The Gym Group Orpington

Fantastic experience: I was reticent to join a gym for fear of feeling out of place. This gym is spotless, with lovely staff, great machinery and most importantly an atmosphere of inclusivity and comfort. People let you get on with your own business, are respectful of each other and it has a lovely vibe. The amenities are really lovely, with plenty of locker space, nice changing rooms and spotless toilets. The vending machines are always well stocked, clean and accessible. I would raise that sometime the top floor seems a bit hot and sometimes it would be nice to have a bench you can sit on if you wanted a rest between your workout sections or just to catch your breath, but that's literally me splitting gym hairs!

Fantastic experience: Great gym with a really nice environment. Clean, tidy, bright, big there's usually enough machines so I never have to wait around to use something even at the busiest times.

Fantastic experience: For what it cost a month it actually offers quite a good range of training equipments. There are a Hitt, weights, stretch areas and eventhough the cardio machines are a little analog, they do the job OK. Good atmosphere and very clean. Just needs more self wipe stations, as they only offer the spray but no paper or cloths

Fantastic experience: This gym is fantastic. It's brand new, with a full suite of brand new equipment. The staff are lovely, and the facilities are always kept clean. There's an excellent range of equipment, from free weights to strength and cardio machines. It might not have the full range of a bodybuilding gym, or even a larger commercial gym, but they've made excellent use of the space. Furthermore, there's 24 hour access, and free classes throughout the day. For the price it's unbeatable value for money.

Fantastic experience: Clean, never too busy. Only complaint is the people who sit on a machine playing with their sodding phone while I wait to use the machine. What are these people doing in a gym ?

Fantastic experience: I love this gym, good variety of classes, I especially like the fit box classes, Conrad, Ay Jay, Shawn are all great. Suggestions: If there were some evening (or weekend) yoga & Pilates classes that would be amazing.

Fantastic experience: Very large and spacious gym. Large variety of machines and helpful staff/personal trainers, such as Kumar. I wasn’t sure how to use the hip thrust machine and he showed me how. Great service!

Positive experience: I took advantage of the half price membership to start my gym journey , I've only managed to do the classes flexi stretch & burn 400 ,these were very enjoyable , love that they are only 30 or 45 minutes. On a whole the gym is very clean & the staff are super friendly & helpful. The music is too loud & tbh is terrible, it needs to be more uplifting , if this can't be sorted maybe put the radio on , my suggestion would be Mi-soul or Centreforce .. reason for 4 stars.

Negative experience: The facilities are lovely but if you encounter difficulty such as having a stalker at the gym try to attack you they are poorly trained in customer service to support you through this and will ignore you. They will not respond on the Facebook they will respond on instagram more than any other medium but in all fairness they prefer to avoid you. I experienced very poor customer service. I chose this gym as it looked amazing but customer service in light of difficulty is an area for development as a result I have chosen to go elsewhere

Fantastic experience: New member, great selection of equipment which are clean and friendly staff, if a bit thin on the ground. There aren't any cleaning stations, so equipment can be cleaned after each use, but i think I've seen someone go around cleaning, but this would make me feel a little more comfortable if I could. I am hoping to get a chance at some of the classes and will update my review after this experience.

Shout out to Conrad and Paul for always making me laugh throughout a class when I'm powering through. And a shout out to Sadik and Aaron for always making me push through the pain and test my limits. Never had a bad experience here and look forward to coming to the gym.

Fantastic experience: What an amazing new gym in Orpington. It is clean , spacious and has great classes throughout the day. All the staff are very knowledgeable, friendly and approachable. A special mention to Sadik who is a PT and takes some of classes, he is always very friendly and passionate about what he does which makes attending the classes more enjoyable. I am member at a few gyms in the area and this by far the best

Fantastic experience: The classes here are exceptional, Paul, Conrad and Christanth are all fantastic trainers. They are very welcoming, personable and passionate about what they do. I’ve recently started going to the gym after having two children and I couldn’t have picked a better place to come.

Fantastic experience: This is a great gym so spacious inside great environment one of the best gyms in Orpington and it’s 24 hr the staff are always on hand for any questions or direction that you need and they know what they are talking about and you can validate your parking inside too you cannot go wrong get along and join up NOW

Positive experience: Everything in the gym is new and well maintained, which is what you would expect as it’s only recently opened. I particularly like Sadik’s classes as they are challenging and he makes the sessions fun. Just a few negatives to mention. There is no waiting list option for the classes if they are full. I was just told to turn up. You then end up with a class so busy that there isn’t enough space to move. I have also received a parking fine that I have appealed (which was rejected) and have not been given support from the gym. I remember registering my car and still got a fine. My advice is to maybe register your car twice, just to be certain.

Fantastic experience: The gym has had a buzz since it opened and caters for all levels of gym goers. Johan and his team are always on the floor engaging with customers and showing a presence. The gym is clean, tidy and well maintained regardless of time and day. I wouldn't go anywhere else you won't find a better gym in Orpington.

Fantastic experience: Really am enjoying this gym, the 30 minute classes are great! Please do not cancel any of the 6.30am classes, especially the boot camp/circuits, they are a must for an early morning start to the day. All staff are welcoming and helpful. Thank you.

Negative experience: I really had a very awful experience ; I went to this gym , to check membership options, to have a look around , check the classes and timings on 3rd March around 5pm , I was ringing the bell for assistance; the Gym-instructor was sitting right across the door on a high chair , he saw me ringing the bell for assistance. He was on call , swinging his legs , laughing , looking at me , not doing anything , Just on his phone conversation, for more than 10min. Even after my friend who is already a member tried to just point at me to show I was waiting, he was rather not bothered/careless. The least I expected was he would let me in and ask me wait. notting at all , dint move a muscle. I left feeling very embarrassed, all the people swiping in-out, people working out near the door, were looking at me, confused. I wouldn't have bothered to write this up, only intention is to prevent a similar situation from recurring, if any Gym manager is reading this, or not sure if its was the Manager itself , sitting and staring at me.
