Fantastic experience: Needed somewhere to train on my work trip, 8 weeks out from competition. This gym fit the bill perfectly with plenty of powerlifting gear and lots of decent machines. Proper warehouse gym.

Fantastic experience: The most inclusive gym I've ever been to and I've trained at a fair few. You cannot beat a good atmosphere and prime delivers just this. On the days where I just don't want to train I turn up because without a doubt I'll leave with a smile on my face. 100% recommend trying it out for yourself.... What have you got to lose?

Fantastic experience: Staff here are amazing, welcoming and friendly I have been coming here for 3 years now and have never felt at home. My girlfriend, she would never go anywheee on her own. But feels so comfortable here the community at the gym has supported her confidence. Could not recommend enough, best gym around

Fantastic experience: This is one of those very rare finds of a gym, where there are no egos or influencers. Instead, there are people who encourage and motivate you to be your absolute best by providing an environment that is wholly underpinned by a strong work ethic and zero tolerance for any nonsense or toxicity. 5 The staff are outstanding, supportive and knowledgeable, and one aspect I really love is that everyone supports each other regardless of age or ability. Additionally, kids train for free with an adult. That just doesn't happen anywhere else, this is such a huge benefit and provides positive role models for kids. 5 My lifting has hugely improved since I started training with Aaron, and now I can't imagine my life without this gym amd these people. Everything about my health and strength has improved since walking through the doors at Prime. LOVE ❤️

Fantastic experience: Amazing gym and the only gym I know of that encourages and supports families with young children to come along! We struggle to find child care so being able to bring our kids along to join in helps so much. Our kids love to workout too and everyone is so understanding of them and never make them feel like they are in the way so they feel like they belong! Staff are always really friendly too. Amazing family vibes always

Fantastic experience: I've been going to Prime regularly for the last 4 months. All of the staff I've met are very helpful (Aaron, Elaine, Flyn, Katie) and there's a wide variety of equipment to use. Aaron has helped me work through a long-standing (3 year old) injury that left my doctor stumped. I'm now able to train again after years of not being able to. There's also just a really good vibe and I've yet to meet an unhelpful gym-goer. Everyone I've met at the gym has been really friendly and open to offering advice and support if needed. They stock a large range of energy drinks, pre-workout, and flapjacks at the counter. They can also make a ton of different flavoured protein shakes for you. All of which is very helpful and convenient post workout.

Fantastic experience: Stayed in Seaview park while visiting whistable last week and was eager to have a couple of workouts while away. This place did not dissapoint. Very warm welcome from Elaine who explained the choices available. Over the week i visited twice and thoroughly enjoyed them both. They are more focuseed on strength training than cardio but that is what i wanted. Best bit was my boys wanted to join me and they could attend for ZERO CHARGE which is a brilliant incentive to the youngsters into fitness. So i CANNOT RECOMMEND this place ENOUGH! . Good choice of equipment, great warm welcome (by staff and other gym users) and fabulous prices.

Fantastic experience: Great gym. Good combination of powerlifting strength and crossfit. With many options of equipment and safety bar squat and also pre and post workout drinks went here while working away. Wish there was a gym like this by where I live!

Negative experience: The gym is pretty good, but they terminated my membership through Instagram messenger on alleged claims of inappropriate behaviour towards females with no proof, and ignored my protest when I replied seeking clarification and self defense. I have nothing to hide and would happily leave without issue if these allegations were proven to be true.

Fantastic experience: Joined Prime about a month ago after training at all the commercial chain gyms in the area and a few others, with all of them failing to impress. I knew Prime was the right place for me on day 1. Friendly welcoming atmosphere with everyone stopping to say hello and offer advice and encouragement if needed. Brilliant staff and range of equipment.

Negative experience: Really dirty and smelly. Raised my concerns to management who were rude and dismissive.

Negative experience: Unprofessional and childish staff members. Were rude and condescending to members. When the member said it was poor behaviour, told them to f off and go to Pure Gym instead. I will be.

Fantastic experience: This is a fantastic gym equipped with the highest quality equipment. There are no “space fillers” like most gyms have. Each piece is hand picked for a specific purpose. The owner is extremely welcoming and has knowledge that surpasses any big name in the fitness industry. He’s always willing to give help to those that will listen. I own a similar gym in the States and have trained at pretty much every well known gym. If I lived within one hour of the gym this is where i would always train. Don’t judge a gym by its size or by flashy add campaigns. A gym is a reflection of its owner and the members that train there. If you’re wanting to go to a gym to become physically better this is the gym for you!

Fantastic experience: Amazing. I cannot recommend this gym more. I signed up to his gym with my fiance stating I would do a month to help her get started that was 4 months ago. Every experience I'd had with gyms before put me off. However, the people who own the gym, work in the gym and attend the gym make it the most welcoming place to attend. After my first day with Aaron (the muscle coach) showing me the ropes and continues to do so I was hooked. I throughly enjoy both the physical equipment available and the social environment. I have never felt unwelcome or as though I am being judged. This is not your normal impersonal I want your money gym. The guys in here all offer help assistance and support. Matt the owner is also a great guy. Always welcoming and a fountain of knowledge on both gym related and just genral knowledge. I also think that a huge reflection on this gym is how much respect the guys who work here have for Matt the owner and how they talk about his support for them and how they feel valued and that shines through and has a positive effect on all those who come in. The ethos appears to be work hard because that's why we go to the gym but also respect each other so that it's enjoyable at the same time for everyone regardless of ability. I houenslty think you have to attend to see just how much of a rare gem this place is.

Fantastic experience: One training it was enough for let me fall in love of this gym!!! A lot of position for make powerlifting bodybuilding and training without the fear of don't find the weight!! But the best is the boss of the gym, very friendly and people that was training that let help you for everything!!! Feeling at home, really!!! When I come back to Italy I'll have a beautiful remember of the Prime Gym!!

Fantastic experience: I use this as a 'pay as you go' whenever I'm in the area. Prime Performance has very professional & friendly staff (Matt) with some very impressive equipment. Ranging from Bodybuilding to CrossFit to Powerlifting to Strongman equipment. This gym has a lot to offer, which I would highly recommend. Even as a non-member I always feel very welcomed and always leave having done a great workout.

Fantastic experience: By far the best gym iv ever trained in. The equipment available is top, but even better than that is the wealth of knowledge that the owners and staff have, and are more than happy to share. With their help, iv gained 3 stone of muscle in 7 months and they constantly provide more advice on how to improve. Iv trained at most gyms in the local area and none of them come close to prime performance. If you want results, this is the gym for it

Fantastic experience: This is a fantastic gym I had been to other gyms and didn't feel like an individual just another customer. But the staff here are always there to help and very welcoming. With there help I went from a novice lifter to really making the most from my training with there expert advice. What also got me when I was looking for a gym most wanting £40 or £50 just for me to be a member but not prime performance no fees to join or to tie you down just pay and enjoy your training like it should be.

Fantastic experience: The best gym I have been to in 30 years. Why? The owner Matt and his team have created a unique atmosphere and ethos. All ages and abilities are welcome. There's abundant equipment for most types of training with the emphasis on positive health engaging weight training. Matt had great expertise in all aspects of training, physical and mental. I have seen people in their 60s and their 70s get stronger, fitter and happier. Don't take my word for it. Try it for 6 months and see where you get to. Dave

Fantastic experience: Fantastic gym! Friendly and very knowledgeable staff who have helped me with my back problems, strength and overall fitness. My physical day job has become so much easier to cope with after just 5 months. Being a total beginner I was a little nervous when I first started. I had absolutely no reason to be as I was instantly welcomed and made to feel at home. It has been like that ever since. Great atmosphere and a wide spectrum of age groups so everyone is catered for. The place is packed with equipment much of it I have not used yet but am adding things gradually. if you are or have thought about joining a gym but need the extra push to get your backside down to one, try Prime Performance Gym as you will not be disappointed.

Been training there for just under a year now and from the knowledge of the staff there they helped me gain a pro card in my mens physique competition. There is no ego at this gym whats so ever everybody is friendly an very helpful. Looking for a great place to train then this is a gym for you!!

Fantastic experience: This is what I term, a "proper" gym. The kind of gym you go into and find that function is the priority. All too often, you go into modern gyms and find that equipment is there to fit the aesthetics of the facility... not at Prime Performance - every piece of kit that's in this gym has a valuable use. You will find everything from lifting platforms and racks, to a functional rig with climbing rope, to plyometric boxes, resistance machines, a specialist Viking press, an array of bar types and attachments, to the cardio equipment you'd expect to find in most facilities. There are even a number of "grip training" challenges running for members and visitors alike to take part in! It was also refreshing to see a good range of reasonably priced pre, intra, and post workout supplements available... Very helpful when you're visiting! In short, whatever your training needs, Prime Performance has them covered, and then some! What also struck me about this gym, was the environment. The owner (who took a great deal of time out to welcome me and talk to me) clearly has an extensive knowledge base, and a passion to match it. A passion for helping people achieve their goals. There was a real community within the gym, with a wide spectrum of ages and training goals, but with one thing in common... everyone was there training, and aiming to progress. The owner had explained that this is why he bought a gym, he was tired of the big chain gyms that lack community, lack a willingness to invest time and effort into the members... what was abundantly obvious, was that he genuinely cares about his members making progress, reaching their goals, and enjoying themselves along the way. Something all of his staff were very obviously on board with! From someone that has lifted for a great number of years, I can hand on heart say, it was a real pleasure to get my sessions done at Prime Performance. Thank you to all the staff, but especially the owner. I will be sure to return next time I'm down that way!

Fantastic experience: A great gym recently refurbished with modern and classic equipment. Great atmosphere and training vibe with lots of motivated people! I liked the fact I could get a spot at any time and the help and advice from the friendly staff. Would recommend the place strongly as the place to go if you are serious about lifting or interested in learning how!

Fantastic experience: Certainly not your average gym! This is a fabulously equipped place where people can learn to lift properly and effectively, and those that lift competitively or partake in other sports can find the tools and guidance to fulfil their potential. On top of all the usual fixtures and fittings of a modern gym, Prime also has Deadlift platforms, complete with Ivanko bars and bumper plates, IPF Spec bench, A Crossfit rig, Viking Press, Heavy Dumbbells and many specialist bars, and other great bits of equipment. right down to some interesting grip toys to test your grip. A great crowd train here too, and there are some amazing inspirations here, and surprisingly few egos. Well worth a look if you are looking to knock your training up a notch or two, or just looking for somewhere nice and friendly to start out and get the best possible results.
