Fantastic experience: Lovely climbing centre. I felt the progression was quite steep for newer climbers. However, the setting was very different and interesting. The student discount was very nice, and the food and drinks prices were very reasonable.

Positive experience: Pros: In general a very good bouldering gym. The best playlist I ever heard in a bouldering gym. The staff is friendly. Great coffee. Nice variety of problems for adults. Things to improve: No parking, at all. I had to go around a couple of times and then left my wife in the car since there was no parking on the street. There is also not a paid option nearby. This is a huge blocker for me and will make it close to impossible to get there again. I was there with 2 of my kids who used to climb v 3-4 ratings. It seems that almost all of the v2s were very easy for them but they were struggling with the reach of the v3s. So they couldn't practice any hard problems that would fit their height.

Fantastic experience: One of my favourites in London

Negative experience: After leaving my bike in the racks after my session to go for some food, I returned just in time for staff to be leaving the building and heading to drive out of the parking area. I went and removed my bike, not aware that the gate is locked overnight. The staff member preparing to close and lock the gate made very passive aggressive comments. This is such a shame as I usually find everyone polite and approachable, and has definitely tainted my opinion of the center. Maybe some clear signage of when the gates are opened and closed would be handy so we're all well informed and can avoid this kind of unnecessary rudeness.

Fantastic experience: The Font is my local climbing gym and it's always filled with fun and friendly staff. I enjoy climbing here but sometimes I wish they would have more shorter setters as most routes seem to be reachy. There have been a handful of times where I couldn't reach the start holds. It would be good to have more variation.

Fantastic experience: The font is an excellent climbing centre - friendly helpful team, reasonably priced and not overly busy. Mix of members from young adults, kids and more seasoned climbers. Great vibe and would recommend giving them a try.

Fantastic experience: Love love love the Font. My kids have been climbing there since it opened and really enjoy it. Their courses for kids are well-structured and the coaches make it fun too. One of my children has disabilities and they have adapted things for them and been inclusive. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: This is a great bouldering gym! Route setting is interesting and fun, the coffee is great and the staff is really friendly. Also, happened to witness their "One Night Only" block (a boulder problem, up only for one night) which was really cool.

Positive experience: Big bouldering center. Great staff. Nice vibe in there. Would been better if some of the walls went in like a cave

Fantastic experience: Very nice and helpful staff. The climbs are all very clearly marked and well thought out in a reasonable ascending difficulty. There's also a pretty decent gym which you are allowed to use, and a nice coffee shop/bar where sometimes events are hosted, such as Oktoberfest.

Negative experience: Pompous manager, that implied that fully paid members are much more important than individuals who frequent their bar. I think they are expensive and always under stock of most drinks. I will not return again, made to feel like a second class customer.

Fantastic experience: I have just returned from a climbing holiday organised by The Font, along with The Crimp and Good Life, and cannot recommend the experience enough. Amazing company and superb coaching. Do not hesitate the next time one is arranged.

Fantastic experience: Great place for children and adults or as a feed hours with the family. You can just pop In and sit and have a coffee as well. Lessons are amazing for children and is challenging but so much fun.

Fantastic experience: The best climbing gym in town. Lovely staff, fine coffee and cakes and the best route setting.

Fantastic experience: Inspiring setting with genuinely good movement and well set problems that challenge physically, technically and mentally. Great big well equipped gym space, didn’t feel sweaty even on a super hot June day. Management and staff create an inclusive and fun atmosphere however ‘seriously’ you take your climbing. Decent small shop for shoes and essentials. Not my most local gym but my first choice go to when I can range a bit further from home.

Negative experience: Awful staff member, female with a snake tattoo. Tried to have a parent of a disabled child removed whilst he was standing outside, watching his son climbing. Only cause he looked "suspicious" in her deluded mind. Avoid this place if you can - they seem to hire some nasty characters.

Fantastic experience: Really good gym for bouldering, although I feel some grades are slightly off. Nonetheless, it's probably the best bouldering gym in South London! Strongly recommended !

Fantastic experience: Very nice place. Great option of different climbs and a nice outdoor space to sit and have a drink and some food. The only downside I would say is that it's pretty expensive (£14 per entry) and when we went there, there was only one person on the desk and we waited for about 20 minutes to be served.

Fantastic experience: One of the best bouldering gyms I’ve ever been to. Quality routesetting, especially for lower grades which are often hard to make interesting, but the setters down at The Font do a great job. Always good vibes in the gym, good music, good climbers and a friendly team. The events held here are always fab, was brilliant to see some of GB’s best climbers in my local gym for Brawl on the Wall last year. Food provided by Pirates Burgers is always good and there is a different deal almost every day, plus with the shutters open on a sunny day the gym really comes alive!

Negative experience: We entered with a free class pass from MINDBODY and instead of being accepted we were told we couldn’t enter. The staff said we should book online the online platform said the staff should let us in. The person at the front counter was not proactive at all in helping us instead attempted to charge us £18 for shoes and entry. Total waste of my time and theirs. Refused to enter it on principle. Thanks for the offer of a free session, but there is no need for it. Hopefully this issue with MINDBODY will just be fixed which is more important.

Negative experience: We were excited to come after seeing an offer on MindBody, but we were denied entry upon arrival as the person at the reception was not at all trying to acknowledge that we had our pass, the app just wouldn't let us show it. I understand incidents happen, but the staff showed 0% willingness to help.

Fantastic experience: Good variety of climbs, holds are clean and mats and facilities are all in good condition. Good sized gym area but I didn't use it. Food, coffee, and beers on offer which is a plus and the staff were really nice. Great first climb in London!

Fantastic experience: bouldering climbing, with a gym and bar coffee shop! You can go in the morning to enjoy exercising and a coffee, or evening climbing with friends and a drink and burger after! The place have facilities to change, shoes rental and a mini shop with all the essential. Team always friendly and welcoming make an amazing atmosphere!! I highly recommend the brownies.

Fantastic experience: Fun gym with lots of modern comp style setting as well as a whole load of slab areas. Lots of big juicy holds and also plenty of crimp lines. Big line of sinks in the changing room for washing off all the chalky goodness post climb. V good

Positive experience: I had a very cool experience here. It was my first time bouldering and I have always wanted to do it. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. There is a bar and I thing a menu to get food though I didn't try it. I would definitely go again. There were nothing in the sanitiser stations though and no soap in the ladies toilets ‍♀️.

Fantastic experience: Plenty of space, a nice variety of wall types and holds. And most importantly, sufficiently many different climbs suitable for an unathletic geek to also feel at home. The gym area also looks nice and the food from the kitchen partner is top notch.

Positive experience: It was ok. The price point of high compared to others in London and the gym I’d pretty small with only a few options to try of your not an expert.

Great routes with lots of variety and difficulties, great atmosphere, frequently updated route setting, plus a good gym area and a bar with good food and drinks. A little more expensive than some climbing centres in London but not enough to deter if you live in the area.

Fantastic experience: Great place to improve your bouldering skills and you have a super staff helping you if you feel you got stuck. Their gym is well equipped and you can come in from the street if you'd like a one off time climbing session. The bar is open until late and WOW! their Burgers are one of a kind. I personally think their burgers are one of the best in London.

Fantastic experience: Awesome bouldering walls. Nice cafe for coffee, food and beers. Staff are all super nice and super helpful. Colour coded climbs so anyone can do it! I tend to go midweek around 2-3pm and there's never more than 10 ppl climbing, so there's loads of space and free walls to climb. Also has a gym with weight benches/plates/racks/etc.

Positive experience: One of the few gyms in London with proper grades, clean holds and AC that works. Training area is almost perfect: a spray wall would make it so. Social events: almost every week with some entertaining characters. Route setting is not boring & it's done in different styles (there's also a woman part of the route-setting team) I heard people complaining that Font does not have enough overhangs: if you're not Team GB, this gym has exactly the amount of roof climbing that your puny lats and sourdough fingers could handle. It would be a 5 stars gym if less people would walk on mats with outdoor shoes.

Fantastic experience: Probably my favourite place to go for a quick bit of climbing. Really friendly staff. Good, and nicely rotated, routes but still with enough time to try and finish it before it goes... Coffee and the cafe situation is also a bonus. Sunday morning climb (begun with a coffee) is my favourite time to go.

Really nice route setting from lowest to highest level with weekly a wall route setting that keep me motivated to go and try new routes. And the most important thing, lovely staff, they are very kind and helpful all the time. I recommend 100%
