Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to Snap Fitness for many years now. I’m also a member of Pure Gym, but, even though Pure Gym is a much bigger establishment, Snap Fitness has much better equipment. Both the cardio and weights equipment is superior to any other gym I have ever used over the many years that I’ve been training. Free weights up to 50kg. Multiple squat racks. Friendly staff working there. Nice private shower cubicles as well, which are stocked with shower gel etc. What’s also good about this gym is that they are able to freeze your membership if you are going abroad for a while or just fancy a break, for example, rather than having to cancel your membership and set up a new one upon your return. I believe it’s the only 24 hour gym in Barry as well, which is very handy to be able to train at all hours. Highly recommend Snap Fitness. 5*
Fantastic experience: Great local gym and the bonus of being 24 hours. Could do with another Smith machine as only one here. Friendly staff and very clean. Small in size and gets quite busy.

Positive experience: I've been going here on and off. Now on the regular. I enjoy it, have every possible equipment I could ever need. However, some days especially in the evening around 5PM it get soo rammed packed I can't use any of the benches, singular machines, etc. I am happy that you have the customers to keep things aloft, but there is just too many people in the gym at one time. I would appreciate if there were more benches mind Thanks for reading John

Positive experience: Does the job. It's a basic gym with all the equipment you need. There are only 2 things I can say are worth complaining about is a lot of the time the TV's aren't displaying anything or are displaying rubbish antenna TV channels (they should be showing music videos or something gym/workout related that is still entertaining!), and a lot of the time the Virtual Active videos don't work on the machines. Other than that, it does the job. EDIT: One more thing - they don't currently have a water fountain/free drinks machine.

Fantastic experience: I have been coming here for a few months and it has been amazing. The friendly atmosphere and support has been great. After suffering a back injury this hasn’t hindered any progress as everything has been adapted. I don’t think I’d go anywhere else now!!

Positive experience: Late night gym goer. The gym is always clean. Parking never a issue. Honestly one of the best 24hrs out there. The staff are super helpful I remember a guy called Jordan going above and beyond for me looking for some misplaced equipment. Would be 5 but its abit expensive

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a member of this gym for years now, more or less since it’s opened. I’ve tried other gyms but can say with confidence that this is the best gym I’ve been to. You’re always greeted with a smile, the staff are so friendly and approachable. The gym itself has an amazing atmosphere - it’s always clean and the there is a wide range of equipment, free weights and machines available. Classes are also included with your membership (from boxing to yoga and spin classes, and classes focusing on your core / LBT) and these always get you hyped up. Thank you :)

Fantastic experience: I would (and have) highly recommend snap fitness to anyone interested in going to the gym. It’s perfectly suited for beginners and advanced gym-goers alike. The staff at Barry are very friendly, approachable and helpful. They are all a credit to the Snap family. The gym is always squeaky clean and they regularly install new pieces of equipment which I find very motivating and keeps training from becoming monotonous.

Fantastic experience: Snap fitness Barry is an amazing gym with a fantastic atmosphere. The staff are friendly and approachable and always on hand to answer any questions and other members of the gym are welcoming and polite. The gym is well equipped with cardio, weights and resistance machines and there is never a wait for equipment. Jordan who works at Snap Fitness Barry is also a great PT and I would recommend him to everyone looking for a personal trainer. The gym is well kept, always tidy and clean and equipment always where it should be. The facilities are great with lovely showers and toilets that are always clean. All in all, I would recommend snap fitness Barry to anyone who is looking for a friendly and relaxed atmosphere as well as a well equipped place to train.

Fantastic experience: Snap Fitness Barry doesn't feel like a gym. It feels like a community. All the staff are friendly and always have time for a chat whether its a personal or workout one. Always clean considering it's a 24hr access gym.

Fantastic experience: Joined back in August last year- I started having weekly PT session with Cait who I could not recommend enough! I have now referred my close friends who have now joined! I love my PT sessions and feel very comfortable talking with any of the trainers in the gym! The classes are so much fun (boxfit is a personal favourite! Love that the gym is 24 hours and that I have an app where I can book classes and see the sessions I have attended!

Fantastic experience: A modern and well kept gym - the facilities are good with wide variety of equipment. The staff are friendly and welcoming, as a gym novice I have always felt comfortable asking for assistance from any of the staff members. They offer a wide range of gym classes that are high energy and lots of fun. I recommend snap to anyone in Barry or the surrounding areas looking for a gym with a friendly community.

Fantastic experience: Been a member since it opened. Staff are really friendly/helpful, and the gym is always clean. Huge amount of equipment even though the gym is relatively small. Cardio machines, weight machines, free weights (including landmine press/trap bar). Classes are all fantastic, especially Turn'd Up with Emma, and it's easy to book on with the app.

Fantastic experience: I find gyms daunting, and I had anxiety about switching gyms but the staff at Snap made me feel very welcome from the first time I walked in. I started training with my brother to help with my anxiety but after a few months I felt comfortable to train solo. The atmosphere is very friendly, staff and members are always willing to help and are on hand if needed. I have recommended the gym to other family members who are also now very happy members also. The gym does great fundraising for important causes, and always have fitness challenges running for members to take part in and feel like part of the Snap family. I am very happy to be a member of such a warm, friendly and welcoming gym.

Fantastic experience: Joined during COVID when my previous gym restricted hours, will never go back. Love that it's 24hours so I can fit my gym workout around family life. Lovely, clean space with everything needed for a good workout. Staff are really friendly and I found them really approachable when I've needed help/advice. Tried a bookcamp class for the first time today and it was brilliant. Really well led and was shown how each activity could be adjusted to suit all abilities.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic gym. Staff are always so friendly and the gym is always clean. Perfect place if you are looking to get more confidence in the gym. Gym also offers Personal Trainers which is what really gave me my confidence in the gym and found my love for it. Would definitely recommend!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been training with Cait for over a year and she has helped me with my confidence in the gym, she’s a great PT. The gym is always clean with friendly staff who are always happy to help and have a chat. The classes are also a lot of fun!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a member of the gym since last August. The staff are wonderful and very helpful. There’s loads of equipment for everyone’s needs plus various classes i.e. yoga, spin. The ages of the members are mixed and everyone is friendly.

Fantastic experience: My favourite place for ME time! Staff and customers are very friendly, staff are knowledgeable and approachable - don't be afraid to ask them for advice, they're happy to share their expertise! Kept very clean, and full of all the equipment you're most likely to need! I haven't tried the classes yet (as I'm following a programme) but I am likely to at some point in the future - however the range of classes available looks fab and a great way to meet new likeminded people. This is great for someone like me who is new-ish to the area! :)
