. Keep up the good work.

Fantastic experience: The reservation system that is currently in place does help to control those who can access it and how many are allowed in at one time. Which I feel also acts as a good incentive for you to go to the gym in the sense you make an appointment and it is easier to stick to it for daily planning. It is always clean in here and there is antibacterial options dotted all over the place ready for use.

Fantastic experience: Love coming here to work-out after a tough day, but I was curious and anxious as to how the whole Covid restrictions would affect my gym life and be viewed by the establishment. I must say, communication was clear and the second I was allowed back in I made sure I was there. Top work from everyone involved.

Negative experience: As others have said, this gym, sadly, has not conducted itself properly during this unprecedented time. I cancelled all my regular, unnecessary payments at the beginning of lockdown as I lost all of my work. Anytime Fitness were immediately on the phone to me, pressing me to reinstate my Direct Debit, assuring me that they would suspend payments from their end and that I did not need to cancel my membership formally. I knew that once we were back to normal I would like to start attending a gym again, so, not wanting to show a lack of loyalty I allowed them to do this. But their eagerness to do so should have been a warning to me. At the first possible moment they started surreptitiously taking payments again, despite the fact that many, including myself, could not even begin to think about attending a gym at this time; especially one with restrictions in place. I did not attend the gym once after they ‘re-opended’ and, surprise surprise, I did not receive any emails reminding me that I was now paying for a gym membership I wasn’t using. Anytime Fitness have refused to refund the payments taken, citing that they are just following their terms and conditions. Luckily for me and for thousands of other people, most other companies and institutions across the UK have been willing to put the welfare of their customers before their own during this time; suspending usual practice and working with people to help them through this challenging time. This is not an ethos that Anytime Fitness believe in, which I find particularly sad as this is a company supposedly dedicated to the health and wellbeing of its customers. If you require any further proof of this, Anytime Fitness are demanding, by regular texts and emails, that I also pay for the following month, since that is the lead time for a membership cancellation! A membership that I was expressly told I wouldn’t need to cancel. You can’t make it up. Anytime Fitness can and probably will offer a technical defense of their actions. I am sure that legally they have done nothing wrong. Once I decided to allow their finance department to take charge over my payments again, I lost all of my rights. But their complete unwillingness to adjust their revenue gathering processes during this global pandemic demonstrates to me that this is far from a customer centric business. This pandemic is a litmus test for individuals and businesses everywhere. Those who think about others before themselves deserve to thrive once all this is over. I wholeheartedly advise you to find an alternative, more ethical and more understanding gym; of which there are many in the Stroud area.

Negative experience: I am unable to use my membership at all due to the changes on booking and opening times. Stroud have refused to help with their staff being threatening and discriminating against me due to my disability.

Negative experience: Facilities are good, but staff are very unprofessional. When I joined the facility I was not informed of any contractual requirement, which the club has tried to enforce even when their facilities were not fully available due to covid practices. I had requested to pause my membership until the facilities returned to normal and this was refused. There are some great gyms in Stroud, so I would recommend looking else where.

Fantastic experience: I have been a member of Anytime Fitness stroudfor over 3 years, well what can I say this is the longest I have been a member of a gym and actually used it. Its in an ideal location perfect access to shops and other amenities. Working in the bus station its perfect for my lunch breaks. The gym isn't the biggest but they utilise the space perfectly with a wide selection of equipment that will suit any gym enthusiast, the equipment is maintained to a high standard and always clean. The staff are an amazing team there always there to listen and to give advice. They treat you like part of the family and makes you feel at home while your there as you can relate on a working week I probably spend more time at gym then home itself lol. Lastly during these difficult times these staff have done no less than an amazing job keeping us safe setting up and maintaining the standards during these difficult times. To ALL the staff at Anytime Fitness stroud THANKYOU.

Fantastic experience: Great gym, great helpful staff. Ask them for anything they'll help. They also do personal trainers. Quite expensive but happy to accept a student discount if that applies. Although not all Anytime Fitness gyms are the same in machinery they sure have a lot. Machines are on the top floor with the bottom floor mainly featuring free wights and the beefy guys.

Amazing virtual class options which means you can try the different classes on offer any time as well as have live instruction. Classes are intimate allowing for individual attention for technique and focus so no where to hide! And no slacking! Great for motivation. Brilliant location. Fantastic experience: Equipment is unreal compare to gyms I have used in the past. They have an equipment guarantee so if anything is broken it gets replaced within 2 days which is good because one of the local gyms in stroud I was waiting 3 months for new equipment to arrive. also this gym you get your own toilet shower and changing room and its private to you. Staff are great and always there to help also.
