Fantastic experience: UltraFlex Leeds North is amazing. I've tried a few since moving to East Leeds and none of them come close. The only gym in the whole of Leeds that comes close is Graft Haus, and even then I think I'd give UltraFlex the edge. The sheer amount of equipment means that, even at busy times, you're very rarely left waiting for someone to finish their sets. I'm also consistently impressed with the variety of equipment. I'm someone that gets bored of particular exercises easily, but UltraFlex have some weird and wonderful equipment that keeps the workouts fresh and the stimulus exciting. The parking is also fantastic. There's tonnes of parking and I've never struggled. I have no idea how every other member has a BMW or Mercedes, but it means that you definitely won't get your car door scratched if you park next to one! It isn't cheap but it's worth it, especially when stacked against nearby gyms. The quality and quantity of equipment makes UltraFlex worth every penny. They're also consistently upgrading the equipment, which makes me feel like my membership money is really being put to good use. The only issues I have are small ones. First - and this is the most old man complaint in the world - the music is a touch too loud. I wear good noise-cancelling headphones but the gym's music always cuts through. Second is the number of folk recording their sets. To be clear - nobody has ever said anything or been anything but nice when I walk into their shot, but I occasionally feel like the gym floor can be a bit of a minefield with hard-to-spot tripods. Overall, if you're in north or east Leeds and looking for a gym, do yourself a favour and get to UltraFlex.

Fantastic experience: Great kit, great atmosphere and staff are great

Positive experience: Cant fault the equipment in the gym, Absolutely 10/10. A couple of things let the gym down in my opinion, one of which is the hygiene and condition of the changing rooms. The floor is often wet and grubby, a fair few of the lockers are broken, the hand dryer hasn't worked for about a month and some of the ceiling tiles and framework are bent or damaged. The staff at the gym were always on cleaning the equipment and the weights but it seems that has slipped as well with lots of dust gathered on top of machines and the free weight area. Blue roll holders are never stocked up and sometimes I have to go to the front desk to get any. Finally, the music selection could be much better, theres only so much Eminem and J hus I can hear on repeat. Less angry rap and trap music, more high energy, vibey house music. Music sets the tone and environment for the place.

Fantastic experience: Just joined this gym on an initial 3-month term, but I’ll be extending that for a full year once that has finished. The equipment in here is ace. Everything from Cybex, LifeFitness to Hammer Strength and some of them pieces are from way back in the day, giving it that ‘old school’ feel. It opens at 5 AM as well, which is perfect (for me). All in all, a great gym which is well-maintained and you get much more than you pay for + free parking on site, 10/10

Fantastic experience: I bought a weeks membership to try the gym out. It’s by far the best equipped gym I’ve ever used. The amount of equipment for each body part is ridiculously good. I’ve been training for eight years yet some of these machines are hitting new spots of my muscles. I’ll be buying a six month membership next week

Negative experience: Up on arrival, on this Saturday afternoon, I thought I’d give this Ultraflex a shot. Gym is good, but the Asian guy needs to pick up his skills on how to interact with customers before someone lines up his jaw and was very blunt and arrogant. Plus if you’re going to work at gym, at least look like you workout and show some interest.

Positive experience: Top knotch equipment. If I have to pick a few faults it would be : 1) the heat upstairs is unbearable now its becoming warmer . 2) the toilets have tiny hand pumps for liquid soap which makes no sense.would make more sense to put in full sized dispensers rather than having to use the toilet and realising there is no soap .that goes for the downstairs(ladies) and upstairs toilets.

Positive experience: Excellent gym. Great people. wheelchair friendly but there is no ramp for entrance. There is two steps before you getting in the building

Negative experience: Why pay 50 pounds for a month it's expensive for what the price is and not worth paying for for the experience I've had here at the gym Its like waisting 50 pounds it's a waist of money and useless for me I rather go to a pure gym than spend 50 pounds on uf a month

Positive experience: Great variety of machines/equipment but I’ve been going for a year and they still haven’t invested in a single water fountain?? You have to bother the staff to fill up your bottle of water which is strange as they’ve now got a whole car wash but no water fountain for customers. I think it’s quite silly granted the amount of members and the amount of things that the staff are already doing behind the counter - making shakes, signing people up, selling protein etc

Fantastic experience: Fantastic Gym with more than what you need!! 5 star for the gym and equipment! Best Gym I’ve been to! The cold plunge is great also, showers are great, sauna is okay but it’s a nightmare getting changed, the lockers are too close together so nobody has room if a little busy, could maybe do with more benches in the middle. But other than that I love the gym!!

Positive experience: I only went once, so difficult to say, but if you into body building, rather than purely fineness, then it has lots of equipment specifically for isolating body parts, thus suitable for amateur and professional body builder!

Positive experience: It's always a pleasure to be in this gym. Great layout and plenty of machines to choose from. Toilets need to be checked and cleaned more often due to big volumes of members in and out.

Positive experience: It is an amazing gym when it comes to equipment and facilities. That said, here are my personal gripes. There should be multiple water fountains. Currently you have to ask reception to fill your water bottle. Music is insanely loud so you're forced to listen to it over your own choice of music. Gym etiquette was amazing when it opened but standards are slipping. Weights being left around, antisocial hogging of equipment by leaving it to talk to friends but making sure no-one else can use it. Not de-loading machines. All this is done by a small minority of course but their behaviour spoils it for the majority of the club. For everything else, staff are always polite and professional and the place is always immaculately clean. A honest 3 stars from me.

Fantastic experience: I'm currently working away in Leeds so thought I'd try out UltraFlex Gym. I've been training for 36 years so been in a fair view gyms over the years especially with working away. I'm not sure where to start with this gym other than WOW, I cannot state how good this gym is it's absolutely blown me away. The staff are really friendly as are the people who train here & I can tell you these boys & girls take it seriously. The equipment is state of the art I've never woke up so sore (in a good way) For £50/month you get a lot for your money. Just wish there was one in the north west as I live in Warrington

Beware not to get in their way when they are working out and recording a YouTube video on ‘how to train’ on their tripods lol (only downside) not many massive guys here all small instagram ‘influencers’ who are self proclaimed pt’s; other Ultraflex gyms I have been to have no fault

Positive experience: The place is perfect, and it has all what you need. literally everything you need in 1 place. The place deserves 5 stars, but I'll rate it 4 out of 5 because of the very very loud music. I use a headset with a noise cancellation feature and still the speakers are very loud and some of them are very close to the equipment. it is even difficult to shoot a video with so much music noise. Imagine forgetting your headset and working out in a very loud music place, it would be very difficult to focus let aside ear health issues caused by such loud music.

Only annoying thing is the cold tub in the changing room means the floor is a bit wet but not what I go for so not a bother. If you want to train, there's no better place.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend this gym, It is like a giant playground for grown ups. A lot of machines, plate loaded, pin loaded, friendly members of staff and gym members. Clean changing rooms, theres a barbers, health clinic and a protein flapjack bar at the front. Will be making occasional trips here now and then.
