Fantastic experience: I've joined Level Up for 3 weeks now after a 6 months break and I have to say this is the best gym I've trained at. I've had an amazing start and lost 3kgs. There's a good variety of classes and the class instructors are lovely especially Katie who runs the Olympic lifting, would be great if they had 1 more session added. But the WOD and kettlebell sweat classes are also fun and challenging. You know a gym is good when the owner knows your name and engages in conversation. This shows the owner values their members and makes a effort to get to know everyone. I've been to many gyms over the years and most I don't even know who the owner is let alone having a conversation. But most of all I definitely have to mention my PT instructor Sharon (aka Sassy Shaz), she is an absolute laugh to be around like you've been friends for years. She'll work you hard and she gives you the confidence you need to get results because even if you don't believe in yourself, she believes in you and that gives you a new boost of confidence and the results are definitely showing.

Fantastic experience: After letting my fitness lapse for a few years, I was feeling awful and like I had no control of my own body. I decided to take action and contacted several gyms in Southport. The response was awful and actually made me feel worse - mainly trying to enlist me in classes and take my money without really listening to my issues and needs. I was about to give up and messaged this gym asking for help. It was late in the evening yet the owner still personally responded. He was patient, listened to me, called back the next day and we chatted. He took the time to listen to me and advise me. I have now been coming to the gym 4 times a week since and my body, mental health and confidence have transformed. I feel like a different person. My PT Sharon is amazing. She is so supportive and knowledgable but most of all she is absolutely lovely. She makes hard work fun and it’s like meeting a friend at the gym. This whole gym has such a lovely vibe. It is inclusive, friendly, supportive and the range of equipment is amazing. I would be surprised if this wasn’t the best equipped gym in the town. All in all my experience of this gym, the PT, the staff - has just been flawless. If you are considering joining a gym, I cannot recommend this one enough!

Fantastic experience: I have just joined Level Up and even from the first visit I knew this was the gym for me. Chloe was super lovely and showed me round and showed me how to use any equipment I wasn’t sure on. Such a relaxed friendly environment, I have gym anxiety and I’ve felt so comfortable in this gym even being a new member. Had PT with Sharon who is absolutely fabulous and really made me work. I can’t wait to start my fitness journey with level up.

Fantastic experience: Been a member for a couple of weeks after swapping from the big gym at Ocean Plaza. Everything that was missing there is at Level Up. Very clean, loads of machines which are maintained, a very friendly atmosphere. Honestly, I've had a big improvement since swapping, a bit of motivation, a better atmosphere and better equipment goes a long way.

Positive experience: Excellent gym with top-tier equipment, loads of space, friendly staff and great music. Edit: May 2024 -- had to drop to four stars. You can tell a lot about how a gym is run by how quickly they repair damaged equipment. Cable machine been out of action for a couple of weeks now. Edit: 7th June 2024 -- cable machine repaired. Update: August 2024 -- All equipment working well and staff clean and check equipment regularly. Good atmosphere. After having been a member for about nine months, I can say it's the best gym I've worked out at.

Fantastic experience: Easily the best gym in southport, I came for 2 trial sessions and they were the 2 best gym sessions I ever had. The staff are always polite and very helpful, I would highly recommend this gym to anyone who wants to improve themselves.

Negative experience: When I joined the gym I was so made up of the wide range of classes provided. However, the classes often got cancelled at the very last minute if the booking numbers were low. They say it is not worth paying an instructor for just a few attendees. Don't forget some join the gym just for classes and they pay the pricey £36.99 a month. If you turn your clients down do not be surprised if they leave you.

Fantastic experience: I have been a member at The Warehouse Gym for a good few years now and truly believe this gym is the best in Southport. I will back that up with some further information, the gym is fantastically equipped and also just as important it is kept immaculately clean and tidy making it a pleasure to use. I would also like to also applaud Mark, Raynor and their staff for their energy and commitment to their customers always putting in max effort. If your going to join a gym in Southport then this should be your choice.

Fantastic experience: One of the best gyms I’ve ever been too, even before covid struck it was immaculate but the efforts Marks & Rayner have gone, to further increase the cleanliness for their members is incredible. Let alone their offering of live & outdoor classes to keep everyone fit and healthy during lockdown. As for the training itself the equipment they’ve invested in & the time spent planning amazing workouts is nothing but above & beyond. Love training at TWG & you would too

Fantastic experience: I joined this year and it is by far the nicest gym I've ever been to. Everyone is so helpful and friendly, it's really clean and the music is always great! It might sound a bit odd but the temperature is always nice too. They've also got a lot of healthy options for sale at the reception for those post workout cravings! Oh and somewhere to fill up water bottles, which is brilliant.

Top equipment, music, great classes, friendly staff and always immaculately clean - you see staff cleaning constantly. I have to give a special shout out to Jan Haynes who is a PT there. She is the most motivating PT I have ever been to and is totally dedicated to the progress of her clients, I can’t recommend her enough. This place has changed my life for the better

Since joining last year, I’ve lost the extra weight I’d gained, dropped a couple of dress sizes and have seen an improvement in my fitness levels - just from taking part in the many classes on offer.

Fantastic experience: OK well I've tried a few gyms in our town but the warehouse is by far the Best for both value and quality, I do 5 lessons a week but lessons are unlimited so the price you pay even if your not on an offer is just £26.99 which is absolutely ridiculous, if your using the gym daily in my opinion it's worth double what's being charged, and nearly every one who trains and teaches are friendly and approachable, not alot more to say but it's January and if you join now it's a £10 note a month a bottle of wine, I'd be snapping this offer up I am so impressed I recently paid for 11 months and got 11 free

Fantastic experience: I visited to train at Lucio Sergio Brazillian Jiu Jitsu which is housed in the gym. I haven`t used any of the gyms equipment, except the changing rooms and showers. The changing rooms and showers (mens) were clean and in excellent condition. There is adequate room for several people to change at once, up to maybe 10. I can`t remember if there were lockers available. The showers were hot and very welcome after my training. Toilets are also connected to the changing room. There is also a bath. The help desk has a person to assist with any questions, facing the entrance. You can also buy water and other refreshments there. A cooled water fountain is available next to the desk for filling water bottles. All of the other patrons of the gym were very friendly, and I saw some serious work being done and some well developed people. I witnessed people being coached on weight training equipment, and there seemed to be an extensive variety of weight training equipment there, including a track for a prowler. It seemed to be a well equipped gym. Lucio Sergios` BJJ gym was excellent. I trained with people far above my grade in a friendly and very welcoming atmosphere. I would recommend this place to anyone who is thinking of training in Brazillian Jiu Jitsu, The instructor is a world champion and a very friendly and well tempered man, who is very knowledgeable and experienced in teaching Jiu Jitsu. My brother was a member of the gym some time ago and he said it is a very well equipped gym. He recommends it.
