Fantastic experience: My “home” gym so I’m probably a bit biased, but having visited numerous other gym group sites I have to say that this one is the best. Never packed out busy, all the equipment is in great order and if it does break then the staff are on it and get it back into use quickly. Always clean and tidy. And the staff are really helpful.

Fantastic experience: This is the best gym I have been a member of. It is big with enough equipment so you are not waiting around. Everything is clean and tidy and the staff are so friendly and approachable. It is open 24 hours and feels safe whatever time I have been. I wouldn’t use anywhere else in town.
Fantastic experience: An excellent amenity and asset to the Ashby area. I go usually once a week then get a Chicken Caesar afterwards as my own little happy ritual. Definitely would recommend giving it a go!

Negative experience: Low quality matrix equipment throughout, no replacement of damaged equipment and long waits for machines to be fixed when they break, ridiculously busy and lots of wasted empty space that could be filled with more equipment to reduce the wait times at peak hours. Also the management team need to pull their heads out of they’re backsides, sending snide emails threatening to ban members for leaving a single plate on a bar is ridiculous and doesn’t foster a good gym environment in the slightest, then getting snotty on instagram messages about it. I know people who have been permanently banned for bringing a bag with them to train and not leaving it in the changing rooms, why would you when you need things you’ve brought in your bag to train. General manager also needs to train harder, how can you be a gym manager and look like you can’t bench 100kg…..

The manager would either politely advise member to return the equipment or they would receive an email. Fantastic experience: After a brief visit where I was given a tour of the equipment and facilities by the site manager I joined the same day on an annual membership, early mornings when I generally have time to use the gym every piece of equipment is free to use. The gym is clean and very well equipped, as its a 24 hour gym it's not always staffed but it feels very secure and I would highly recommend. Just to add the app is a bonus as it shows you the current footfall just in case you want a quieter workout.

Fantastic experience: I joined this gym on 20th Jan 2023. Never really interested me joining any gym being fat, 50 and far from fit . I envisaged a gym to be full of strongman/women/them and I would really look and feel out of place I bit the bullet and signed up, deciding to turn my unfitness around. I enlisted the help of one of the gym groups personal trainers Thomas McAlinden and he identified my objectives and desires and soon had me sweating like a pig in a butchers shop. The gym has every bit of equipment you could imagine, 24 hour access and a pleasant atmosphere, full of what I would call "normal " people.Tom set me a training plan as well as helping with my diet and nutrition and am pleased to report that after 3 months using all the equipment in this well laid out gym, Tom's motivation and my desire to succeed, I have shed 2 stone while slowly building muscle. I never thought I would enjoy a gym so much

Positive experience: It’s a good gym, I particularly go for the classes as no gym round here does anything similar. I would just prefer a warm up and a cool down after every class.

Negative experience: To much open space and not enough equipment at busy times you spend more time waiting to use something then you do exercising vending machines are a rip off tryed it. canceled my membership never going back .

Fantastic experience: Decided to try and get fitter, healthier, etc and saw The Gym Group had opened up recently so I looked at their reviews and I was pleased with them, I then looked at their prices and tbh it’s quite reasonable..cheaper that what I was paying for a leisure centre gym a couple of years ago…so I decided to join up and the vibes of the place felt right. I can get anxious where there is a lot of people and I also get body conscious, but the vibe just felt right and I liked the fact there’s an app to record your workouts and you can see how many people are in the gym at one time including their busy periods…you don’t feel like you’re being judged which is a bonus

Fantastic experience: Brill gym love that it’s 24hr fits in perfectly with my shift work. There’s plenty of equipment and it’s very spacious. The yanga water is lovely with a good variety of flavours- orange one is my fave so far! Only thing I’d say is that it needs more cleaning stations, there’s space for it that’s for sure. Yet to try the classes but I have watched a couple and they look great.

Fantastic experience: I have visited that place a week ago and I was very impressed. Really big area, a lot of room. All equipment is now. There is a lot nice staff to help. Gym is prepared for every exercise start with cardio till body building. It cost 12.99pm but it will go up to 16.99pm after three months. Still cheap. Before you start you will need to download the app. The gym group. You do all payments through the app. Also you can check how busy is the gym. I highly recommend that place.
