Fantastic experience: The epitomy of an old school gym, with a great atmosphere, great people and all the things you might need from bodybuilding to strongman. Plus the added bonus of Better Bodies Massage to aid recovery. The staff are all so friendly and welcoming so I love going on a weekly basis

Fantastic experience: I went to the gym for the first time Hasham and Aisha were great they explained how to use all the equipment and helped me out during my session. I have since returned back and I feel a lot more confident would 100% recommend as they adapt to your needs and are very approachable great gym for an excellent price!

Fantastic experience: Been there for many years now. Since day one the gyms aim was to bring a unique experience for each and every customer! This is place for good work outs it’s another fitness club packed with people full of themselves. Try it yourself! P.S. don’t get fooled by some low life’s trying to troll the owners of the gym with some silly childish reviews LET THE GAINS BEGIN!

Negative experience: I’ll be very careful before anyone tries to join this gym. You’re paying premium prices for damaged machines which snap whilst exercising. No heating or any sense of comfort. All the machines are broken and damaged. Your asked to pay £26 a month for practically nothing when compared to other gyms which are better and cheaper. Above all the customer service is appalling. Someone stole my AirPods and instead of helping me check cctv. The gym owner started lashing out. Maybe it’s all the steroids they use getting to them. However for anyone reading this I’d advise don’t waste your time and money and if you don’t believe me. Come see for yourself. I rest my case. After being here for a year nearly and the way they treated me in a time of help having my property stolen on house. There conduct was pathetic to the point police was called. God knows best and see’s all. I’d advise reading all the reviews left by people complaining about the same thing I have. Don’t be fooled by customers who see things at face favour. I quote another review. ‘Better bodies. More like better of elsewhere’ pathetic gym. Pathetic service. Premium price for getting injuries. Thank god I’m done with this run down excuse of a business.
Thank you for your review Mobashir. In regards to your comments- The gym membership is £24 monthly in the mixed gym and there are no damaged or broken machines in both gyms. We have one treadmill for sale in the mixed gym and one for sale in the womens and so they are out of use. After you've been training with us since 2017 it would seem unlikely that you'd be using anything that was broken or damaged for 7 years. We would not have heating on unless requested by customers as this is a non-commercial, family run dry gym and when you train hard you don't need a heater on when training in a vest or tshirt! The customer service you have received has been tremendous until you became aggressive and disrespectful to not only the owner but also the owners father and other gym members. You came in to the gym, signed in, took out your ear pods, placed the cover in your bag, put your bag next to the Atlas stones and then walked away to train (we have lockers you don't use). You then accused 4 gym members of theft, threatened to se*ually assault one of the members mothers who you have never met before (when he refused to admit to stealing your £300 case) You went out to the customer's vehicle threatening them with violence and other despicable acts and when proven wrong by the cctv footage, as shown by the owner and later by the police, you didn't like being told you were in the wrong and that this behaviour was unacceptable. You proceeded to shout, raising your hands and acting violently towards the owner and stating that you will not leave and 'where are your boys now', etc. You advised us you will be calling the police and this was welcomed! The police came after we removed your belongings from the building and you waited outside for nearly an hour. The police took witness statements and recorded the cctv footage showing you were in the wrong and that this supposed theft had not taken place, you were the aggressor and that your attitude was unacceptable which resulted in wasting police time and also our time. Religion has nothing to do with your awful behaviour, nor your opinion on other people. We hope you find another establishment, with the refund you were provided, that welcomes your awful customer values as you are definitely not welcome with us.

Fantastic experience: Hashim and his daughters run an exceptional gym! They’re knowledgeable, encouraging, and truly invested in their clients’ success and also they have a separate women’s training zone, ensuring everyone feels comfortable and empowered to reach their fitness goals. Fantastic experience: Most friendly gym you’ll find in Blackburn and probably in Lancashire. Stuff is always there to help you and give you good advice when they see you struggle. The atmosphere in this gym is completely different than in other places… everyone comes here to work on themselves. You’ll definitely make friend in here too!

Fantastic experience: Great old school gym! Was well pleased when I found this I popped in beforehand to check it out and was greeted with a warm welcome and was shown around. Staff will go out their way to help you and advise you if yo have any questions, place is absolutely spotless coming from a Cleaning business not many gyms are these days. I hate the busyness off chain gyms this is just perfect for what I was looking for good prices and never stupidly busy. A good gym and experience all round keep up the hard work your smashing it

Negative experience: Machines crammed together, benches have loose backs that flap around like a fish out of water, floor has duct tape all over it, machines appear to have been pulled out from a builders skip, most cardio equipment doesn't work, cables are frayed and ready to snap, cable machine accessories appear to be from the neanderthal era. Has a bad odour around the place, noticed a fire exit was obstructed. No shower facility here, changing room is like my grandma's cupboard, never saw any lockers either. Toilet flush doesn't work so you have to constantly push the lever to get it to work. Customer service non existent. Staff look like they just crawled out of bed and have lost the will to live. The woman at the desk looked miserable and instantly put me off training, i had to take a extra pre work out dose just so i could look at her miserable face and break the spell she cast on me. The elderly fella was nice, bit of a philosopher that waffled on, the pre workout wore off and i was ready to hit the bed thanks to the history lesson from grandad. They definitely don't care about the well-being of their customers nor the premises otherwise they would have put some effort in sorting the equipment out and reinvest in their business. Would also be nice if they dressed smart, they reminded me of characters from a zombie film. Poor value for the money if compared to other gyms in the area who offer more for £1 extra. Place is a death trap at £24 a month, glad i was there for only a week. Better bodies? More like Better of elsewhere!
Hi, thanks for your review! In reply to your comments- - Yes we have a wide range of equipment ranging from free weights to cardio machines which are all in working order with no frayed cables (nor from a builders skip!) and one treadmill which is out of use as it is for sale. We try and manage the limited space we have over the two floors which we have and utilise well but thank you for your opinion on the spacing which we'll take on board and try and shuffle a few areas around in the future if need be. - We have over 40 attachments which range from being custom made to branded pieces of kit for the cable machines. If you wanted to use your own new equipment/attachments then maybe a commercial gym would be more suited to your needs? - We have ventilation and air fresheners within the gym as well as deodorants which we sell for those who might need a little refresh after coming in from work, etc. No fire exits are obstructed with clear signs on them to keep clear. - Yes we are a dry gym with no shower facilities. We originally had brand new shower facilities installed however we had to close them after 24 months and will not be reinstating their usage. - Yes we have a small changing room which has lockers in the room which are bright green and lockable with your own padlocks or any which we sell :) The toilet flush works perfectly and takes a few seconds between flushes to refill with water for the next person to use it. We apologise that the customer service you received was as awful as it sounds and hopefully next time you enter any gym premises you meet young, lively, ''well-dressed'', exciting and silent staff. Hopefully the way that the staff looked, dressed and sounded didn't affect the training sessions you had after the first day of training during your week membership. We can't seem to find any new gym members who joined for the week in the past two months and so if you would like to send us any further details regarding your feedback or membership experience (date or time of sessions) then please email us at [email protected] and we will happy to assist you. Thanks again for your opinion on the gym and what we care/don't care about and the insight into what you thought of the staff as it was clearly a personal issue you must have had with them. We are a small family run, award winning business with two gyms in the building, no wet facilities, free parking for gym members, sunshower facilities and an in-house sports injury rehab option for those who want to get assistance from a world record holding powerlifter to aid in their recovery. We are priced fairly for the amount which we offer as a non-commercial gym but understand that everybody has their likes and dislikes. Hopefully wherever you currently train and train in the future is to your personal standard and you attain the goals you want to achieve :)

Fantastic experience: So welcoming, first time coming to this gym after hearing good things about it. Great equipment , they had everything from good dubmbells,barbells , machines that are very rare for performance for athletes and even had strong man equipment! id recommend it a thousand times.

Women’s only gym is huge, more machines than any other in the north west and definitely the cheapest around. One to ones are always on point with the girls

Fantastic experience: This is such a welcoming, friendly gym with incredible gym staff that are always willing to help. I am always greeted warmly when I walk in. Great to know that both men and woman can train here and that if you want some privacy i can train in the woman’s area even though they have created a non judgmental gym environment no matter which part I choose to train. Lovely to be in the gym knowing that the girls are fully qualified from level 2, level 3, level 4 pt and nutrition support alongside sports injury rehab and soon to be GP referring!

Fantastic experience: I pulled up at the gym in a taxi as the heavens opened up. Feeling a little unsure whether this was the place I was supposed to meet my brother, I approached the entrance. Moments later, I was greeted by a bodybuilder with a very amiable and pleasant demeanor who turned out to be the owner. He invited me inside and out of the rain. We began chatting as if we already knew one another. Courteously, I was inducted into the gym and presented with a large array of equipment. Having entirely trained at home, I homed in on the equipment I was used to. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the unfamiliar items which allowed me to challenge myself in way that I couldn't at home. The gym was quiet when I got inside and remained so. The few people I encountered were polite and cordial., giving the gym a warm atmosphere. I can certainly envision myself going back in the near future!

Fantastic experience: Great gym, friendly staff, and an impressive range of equipment. I was just in town for work, so bought a day pass, but if I lived locally I would definitely sign up. They have all sorts of strongman kit, nice machines, and even some rare pieces of equipment like belt squat and reverse hyper. Will definitely be back if I’m in the area again.

Fantastic experience: Really great gym, very friendly and welcoming staff and loads of good equipment to suit body building, strong man, powerlifting and cardio! Old school equipment which is a rare find! Very clean too and separate facilities for women if you wanted to train separate. Prices are really affordable and they also offer massages with a qualified therapist, and also a range of supplements and products. Definitely worth it! Much nicer atmosphere than commercial gyms! We really enjoy training here!

Negative experience: Place need renovation n cleaning. Machines r ill-maintained n some r broken. No disinfectant spray available to clean machines after use. Girl at the reception has bad attitude who done some what weight lifting in the past.

Fantastic experience: This is an excellent gym. Current doing PT sessions to get to my goal and within the 2 months i have been i have noticed a substantial difference. Very friendly and they make it very enjoyable which you don't get from other gyms 2 Month Update - Still continuing my PT sessions and have to say have noticed a substantial difference. Fantastic experience: Great place hashim great personal trainer . Great family running gym I've reached a goal of being 18stone and know I'm 13.4 stone .roughly 87.5 kilo. Thanks to jamila for her diet plan And hashim for personal trainer. Top gym recommend to any one who wants a friendly family run gym and great people who train there. Seperate men's section /separate women's section. I would give gym 200 star rating.
