Fantastic experience: I’ve recently joined and have found it a very good experience so far, particularly for parents with young children. All the staff are very friendly and the facilities are great.

Negative experience: It's interesting to see the varying membership costs. We were paying £157 each (£6 NHS discount from £163), so over £300 a month for a couple. Expected so much more for the price we were paying and the expectations set on our initial tour. The facilities would have been worth the price had the upkeep had been better. But unfortunately the cleanliness is not great. For example, the spa floor has puddles through out, nobody ever seems to come in and mop the floors; the heated beds are always dirty looking, there's no facilities to wipe them down after someone has been lying on them; the steam room seats feel slimy to touch; there's a dirty ring around the jacuzzis; the outdoor jacuzzi I don't think has been cleaned in months; there are a few outdoor cushions, that lay outside come rain or shine, half on the ground, soaking up puddles. Simply just need a staff member to go round a few times a day to clean and tidy. It's not the standard I'd expect from a premium members club. It's busy all the time and packed with children. Only one cubicle in the changing room, so not great when there are so many girls (and boys), in the women's changing rooms; minus disabled facilities, only 2 toilet cubicles for a huge club that is always busy. It's such a shame because it has great potential as a club, just poor management and poor customer care. We were hounded by calls and emails to join (between us up to 4/5 times a day), and heard nothing after we joined and reported issues.

Positive experience: Signed up to DLRG this week, I was really impressed with how busy it was, the facilities on site and how friendly the staff were. Thank you to Emily for the tour and talking me through the process-. Excellent work.

Fantastic experience: From enquiring through to coming for a tour and since joining Emily has been extremely a attentive, answering all questions and providing and warm and friendly welcome to DL Rouken Glen.

Positive experience: Very efficient and friendly service from Emily. All done and signed up with the minimum of fuss.

Fantastic experience: Great club to be a part of. The spa is lush and adult only which is a massive bonus. The gym equipment is great and has everything you need for a decent workout plus some luxe additions like power plates etc. Emily and Gillian are both super friendly and welcoming around the club. Can be quite busy with families and kids around the restaurant in the early evening so if you prefer peace and quiet then maybe mornings would be more your thing. Would recommend if you like the balance of working out with relaxing afterwards.

Fantastic experience: I recently joined the Rouken Glen club and what a pleasure it has been. If my work schedule allowed, I'd be there every day. Millie was a delight and gave my husband and I a tour. She was patient and friendly and we did not feel under pressure to join. The girls at the desk a friendly and always ready with a smile. I have just signed up for my first Spirit class and am really looking forward to it in such a beautiful gym space.

Fantastic experience: Joined David Lloyd a few weeks ago and I’m absolutely loving it! The staff are all so friendly and made sure I knew what was what and where I was going. At my first Cyclone class Mishan couldn’t have been better. He made sure I knew how the class would run, what to expect, made sure my bike was set up right and continued to check in throughout the class. After your workout being able to relax in the spa, outdoor area and club house is such a treat that you just don’t get anywhere else in the area.

Fantastic experience: I recently joined David Lloyd and had the pleasure of going in for a tour, where I was shown around by Millie. She was fantastic— knowledgeable and enthusiastic! She took the time to explain how everything works at the club and highlighted the various activities available, making me feel welcomed and informed. What really drew me in were the extra activities offered, along with access to the badminton courts. My overall experience has been excellent! The staff are incredibly friendly and always take the time to greet you when you enter and leave the club, which adds a personal touch that makes all the difference.

Fantastic experience: Really enjoying my David Lloyd Rouken Glen experience. From the moment I contacted the gym I received first class treatment. Cara on sales helped me choose a membership that suited my needs and the sign up experience using the app was a smooth process. I had an excellent PT session with Rachel and have loved using the outdoor pool in the warm weather.

Fantastic experience: Recently joined David Lloyd’s in the last few weeks. Every visit I’ve had, I leave feeling refreshed. The facilities are lovely and clean, staff are also really friendly and helpful. I’ve had my first PT session with Rachel who lovely and made me feel at ease!

Fantastic experience: Recently joined and love it so far - I would be there everyday if my schedule allowed! Cara was super helpful in the joining process and even since joining has checked in on my experience and helped with getting my friend the 2 week trial membership! Iv had a couple of PT sessions with Rachel too which have been fun and reminding me what pushing myself in the gym feels like! Getting a platinum membership for the spa access was such a good decision as it is amazing and is my little bit of zen before going home most times I visit!

Fantastic experience: I joined David Lloyd as was fed up with non varied classes. Tbh all the staff are extremely pleasant. Gym will take a bit of getting used to but again, the staff are very helpful. Big shout to the canteen as it is way above your standard fare at cafes. In particular one lass, Natalie , was very pleasant, helpful, very courteous, and great smile and the food is brought to your table

The club offers everything I need – from state-of-the-art equipment to a relaxing spa. I’ve been taking full advantage of the outdoor pool and seating area. Cara made the whole process smooth and welcoming, providing all the information I needed. The atmosphere here is fantastic, and I’m really glad I joined!

Fantastic experience: Had been interested in David Lloyd for a while, but recently decided to look into getting a membership, filled out an enquiry form and heard back pretty quickly when they got in touch. Arranged a tour of the facilities and a chat about what sort of membership id be interested. Met with Cara who took me round the facilities and then had a chat to get set up. Opted for a couples platinum membership after chatting over the options with Cara who was amazing and didn't at any point try the hard sell approach and was happy to listen to what I was looking to get out of the gym. Been a member for a little over a month now and absolutely don't regret it one bit, hitting some goals already and have already noticed a huge change in my fitness. Have been doing some PT sessions and my PT Claire has been amazing, set some realistic goals and has been very motivating and encouraging to help me progress. My other half has been working with Rachel who been excellent and keeping her focussed thanks to her she's really been loving it. The facilities are all great and I've yet to have to wait to use any equipment in the gym. Haven't used the classes yet but already have an eye on the ones I'm interested in and looking forward to seeing how it goes. 100% recommend a membership at Rouken Glen David Lloyd, easily the best gym I've used yet.

Fantastic experience: Great club and good atmosphere. Always get a nice welcome from the girls at the door. The spa area is a great place to spend time. The gym is good for a commercial gym. Plenty of equipment and got a few different areas for different types of exercise.

Friendly and prompt communication back and forth, All facilities look amazing looking forward to joining my son by using his monthly guess pass.

Positive experience: Been in the gym for over a year now with a group of friends it is expensive as it is ,paying 500 odd pounds per month for family of 5 all 5 kids r taking swimming lessons gym itself is great , lifeguards at pool side (male ) are always grumpy complaining where it kind of gets me put off and want to cancel

Positive experience: I've really enjoyed my experience at david Lloyd. Friendly staff, clean facilities and my personal trainer Daniel has been absolutely amazing. My only complaints are the parking situation. Parking is often an issue as spaces are very small, limited and there are not enough child and parent parking spaces. This isn't the fault of the staff and they do as much as they can to deal with people parking between two spaces or taking spaces they aren't entitled to. I would also say that for the price of the gym membership, I would expect more equipment in the actual gym. For example, one leg extension machine simply isn't good enough.

Fantastic experience: This is more than a “gym”, this is a social hub. This is a place you can enjoy when working out and even more so when not. The staff are excellent from Cara at onboarding, James is a great PT, Fiona and Mishan put on great classes too. Atmosphere is friendly and I spend most days here now.

Fantastic experience: I recently joined the club at the start of July and have been loving every aspect so far!! Millie was so helpful and informative in getting me enrolled and answered any questions that I had. The facilities are fantastic and I am loving the added bonus of the spa after a hard workout. The club room is a great place to relax with great food on offer and I have been looked after by all the team , namely MT and the rest of the staff.

Fantastic experience: Recently joined David Lloyd after sending an enquiry, the day after i was phoned by the sales team and given all the information. I then arranged a tour with Millie who was very knowledgeable, did not pressure me in to any particular membership. She gave me all of the information, and i made the decision suited to me. She gave my specific information to me as in specifics about what a 2 year old can do and use which was great. All of the facilities are top notch! Everything is very clean and well maintained. I have joined with my 2 year old so have taken advantage of the baby pool which is lovely and warm (warmer than any other baby pool I've been in). Have also used the buggy fit class with Fiona which was brilliant!! Great level of challenge in that class, much better than some of the 'buggy fit' classes I've been to that are basically a walk and a chat. This is more focused on fitness which is fab, my little boy had space to move about and I wasn't anxious about him disrupting the class. Thank you all.

Fantastic experience: I joined the club at the start of the year with my two kids and have enjoyed the facilities every week since becoming a member. The activities available for the kids throughout the summer are fantastic and will keep us busy. All the staff are helpful and attentive, the girls at reception are always welcoming and the housekeeping staff never pass you without saying hello! I couldn’t recommend the club enough to anyone thinking about joining.

Fantastic experience: I've recently joined David Lloyds, I had a great tour with Cara and she took the time to explain everything about the service. She sat with me to help me set my account up as I got the Corporate Platinum membership. She even took the time to explain things that I thought I wouldn't enjoy like tennis but once she explained it my mind opened up towards it. She's was very knowledge and professional. I also was able to use the joining fee towards three sessions of either personal training or sports therapy. I booked Bryan for a sports massage and he was excellent. I have had issues with back pain for a long while and he really helped me take the steps to help reduce my back pain. The girls at reception are fab. I've really enjoyed the service and felt taken care of. There is another girls with glasses and I can't seem to remember her name but she's so wonderful and always so polite. Overall I am the happiest I've been in a long time. David Lloyds has given me a push to changing my lifestyle for the better and improved quality of my life. I would recommend it to everyone!!

We have utilised the full package and love the Spa after our workouts. The classes are great and can’t wait to get into my gym programme with Rachel. Took time to show me around the gym and demonstrated the equipment that he thought would be beneficial for my requirements and recommended a gym class to try. Booked in my second session .

Fantastic experience: I recently joined David Lloyds at Rouken Glen and so far my experience has been fantastic. The facilities are great and the classes have also been really enjoyable. All the staff are really friendly and helpful but a special mention goes to Cara who showed me around the centre and explained everything diligently. I also wanted to add a mention to Emily who has been really helpful in arranging my Kickstart sessions.

Negative experience: I was really surprised at the service here as I had high expectations, particularly given the price to join I booked a tour where I could try out the facilities. I arrived 5 minutes early and was told someone would come and meet me in the club room and show me around. I waited for close to an hour before I had to go and ask if anyone was still coming and they seemed confused that no one had come to meet me. Eventually a member of staff came out to meet me but I only had 25 minutes left to view the facilities as I had (which i I made clear on the phone when I booked the tour) a meeting directly after which I could not miss. The member of staff asked if I just wanted to try the facilities so i went for a quick swim. The pool was very busy with children and noisy and not a calm environment to exercise in. I was not able to view the spa facilities which were one of the main draws for me. I asked when I was talking to the member of staff if someone would be in touch with me to discuss joining and he said yes but no one ever has. Really poor service as I was ready to sign up and probably would have if I hadn’t been treated so poorly

Fantastic experience: We have recently joined as a family of six. We are all having the best time. The kids absolutely loves all the clubs. The staff are really friendly and so good with the kids. Great facilities especially the the spa and outdoor pool. Staff are so accommodating. Overall a really great place. We feel it has been really good value for money as we are not spending so much on external clubs for the kids

Fantastic experience: I have just joined after having a fab tour of the facilities with Emily, she was so helpful in the set up process and with any questions I had. Looking forward to the free PT and sports massage sessions. The facilities are great and so clean. I also like that towels and hairdryers are provided. Lots of classes available and I'm looking forward to making the most out of my membership!

On-boarding was a straight-forward process thanks to Emily who gave a great tour of what the club offers and helped me get signed up to the system. Highly recommend the Rouken Glen club for both exercise and leisure.

Fantastic experience: Just joined as a new member and am very pleased with the facilities - the outdoor pool is a real draw, especially with the nice weather. I had a great introductory tour from Cara on the Sales Team when I was considering joining. She was friendly and helpful, answering all my questions. She struck the balance well between encouraging a potential new member and giving them time to consider, phoning back as we agreed but without ever being pushy. All in all, a fantastic first few weeks.

Millie was a real help for this novice from start to finish , providing all the info I needed to get the most from the club . Millie gave us the tour and she was great.Explained everything and represented the Company in a truly five star professional manner. I have now had my first session with Simon who put me through my paces and I can recommend him highly.I have worked in a professional sports environment so I know he is good.A great Club with great people which makes it stand out in a busy market.

Fantastic experience: Joined last week and so far delighted with the club. A really lovely atmosphere, classy and very clean. The facilities feel high end in comparison to most gyms and it definitely feels like a club rather than just a gym. The pool is perfect found myself on my own at one point, bliss! Loved the steam room area and the jacuzzi/hot beds are perfect. Felt like I was in a spa. The outside area looks fantastic and I can’t wait to spend time out there now that the weather is heating up. The staff are really helpful. Millie gave us the tour of all the facilities. She was knowledgable and encouraging, asking us the right questions to find the best fit for our needs. She listened to what we might need from the club as individuals and as a couple. Delighted the golf course is included. We really look forward to using all the different facilities the club has to offer. The menu is varied and we had a great lunch. The restaurant staff were polite, attentive, and well trained. It was easy to download the app. And I’m sure I will enjoy my first of three training session which comes with the platinum membership. I doubt I will use the spin classes or many of the weights but it ticks the box for my husband who really enjoyed his first session with the trainer although finding it hard to walk without groaning today ! The changing area is big and is cleaned to a high standard. I think it will be a perfect fit for my needs

Fantastic experience: I just joined here, with a membership which allows me to use the spa garden and other clubs like nearby Renfrew. Cara was the staff member who patiently answered all my questions- joining here is definitely an investment as it costs a lot more than other gyms. They have much more unusual classes than other places and an amazing outdoor pool & spa, they also have a club atmosphere with members events and people can also bring their kids. I like that my membership includes a guest pass a month.. spa day beckons! You can use the studios when classes are not on, and they have an outdoor “battle box” CrossFit/ strength and conditioning section. Themed events take place like the current “festival of tennis”; I initially hadn’t planned on playing tennis at all but they give you taster sessions & beginners short courses included in the membership (and you can borrow rackets & balls) so it’s a great way to try things out, especially if (like me) you haven’t played tennis since half heartedly being taught it at school and your main experience of tennis is watching Wimbledon I plan to try padel, they have a few new courts for this. You can pay extra for swim lessons, golf lessons, personal racket coaching & PT, though you get 3 free PT sessions when joining as well. The quiet room (business hub) is great, and the main cafe is lively and even has book clubs/ quiz nights, with funky outdoor seating too. Elemis toiletries in the changing rooms and GHD straighteners/ hair dryers alongside a free towel to use every time you visit make it all feel very posh and premium. The booking app is so easy to use, and I like that it gives you virtual badges when you go too. Overall, a fabulous experience.

Fantastic experience: Joined a couple of weeks ago as a family. Emily in the sales team was very helpful with some queries I had before signing up. The club has a nice feel and the family are all enjoying the facilities so I’m happy we went ahead with it.

Fantastic experience: I joined DL 4 weeks ago after recommendations from a few friends. I was unsure as I knew it was expensive but within a few weeks I've definitely had my moneys worth! My daughter and I have spent so much quality time together and I have managed to catch up with so many friends! So not only is my physical health improving, it's been great for my overall wellbeing. The staff have been exceptional. Always a lovely greeting from reception, the staff in the cafe are always helpful and welcoming. Craig the sales manager was very helpful and knowledgeable when I was signing up. There was absolutely no pressure. I was feeling apprehensive as I hadn't stepped foot in a gym for years but I have been put at ease by all staff. Dance fit by jackie - absolutely love this class. So much fun! Jackie is always fantastic and also there is no pressure at all if struggling to keep up. You just go at your own pace. Spirit by kirsty- kirsty is a joy!! Always makes you feel so welcome. I stay for the sound bath which is an amazing experience. Always leave feeling positive and uplifted. Personal trainer fiona - when you sign up you get 3 free PT sessions. Fiona put me at ease straight away as I have no gym confidence but within minutes i felt my mindset changing to can do approach! My daughter has been to so many clubs too. Action squad, archery, karate, swimming and with the sun coming out last weekend we spent the whole day there at the outdoor pool.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic range of facilities and membership options. Classes, PT sessions etc are really easy to book online. When Emily signed me up she helped me set up my card and the ap on my phone - she delivered outstanding customer service with professionalism and was so friendly and helpful.

Fantastic experience: Having joined in the last few days , I have been very impressed by the staff, facilities and surroundings. I’ve been made to feel very welcome and I’m looking forward to starting lots of new activities. Millie was extremely helpful in explaining everything to me and provided a first class tour of the whole complex. I’ve already had my first session with Jack K personal trainer and I’m looking forward to the next two sessions. State of the art facilities and a friendly environment.
