Anytime Fitness Bushey

Negative experience: - Cleanliness: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4 out of 5 stars) - Machines: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4 out of 5 stars) - Staff: Not rated (since I haven't interacted with them yet) - Members: ⭐ (1 out of 5 stars) Pros: 1. Equipment Quality: The gym's equipment is decent and functional. 2. Quiet Atmosphere: I appreciate that the gym is quiet during my morning visits. 3. Cleanliness: Overall, the gym maintains an acceptable level of cleanliness. There is a smell of mould in the toilets. Cons: 1. Member Behavior: Unfortunately, some members don't follow proper gym etiquette. Specifically: - Barbells Left Loaded: Many members leave barbells fully loaded after their workouts, causing inconvenience for others. (See picture) - Time Wasted: Having to unload and organize the mess before training eats into valuable time, especially when you're rushing for work. - Space Usage: Some members monopolise equipment, especially in the small room with squat racks. Personal Experience: I have been visiting the gym four times a week in the mornings for the past 3 months. While the quiet environment is a plus, the lack of consideration from fellow members can be frustrating. I hope the management addresses this issue by communicating better with members and encouraging more organized behavior. In summary, Anytime Fitness Bushey has its strengths, but improvements are needed in member conduct. Positive experience: Good gym but needs a new fit-out in line with the more modern Anytime gym branches in London e.g. some have Peloton products. Showers and toilets not in good condition, gym is small and the air conditioning needs fixing because of a damp smell.

Fantastic experience: Really nice place. Good equipment and staff are friendly. Being able to access the gym at any time is super useful for those gym sessions at awkward times. Location is pretty good too being next to Bushey station.

Positive experience: nice gym doing a free trial for a week to try out the gym its relatively convenient if you live by bushey station for work quiet most hours.

Fantastic experience: Great gym to be if you are looking for a 24/7 gym. Staff are lovely and always there to help. They are also support members to achieve their goals. :-)

Positive experience: Good gym got ripped here anyways one thing this gym needs to focus on are the bathrooms they get dirty and there hasn’t been soap in one of them for 5days now

Fantastic experience: Just finished a session with Krishan (one of the PT instructors) and it’s the second time he’s worked with me. He’s a really knowledgable, approachable and attentive instructor and even just a session of stretching has made an immediate difference. Will certainly be booking again soon. All in all it’s a small but well resourced and friendly gym. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Lovely gym. Staff are really friendly and always happy to help if you need anything. It’s very, very rare I struggle to get onto what I want to use which is exactly what you want.

Negative experience: For £40+ a month, you would hope there to be a few more machines then there are. They have the basics but still missing a load of machines I felt like. I also don't feel that I was explained to a sufficient level how busy the gym gets in following months as I did my trial in August. When I signed up for my membership, I wasn't really explained the cancellation policy in enough depth so that's something to bare in mind for people thinking of joining. Overall I felt the gym was too small and busy to justify continuing to pay £40 a month.

Fantastic experience: Been going to this gym for the past 18 months - it’s simply brilliant. Staff are lovely, it’s clean and it’s got all the equipment I need for my Push - Pull - Legs workout plan. The best bit about it is - it’s never busy! I went to the Village with my mate on a guest pass last week - HELL - couldn’t even get a bench! Made me realise how quiet this gym is. Busiest times definitely between 6pm - 8pm but you hardly have to wait for anything. I usually go early mornings 6:30am - 7:30am and literally there’s about 3 other people in there. Other members are lovely also. If you commute from Bushey station then this is the gym to join as you have no excuse but to go before or after work!

Fantastic experience: This is such a great club with a lovely community vibe. Never too crowded, always clean and tidy and always a friendly face around to help out. I’ve been using the gym facilities for some time now and recently started PT sessions with Krishan, just three sessions in and I’ve learnt so much. He’s really listened to what I want to get out of my sessions and personalised what we do each time to suit me. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Love the location to walk from the station when I’m in London, and parking facilities if I drive from home. Really impressed at the range of equipment considering this is priced at the non luxury end of the market…staff are very attentive and always around to help. I am really happy using this gym…best gym in the area for sure !

Negative experience: Been a member of this gym for over 3 years, whilst the gym and facilities are great - today I was accused of slamming weights by a member of staff (whose name I didn't catch) despite having control of the weight and letting it down in a controlled manner (not just simply letting go and letting it fall to the ground). What is a real shame is the fact I was singled out by this staff member despite other gym users slamming heavier weights, with the only difference between me and those other individuals being that those other individuals who didn't get told off are far bigger and "intimidating" - hence the staff member giving them a free pass to throw weights around.

Fantastic experience: Have been visiting this Bushey branch of Anytime Fitness recently and having some PT sessions with Erika Hujber. She has been amazing and is helping me focus on a planned approach to improving my fitness levels. Her experience and dedication shines through. Thank you

Positive experience: Key to this is I need a local gym - one that I know I can easily get to/from. Anytime Fitness Bushey is just that. It's local and also on my way to work. I've been members of other gyms, too; working out for I think almost ten years. So, AF...first, it's bigger than it looks from outside however not huge either. All the equipment I need is there and I go super early in the mornings during the week. There's a core group of us who see each other each day. We say hi, we chat and if asked we spot each other. I've not been in the afternoon. On weekends, it's great, too. Busy without being too busy. So, why no fifth star? Just the showers. I don't expect AF to have 24/7 cleaners and like I say I'm in super early. However, it's hard to clean the shower tray after use so I don't like using the showers there. If you are looking for a friendly, local gym and somewhere you DON'T have to be a Sly Stallone to fit in, then Anytime Fitness Bushey is great.

Fantastic experience: I've been on holiday in December and I needed a gym for a week while I was there. I found Anytime Fitness in Bushey and I thought give it a try. All staff were friendly, highly knowledgeable and be able to support all the way while I was there. The manager went an extra mile which I'm eternally grateful. I felt like I was part of a family community. They have the best equipments, also very clean and tidy. I highly recommend visiting them.

Negative experience: Arrived 10 minutes before closing time aka staff operation hours. The staff nowhere to be found

Fantastic experience: A great gym with a nice atmosphere. The staff are all very friendly and the equipment is extensive and high quality. The gym is maintained well. I signed up with one of the Personal trainers Tony for 3 months and saw significant results. It’s a shame they are no longer going to be doing classes however they promised additional equipment. I have never found the gym to feel overcrowded and I tend to visit at peak times.

Negative experience: Please note this gym is small and when it is packed it is uncomfortable to work out in..the manager puts the heating on so it is like a sauna half the time! The toilet facilities are absolutely atrocious… I came in this week and there was urine all over the floor in one cubicle and it appeared that no-one cleaned this area for a good few hours!! Not until the next day … it is mixed men and women and there are no individual facilities to get changed in like anytime Euston! Good luck !

I’m always welcomed by Jess and Erika with a warm smile and Charlie and Tony are able to assist me if I need and are easy to approach.

Fantastic experience: This gym was so needed - location is perfect for me as I can walk there in less than 10 mins. The one thing that surprised me is how big it actually is inside. I was really nervous because I put on a lot of weight during lockdown and felt really overwhelmed but the staff were so supportive; I had a health consultation and they’ve designed a programme for me. The club has a really warm vibe and not intimidating as I’ve found at some other places. All other members seem really considerate and friendly. I’m loving the classes which have now started too! Keep up the good work please team!

Fantastic experience: Great new local 24 hour gym. Plenty of sanitiser equipment (sprays and fixed wall sanitiser pumps). I usually train in the evenings and early mornings (out of staff hours) and feel safe in the gym. Plenty of member discounts in the local area too! Would recommend.

Fantastic experience: Very happy. Everything is clean, everywhere you can find antibacterial spray.( dont need to go far). I am night owl it's great and very convenient. Great equipment. Maybe need hairdryer and antibacterial wipes. But the rest is amaizing. Very happy as a new member of the club.
