Energie Fitness Sandhurst

Negative experience: Posting on behalf of my sister as she cannot leave or tweak her previous review. She ended her contract in August (within the same month she joined) as she was unhappy with the gym. After several emails and unanswered calls, she has only received one of the three monthly payments owed to her (which continue to be taken after she expressed her wishes to end her contract). The gym has responded to her review and one of her emails, but are either incompetent or lying about refunding her money back. We wouldn’t feel the need to publicise this if you just rectified the situation fully - and stop taking money from her account each month. Surely as a brand and local business you want this cleared up asap!

Fantastic experience: I have been a member of the gym for 6 months now and all the machines are well maintained and clean. Staff are friendly and approachable. It’s a lovely little gym with all the equipment you might need and free/spacious car park. I really enjoy kettlebells and TRX classes.

Negative experience: Following the review of Aimee Liggins, where the manager confidently shared that they would receive a refund and cancel further payments, after several weeks no refund has been made and a further payment taken! Not sure how confident the manager is now after lying publicly, stand little hope in them achieving a reasonable outcome. Would appreciate if they would be able to get in contact asap as you can never get through over the phone, they’re just keyboard warriors behind a screen who are afraid to confront their mistakes.they have now taken £69.98.

Negative experience: I personally have not enjoyed going to this gym due to ‘vibe’ and layout. As I was in a 1 year contract I knew I had to wait it out. I called multiple times and could never get through and left many voice messages that were never returned! When I eventually cancelled my contract a month early, they immediately called me up asking for the money. I paid there and then and was informed that my contract was closed. I’ve since found out they have continued to take money from me without my permission and have had the same issues when trying to call them and get through. I have finally spoken to someone at reception who said I will get a refund - Fingers crossed it comes through. One of the worst gyms I have been to and dealt with.

Negative experience: I quit the gym by exercising my cooling off rights less than 10 days after signing the contract. This is because we were led to believe the gym was open later than it is on the weekend and that we could also use other gyms when they were closed. Unfortunately the use of other gyms (e.g. Wokingham) is only during manned hours. Despite a phone call and several emails they waited until the day after my cooling off period ended to reply to me. Fortunately I anticipated this and sent several emails and recorded the phone call I had with them during the cooling off period. In spite of this they attempted to take money from my account which they failed to do so as I cancelled the direct debit. I take no joy in leaving this review and will be removing it once I receive confirmation that the problem has been resolved. I also take note of the fact that I do not seem to be the only one having similar problems with this gym.

Fantastic experience: All the equipment Is well maintained and everything that you would possibly need Is all there, however, it seems like the A/C Is never on as it always roasting inside even without doing any exercise

Negative experience: What an absolute bunch of thieves, I cancelled my membership in November 23, in January I was still trying to sort it out despite several contacts on email, I also spoke to a chap who called me from the gym and was supposed to call me back and never did, finally cancelled the Membership in January asked for clarification I did not owe any money and still heard nothing, since then every month I get loads of emails asking me to rejoin. Today 7 months later apparently I owe £147 and they have put my case to a debt collection agency, I will NEVER recommend or use this gym again ROBBERS!

Fantastic experience: Great facilities and always clean and tidy. Equipment is well kept and maintained with a wide variety of facilities

Positive experience: Decent gym but I cancelled my membership on 16/03 and bizarrely had to wait a whole calendar month for the contract to end (that’s fine) so had to do whole of April. Apparently it finished on April 29th but 30th April is the last day of the month. I arrived at the gym on 30th and they wouldn’t let me in one last time. I’ve been there almost 3 years and they wouldn’t even let me do one last day. Bit stingy. Good gym though staff could say hi more to be honest. Music is a bit loud at times but great gym overall would really recommend but not quite 5 stars for me.

Fantastic experience: I joined Énergie a couple of weeks ago, I’ve never really been to a gym before so I was quite nervous. However, all of the staff are very friendly and helpful. Even the other members have gone out of their way to help me or give me advice. I’ve been to a number of the classes and I have enjoyed them all. The equipment is good and is kept clean. The toilets and showers are also clean. Would definitely recommend this gym, especially if you’re nervous about joining the gym. This one is lovely.

Fantastic experience: Excellent gym! Always a pleasure to workout here. All the equipment you need and well maintained. Staff very helpful and approachable. There is even outside events such as mountain climbing to dog walking.

Negative experience: Gym is ok but now being chased for £120.. I missed a payment (£29.99) because I switched banks. I was getting chasers on a daily basis to pay the fee, within days was being hounded by a debt collection company. This put me off returning to the gym so I never even used the months membership they are chasing me for. I work in the nhs and cannot always answer calls during the day and have reached out to the club about this but just asked to make payment rather than actually addressing how rude it is to chase customers to that extent and immediately refer to debt collectors. Sad to have left as I enjoyed the community atmosphere but clearly money is their priority. And to quadruple the cost is very unjust!

Fantastic experience: Been coming to energie in sandhurst since it first opened in April 2021 if I’m correct. Never could change gyms. Have tried out others but nothing compares to this gym. Feels like a second home and I always know I come out from the gym knowing I’ve hit a good session with some good equipment which allows you to progress in whatever your goals are. (Ranging from strength to aesthetics to athletics)

Fantastic experience: Clean workout space, very friendly and well run. Nice range of cardio & strength equipment + classes. Parking is plentiful and not a headache like it seems to be at every other gym in the general area. Overall a great gym.

Fantastic experience: The best gym in the area! The staff are friendly but not too ‘in your face’. They are always happy to answer questions, give advice and have a quick chat. I do classes, my own sessions and am also signed up to one of their PT’s. It really is the best gym I’ve been to and highly recommend it.

Fantastic experience: Great gym with a great atmosphere. Friendly staff, always up for a chat, having a laugh but also pushing you to your limits. Highly recommend a spin class and Francesca is really supportive of showing how to use equipment and ensure your form is correct, she also teaches a mean TRX class! The gym ready has everything you need! Have recommended to everyone I know!

Fantastic experience: Love this gym. Clean and friendly. Staff are polite and make you feel welcome. Love classes BUT The Spin Classes with @Tomdayfitness are just epic. Uplifting tracks and he really motivates you throughout. Can't wait till the DJ lighting goes up, it's going to be an Energie Spin Nightclub Keep it up guys. Best gym around

Fantastic experience: Excellent gym and really friendly staff - Alex who runs the Pilates classes is the best - her classes are amazing and perfect for all levels she makes it fun but you feel like you have had a total body work out each time she always goes above and beyond with each class - highly recommend this gym and all classes including Martin and his spin classes too

The staff help you with and questions you may have about health and fitness. A real community feel! It's also clean and full of happy people ❤️

Fantastic experience: A great gym, well equipped with a fantastic team of staff and real community vibe. Offers a large range of classes in their great YARD zone or the studio, plenty of cardio and resistance training machines and huge free weights area. The gym is always looking to improve off member feedback. Loads of free carparking including free EV charging stations is a great bonus

Fantastic experience: Been a member since they opened last year and think this is an excellent gym with great staff, lots and room to move about, and modern, state of the art equipment. And very reasonably priced, too. A full five stars from me. I do have one gripe. When the classes are on, the music in the class is played ridiculously loud. What's more, they don't turn the normal pipped music off, so you have two different tracks playing, simultaneously. Now, if like most people, you actually like to listen to your own headset music, that's three different songs on, at the same time. It's absurd and today, I walked out as the noise from the spinning class was completely overwhelming. Come on guys, a little common sense, please.

Fantastic experience: This gym just gets better and better! Michael Froud has now increased the number of Pilates classes and brought in a new highly experienced instructor, namely Alex Coveney. I attended her class today and it was fabulous! The new GM Ryan Carlton is also a great asset to the already established team. All this whilst maintaining its community feel. Fantastic! Great value for money as well.

Fantastic experience: I've been training here for around a year now all of the equipment is sound. Never a broken machine the personal training there is top location is perfect and I love seeing how hard people train there. If you enjoy lifting weights to martial arts or cardio and spin classes with a very clean friendly and tidy environment then look no futher, the cables there are better then any I've seen anywhere else and I've been a competing body builder for over five years. I'm never leaving

Fantastic experience: Energie fitness in sandhurst is a really good gym. The personal trainers are super friendly and make it an easy and enjoyable time for people especially those anxious to start there journey. Cannot go wrong with the equipment all high quality. They also wipe down and maintain the machines very well. And you will meet a lot of people who are friendly which makes it feel like a home rather than a gym alone. Definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: this gym is everything you could ask for. the staff are very friendly and greet you when you come into the gym with a smile. the equipment is great and the area for exercise is a very good size. the staff are more than happy to come and show you how to use equipment and will stay with you to make sure you’ve got your form perfect. it’s an enjoyment to work out in this gym and the vibe in there is perfect.
