The AWARD WINNING Valleys Gymnastics Academy (VGA) provides valuable opportunities for children and young people to develop physical literacy, fundamental movement skills, confidence and social skills through a variety of fun gymnastics classes and physical activities.
Recognised as Social Enterprise, Valleys Gymnastics Academy (VGA) is a not for profit community gymnastics club based across four local authorities in Wales - Caerphilly, Blaenau Gwent, Torfaen and Merthyr Tydfil. Currently the club operates from a number of local authority leisure facilities as well as a fully kitted 10,000 square foot gymnastics facility at Crumlin, and the clubs ‘GO GYM’ facility at Cwmbran Stadium.
VGA offers a wide range of gymnastics disciplines including Artistic Gymnastics (men’s & women’s), Freestyle Gymnastics (free running), Team Gym, General Gymnastics for all ages and Pre-School Gymnastics - all of which are delivered by fully qualified coaches who have a wealth of experience of coaching children and young people.
Through the clubs classes, VGA aims to develop children and young peoples physical literacy so that everyone can be confident and competent in the fundamental movement skills of sport and physical activity. Each of our classes focuses on various fitness components, including coordination, strength, balance, flexibility and aerobic fitness - essential for individuals’ health and wellbeing, as well as future sporting activities!

Fantastic experience: 3 year old daughter goes and really enjoys it. Staff are friendly and welcoming and really support the kids have fun and learn the basics. Decent little cafe onsite as well. Limited parking so either turn up early or park further away. Viewing window gets very busy, you can sometimes view what's happening on the TV screen. Cafe is also very busy as well.

Fantastic experience: Brought my nephew and niece for gymnastics and had the best customer experience in the cafe. Coffee wasn’t to my taste and they were extremely friendly and lovely and made me another no charge just to ensure I had a good experience.
Negative experience: Shady and full of cars from a neihbouring car showroom , if I had my way they wood all get towed from the verges & crushed

Fantastic experience: Great space for children to learn and run free in the open class. Really want to continue with it and then into the structured ones. The cafe upstairs is perfect for parents also☕

Fantastic experience: My son is a member of the academy, they have a large selection of equipment and are very professional, my son loves every session, the viewing area is great but could be bigger, the cafe is great and the staff are friendly, parking can also sometimes be an issue as there are so many gymnasts having lessons.
