Snap Fitness Cirencester

Fantastic experience: Snap Fitness is an excellent gym! I’ve been training here on my own and under the guidance of one of the PTs for around 3 years and I couldn’t recommend it enough! The facilities are excellent, the staff are extremely knowledge and there is an extensive class timetable. Compared to other gyms, snap is extremely clean, well maintained and you never struggle to get on a machine. But if you do, the community of members are super friendly and happy to share the popular bits of kit during busier hours. You won’t fine a better facility for the price in the area. 10/10.

Positive experience: Lovely gym, never too busy, chilled vibe with minimal egos. Would train anywhere else. The only negative I'd give in an honest review is the car park is far too small (nothing Snap can do about it unfortunately) and some of the machines need updating.

As a previous non-gym goer, the team here make you feel really welcome, are really knowledgable and create a really positive experience to improve fitness. all the PT's are great, and Sam the manager is brilliant. I started gym and work with PT Lara Cochrane 3 weeks ago and I will not lie to you all, It Is Hard, But It Worth It!!!! I already feel the changes and my strength coming back, thanks for the guidence and hard work she putting me thru! What i like the most that she keep attention not just on your physical strength but on your health as well, which is wery important for me(old injury) . She is a real proffessional who knows what I need, to achieve my goals, stay helthy, and having a good time during the hard workout! So if you thinking about changing to a healthy lifestyle, want to get your previous form back, or just having fun during hard workout I can honestly without a doubt say that Lara it sthe right PT to do it with!!!

Fantastic experience: What a fantastic club! The staff are warm, welcoming and extremely friendly. Every single member has a smile on their face and its so clear to see why. The member experience even after a few weeks of using the gym is very clear to the eye with the cleanliness and appearance of the gym always 100%! The equipment available is of high quality and you very rarely have to wait for the piece of equipment you want. Brilliant brilliant gym.

Fantastic experience: Great, no-nonsense gym. Lots of equipment and lots of options when it comes to short term access. 20 quid for a week, 40 for two and 44 for a month with no paperwork.

Fantastic experience: Excellent gym in Cirencester , staff are super friendly, helpful and importantly knowledgable. Facilities are outstanding. Squat rack, free weights , machines, benches galore and lots of cardio equipment. Good size class room also where they have multiple different classes running daily . Super clean! The team at snap take this very seriously and the gym closes for 15 minutes between sessions whilst we are in a COVID pandemic. Members also wipe down machines after use so you can be sure you are training in a safe environment. Nice member base also, people are friendly and help out each other. You have a whole range of beginner, intermediate and advance members so nobody feels isolated or intimidated as you can in some gyms. 100% recommend

Fantastic experience: Fantastic gym.The equipment is all well maintained and very rarely damaged or out of use. All cleaning is taken seriously throughout COVID with regular cleaning and times throughout the day where the gym is closed for deep cleans. The management team and PTs really make this gym. All very friendly and willing to help, from the Manager all the way through the hierarchy. They go above and beyond to make you feel like you're part of the team. Highly Recommend.

Fantastic experience: Moved here from the Everyone Active Leisure Centre and the staff are so much more engaged and there are a lot more machines. The large open plan layout also makes it a more inviting environment.

Negative experience: Whereas my experience within the gym when open was a very positive one, with great staff and a good atmosphere in the Cirencester branch, my opinion of the company as a whole is now rock bottom. I tried to cancel back in March (in gym), but was persuaded to retain the membership at a reduced rate of £3 per month, so when fully back, I didn't need to create a new account. When I tried to cancel through April and May, you can't; cancellation is in branch only. I found it almost impossible to find any online comms for the branch or company, so resorted to guessing the local branch email (based on domain). I sent an email clearly stating I'd like to cancel my membership with immediate effect in early June, due to moving away from the area. 6 weeks later (!!) I finally get a response saying that I'd need to complete a form and that the 1 month notice period would start from receipt of the completed form. I duly completed the form, but stated that it would have been received in June if they'd actually been bothered to answer the email (let alone been available for online cancellation through April/May)! I got a short reply saying that my account would still be open in July if cancelled in June and therefore the payment for July would still be taken in August (despite them only being open in July for one week!!). My reply was ignored and the August payment was still taken from my account. I CONTACTED MY BANK AND THEY REVERSED THE TRANSACTION. Best advice to all of you out there clearly suffering the same - talk to your banks, not the gym! Stuff you Snap Fitness UK for your lack of support and courtesy in this difficult time.

Negative experience: If you ever dare to leave snap fitness be warned!! They will continue to take money from your bank despite canceling..I cancelled 3 months ago.. Apparently they have lost my cancellation form. You can not cancel the payments through your bank due to the payment being set up via a card payment not a direct debit. My emails were ignored via gym and head office.

Positive experience: Friendly staff but water from the showers is that hot i had to join an other gym. Impossible to shower here, water is almost at scolding point

Negative experience: Terrible customer service. Cancellation procedures ridiculous. Money taken from bank card without permission. Manager was not at all bothered or apologetic after 3 weeks of waiting had to raise a despute through bank to get money back.

Positive experience: Great premises with a good selection of weight machines/ cardio units- which is where it falls flat of its face- there's a complete lack of ventilation in the cardio areas. Places like Nuffield Health whom I presume are competitors, have individual fans in front of the rows of Wattbikes (of which there are non at Snap only 1 Technogym equivalent), even the closed down gym in Tetbury managed 2 big floor standing fans. If your clever, you might take a treadmill under a ceiling air con unit - but your still close to over heating by the end of the session, and I don't consider the built in fans in the treadmills to be effective, at all. This has a knock on effect to your performance for use of the free/machine weights which has resulted in me doing my running outdoors and weights at the gym, which makes me think why don't I just get some free weights for the garage and save £40 a month... Bit of a shame as I work locally and it's nice to break up a 12-14 hour working day.

Negative experience: Even though the actual gym is nice and the staff are lovely when it comes to cancelling your membership, customer service is shocking! In my circumstance I cancelled my membership and I also lost my wallet whilst abroad so lost my bank cards - didn’t think that Snap Fitness would have any trouble taking out the last payment due to direct debit but it turns out they take monthly payments as ‘visa purchase’ so they couldn’t take payment from me. So not only was I stressed trying to cancel & replace all my bank cards, snap fitness also decided to charge me £5.00! They go on about ‘no contract’ etc but don’t believe them just the same as any other gym so beware.
