Top notch atmosphere, friendly staff, understand why such highly rated, would strongly recommend visiting very fair price £7. Boxing ring, good cardiovascular area.

Fantastic experience: I have been training at Muscleworks gym for over 6 months now, and it has been the best decision. The equipment is some of the finest, constantly adding more machines, dumbbells etc. The staff are willing to advise/answer questions. Even just the people who go to the gym are there for you if you need a spot/advice on technique. great community vibe.

Awesome gritty and motivating environment, everything I could have hoped for and manned 24 hours so perfectly convenient to get a 7 euro day pass when needed, especially handy for tourists.

Fantastic experience: What an awesome gym. If you’re in London and want to get in a serious lift, you have to go to Muscleworks. Tons of equipment and free weights and loved the leg room on the second floor. Day passes are £7 and they accept card. Big shout out to the front desk crew who also helped find some solid swag in my size.

Here everybody is polite and respectful - it can get busy and that’s why I find it difficult to go but the equipment is 10/10 and the owner has his heart in the right place he is all about training and strength building not about money making… I’m awaiting my next visit

Fantastic experience: I have been attending Muscle works Bethnal Green for almost 6 years In that time it has become so much more than a gym for me. The staff and the fellow members have become my family. The equipment continues to be improved and the new extension makes leg days a lot better! I work 12 hour shifts so if I train before / after I’m also able to get meals from the gym which makes my life so much easier. If you are working shift work like me, the gym is 24/7 so there is no excuse to not train. If You are visiting London I highly recommend you visit or if you want to step up your training game and become part of the family I definitely recommend a visit!

Negative experience: Beware buying anything from their online store it came with one shoulder longer than the other sent it back immediately they acknowledged receiving it last month but after many emails i still haven't received a refund, complete rip off avoid unless you want to have your time and money wasted

Fantastic experience: Hard to come here and not raise your game. 2 floors just for your leg day. The owner/manager really holds gym goers to account for putting things back and respecting the place. And a really friendly vibe for all the champions and serious trainers you're likely to be surrounded by. That said I've seen ppl of all levels go and seem happy to be there.

Fantastic experience: Best gym in London! The end. I’ve been coming here since the very early days, and every year it gets better and better. Sav (the owner) has fostered a great community of people, puts a lot of investment whilst keeping the costs low. I’ve been working out for 15 years now, and nowhere in Europe has the amount of leg machines this place has. A whole floor (multiple rooms) dedicated to legs!

Positive experience: Old school hard hitting gym. Plenty of equipments, even a boxing ring. Great selection of old and mostly new equipments. Only downside being the shower area hence the 4 stars. Another plus side will be that it's open 24/7 and the staff on duty that I've met so far are friendly.

Positive experience: It's a pretty good gym. The original Muscleworks. Visited for a change of scenery for my deload day with my brother. Proper, proper old school with plenty of pig-iron - spanning two floors, upper on the ground with legs on the first floor - with machines that are probably as old or older than I am. Didn't have to wait for anything, which is always a nice touch! Members seem to have a fair bit of ego, but that doesn't bother me too much. All in all, I'd go back, but the cardio floor is just way too hot & muggy for someone like me who has breathing issues.

Fantastic experience: Old skool iron pumping house! Pros: -Open 24/7 -No nonsense sign up process. Pay & Pump. -Range of machines (they added another dual cable machine!) -Serious vibe. If you come here, you will develop. Atmosphere alone will give you a boost. -Boxing & Muay Thai classes through private coaches. -Pre-cooked meals at a very fair price. -Lots of supplements, pre & post workout for a fair price too. -Gym is very clean. Respect to the boys who keep it hygienic constantly. They keep the gym ticking. -Toilets are also very clean! -Friendly staff. Talk little and smile a lot. Cons: (These are not neccessarily bad things about the gym. Just things to be aware of) -Louder than your normal gym. There are big dudes in here moving mega weight. -Peak times are very busy. -Air flow is sub standard & no AC. Hopefully this is something they can add/improve in the future.

Fantastic experience: Me and my mate are only 16 and visited for our second time .. the front till lady watched us repeatedly fail to pay for a pre workout shot (card wasn’t working) and as well as this, try not once, not twice but three times to pay for a locker and she had immense patience and was happy to help all whilst managing the front desk. She also was kind enough to give me 60 pence at the expense for 3 attempts to close the locker. As we left after a great session, she also made sure we navigated the gym well and asked if we got the full experience as we signed out. Top class gym, top class experience. 10 10

Positive experience: Imagine a dark gym with corridors too narrow for the monstrous shoulders and pathways barely visible due to the sheer amount of machines and weights and you are automatically put off and nervous. But not this gym! Enter a petite Asian female…who was welcomed without a fuss and people readily available to support. Granted I am a PT so I know my way around a gym however even if you don’t, both trainers and other gym goers will help. They even have Cybex machines which, if you understand anatomy, is incredible! My only gripe is that some machines definitely need to be greased and this prevents the smooth motion of the exercise. The day pass is only £6.50 which is unbelievable as big chains with terrible machines cost a lot more. Hopefully, this review will reach both men and women who feel uncomfortable at the thought of a bodybuilding gym and rethink their positions. If anyone understands how difficult exercise and nutrition can be then it is the bodybuilder.

Fantastic experience: Visiting from the US and wanted a bodybuilding gym, this was a great find! Day pass is only $6.50 USD. There’s plenty of equipment (main level chest and back/arms, upper half is a leg room, other half is a boxing room and cardio equipment). The staff were all very helpful, welcoming and friendly! Locker rooms/restrooms upstairs are small, but there’s a womens and mens single stall downstairs too. It was a good environment, hard workers all around.

Fantastic experience: I visited from South Africa, good chaps at the counter there, they allowed a day pass access i think also a few days pass for visitors, neat station to have some Pre before hitting the floor. Locker to store stuff.

Positive experience: Great vibe, everyone super supportive and the energy is unreal. Got every machine under the sun and despite going at the busiest time of day there was almost always free equipment. Two things which could be improved upon though - 1. The Dumbbell rack is pretty messy and it’s a challenge to find the weights you’re looking for. 2. Weights are hard to find with stacks in obscure places and are often just left on bars etc. otherwise great gym would recommend.

Fantastic experience: Here on vacation and instantly felt at home here. As a powerlifter I’ve had trouble finding gyms in London with powerlifting equipment but the setup at Muscleworks is great: multiple squat racks with a sturdy space for deadlifting in front, one combo rack for benching with adjustable height, as well as multiple (fixed height) benches on the first floor. Much better than any other gym I’ve seen in the UK. Most bars are good quality Olympic bars and there’s a couple power bars. The weights are a bit all over the place but there’s enough of them that it’s never a problem. On top of that staff is super nice and the hardworking atmosphere pushes you to do better. Highly recommended over any gym in London as far as I’ve seen.

Positive experience: Been here a few years. In terms of price, vibe and 24/7 opening it is just amazing. Despite the majority of their machines being outdated they still function fine and have such a vast range. Although space is limited my recommemdations: -I would like to see another cable crossover/cable fly machine -Couple more bikes upstairs General recommendations: The lockers suck. 20p for lockers is quite frustrating especially when the gym is very congested. You see some folks walking around with their kit/bag.

Positive experience: Had your heart broken recently? Then this is the perfect place to come and go full beast mode. Proper old school, metal plates kind of gym, equipment selection puts most other gyms to shame. Not quite 5 stars as a fair few bits of kit were broken on my visit and maybe a revamp on the shower area needed, felt like being back in the school locker room , just an open room with 4 showers, not for those who are shy. Once sorted this is easily a 5 star gym. This place might be slightly intimidating for the gym novice.
