Fantastic experience: Really good gym very nice people/kits overall amazing business

Fantastic experience: Hi I’m Tim. After a second hip replacement on my left leg I was very week walking, after 18months prior to my op and then 6weeks using a stick I thought it’s time to go back to gym, not for normal gym work, I thought it would help with walking and balance. As soon I got in the gym, Steve ( owner) met me a reception, I explained my worries and he just took me through different exercises I could try and said go slowly and if I was comfortable and confident we would resign membership as prior my op. It’s so reassuring that a lesser gym can be personal, with the big boys your a number and that’s it I’m afraid. I have always said the A1 Leisure is a very gym, the team can always be there for you if your a beginner or if you have other things on your mine that need a personal touch. All I can say is thankyou Steve for your help. Tim Brennan

Fantastic experience: This is the most welcoming and friendly gym and all the staff are really supportive There are also some great businesses there too - I get my nails done, hair done, beauty treatments and personal training all under one roof!

Negative experience: Awful gym, even worse gym owner, Steve, he comes across very narcissistic and rude. Would never recommend a PT session with him as the one I had, he kept walking out mid session to babysit his 10 year old who he had behind reception. Wouldn’t allow me any rest between sets and reps, altogether he seemed like he didn’t wanna be there and was just rushing the session. The gym equipment is centuries old, weights are rusty, looks like he’s just bought most of it out of his garage. Overall if your looking for a awful, tiny gym, come to this one :)

Fantastic experience: Steve and the team have been great. Joined in January this year, the gym is very welcoming and although I was nervous to join and start Steve made me feel at ease and helped get me going on a routine. Everyone, staff and customers are friendly and I can’t recommend A1 Leisure enough. I now miss going if I can’t make my usual session and even better is the team notice and ask after you. It is a real community and you don’t feel like just a number on their books. Looking forward to continuing to keep fit and healthy with the help of A1 Leisure. Thanks guys.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to a1 leisure for 6 months now having personal training with Steve . when I arrived at the gym I had no confidence to even step in the gym with Steve's help and guidance and trust he has brought out my confidence again in being able to work out on my own and to know how to use the gym equipment With the gym being a smaller environment It’s not so over whelming compared to other gyms so a nicer experience for you to build confidence it’s got all you need and with Steve expanding to outside work out classes it offers something for everyone of all ages and capabilities at affordable pricing for all ! Fantastic experience: I joined A1 because I thought it was really good value for money. I started to really enjoy weights but didn’t really know what I was doing nor did I have a plan to follow. I started doing the classes ran by Jess and Emma which I really enjoyed as they made it fun and as well as having a good workout, there’s also plenty of laughs with a really friendly bunch. Soon after, I was having some shoulder pain and was told by the doctors that I had rotator cuff tendinitis and was told I couldn’t lift more than 2.5kg and had basic exercises to follow. This really set me back with the progress I had already made. I joined the premium membership that Steve had just launched and have never looked back since. Steve put together a plan for me which encouraged the muscles to strengthen in my shoulder, allowing me to gradually build back up to heavier weights (which makes me happy)! I now have a personal programme I follow put together by Steve with monthly progress assessments. Having a plan to follow has been the best thing for me and I love training more than ever! I would absolutely recommend A1 Leisure!!

Fantastic experience: Really enjoy coming here for my workouts. I tend to come early and can always get done what I need to get done. Everyone is friendly and the atmosphere is spot on.

Fantastic experience: Thanks Steve. Today I attended an Emergency First Aid course at A1 Training. It was an excellent course. It covered many aspects of first aid in an relaxed atmosphere. I will certainly be completing future First Aid courses with Steve at "A1 Training ".
