Primal Edge Gym - Shipley, Bradford

Fantastic experience: Great gym with friendly staff, lots of quality gym equipment. Always looks very clean and tidy especially in the woman’s changing room, also a bonus having a stand up sunbed too. Would highly recommend

Negative experience: Entered the gym as another member let me in, took a look around and realised it was a dated gym with old equipment. I sat on the first machine and attempted to pay on the website for a day pass which didn’t have Apple Pay and I didn’t have my card. I was told by the member who let me in that someone will be working soon, after I asked what time people start as I was going to pay for the pass direct with a member of staff. A PT approached me and I explained the situation and said can I pay with you. He said yes and I paid for my session. Subsequently, I carried on with my workout. I was then approached again by the same PT who passed me his phone and said my boss wants to speak to you. He told me i am not to train in his gym for free and that he’s been calling my name over the tannoy, which I could not hear as I had headphones on and I explained this. “The boss” still seemed annoyed that I had entered without paying even after explaining the situation. After the call I finished my set and left. What a great way to introduce yourself to potential members of your gym, good luck with your business pal.

Fantastic experience: Best gym in shipley, or possibly in Bradford. Not in Bradford as much nowadays but always try come use this place, staff are very polite welcoming and has all the plate loading top of range machines

Fantastic experience: Dotted around a few gyms in the valley over the years. And this is the best by far. Bursting at the seams with plate loaded tackle on the bottom floor. Recently updated cardio gear upstairs. Always adding bits and upgrading. Proper gym, no B.S!

George goes above and beyond to ensure everyone feels welcome and supported. Highly recommend this gym for anyone looking for a great place to work out with an excellent team.

Fantastic experience: Best gym in Bradford the people are amazing the staff are great and kirean the pt helped me so much I didn't no how to do weights probably he supported me so much thank you the owner is great always makes you feel welcome especially the gym I haven't got a bad word to say they have got more machines than any gym I know the sauna looks perfect the changing rooms are spot on thanks

Fantastic experience: Primal Edge Gym has been a game-changer since I signed up in January. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The 24-hour access is a huge plus for my busy schedule, and the gym offers plenty of room and benches, ensuring I never have to wait for equipment. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a welcoming and well-equipped gym!

Fantastic experience: Absolute gem of a place this, get ya sens down. I've been at this gym for just over a year now and I bloomin love it !!!! Owner, son and staff are quality folk, and very welcoming and friendly. The gym is fully equipped with all sorts of machines, a variety of classes throughout the day, which, again, I love. Personal training sessions, you name it, they've got it and Gary is always updating the gym with machines, plates, chains all sorts, honestly it's one of thee best gym's around Bradford, reminds me of the old skool times, back in the days and it's not full of posers. Cheers !!!

Went here today couldn't say enough positive things. all the equipment are TOP NOTCH! to start it off with and second what is extremely impressive about the place is how clean and well kept the equipment was. Andy greeted us and was amazing through out can not say enough positive things about the place or the staff.

Fantastic experience: excellent , spotless facilities , a great choice of free weights , plate & pin loaded top quality machines, great range of classes , friendly approachable and extremely helpful staff always going an extra mile and infrared sauna for the best recovery !!! Can't recommend Primal enough and I wouldn’t go anywhere else now ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Fantastic experience: This gym is top-notch, featuring an abundance of Hammer Strength equipment, some of the finest I've ever used and with a touch of Panatta for good measure. The atmosphere is welcoming and friendly. It's consistently clean and well-organized, no abandoned equipment in sight. 5/5 for me!

Fantastic experience: joined this gym as it was close to me and haven't regretted it , nice staff and a multitude of equipment some I've not even seen before and it's been nice trying different equipment , I read one review that said the changing room door was open and left negative review , this happened to me once but I closed it wasn't a big deal and I'm still training here great gym cheers guys

Fantastic experience: I can’t recommend Primal Edge highly enough. All the staff are welcoming and really friendly. There’s a large range of machines and constant gym improvements. The gym is very reasonably priced, not overly busy and open 24/7.

Fantastic experience: Been coming here since August, and it's the best thing I ever did. The gym is well equipped with plenty of equipment. Cardio machines, pin machines, plate loading machines, free weights and lots more. It has saunas in both the mens & woman's changing rooms, showers and lockers, The gym is over 2 floors and has a studio too, It has a variety of classes on every morning dinner time and on an evening which are all included in your membership. I was frightened to death starting a gym again after 2 babies but I had nothing to be scared of, everyone is so friendly, and it feels like family now. My little gym family. Best gym around.

Fantastic experience: Great gym. Wanna see what they have to offer, check insta. Former getting new and upgraded equipment. PTs and staff have literally, changed my life and outlook on fitness, see them at the gym and feel like family now. Manned 6am-10am, changing rooms both with saunas and showers open those hours. You want a good old school gym, where you know everyone and the staff actually know what they are on about? It’s primal every time.

Fantastic experience: Sam Hogg, one the PTs is really friendly and made me feel welcome as soon as she showed me around the gym, which is a key reason why I chose Primal Edge over other gyms. It is great the gym is open all the time and it has a very relaxed and friendly feel to the place. I had never had a PT before, so I was very nervous. However, Sam Hogg has made me feel comfortable and she pitches the sessions to be challenging but still enjoyable and realistic. She is always so upbeat and positive which is a real benefit and inspiring. I recommend Sam as a PT, especially to anyone like me who was nervous about going to a gym and starting to do strength training. She is easy to contact and responds quickly too.

Fantastic experience: What a gym they have every machine you can think of, has a strong man area. Around the gym it’s clean and tidy Staff are always second to none Brilliant gym felt welcome and part of the primal family Would highly recommend You visit or join

Negative experience: The gym is nothing like advertised, it's small, run down and in dire need of some TLC. The "changing room" are open constantly as are the shower cubicles so don't expect privacy. To top it off they don't answer phones and rob you!! Avoid at all cost!! Edit: as you can see from the reply home truths they don't like, ignoring the truth and lying they do. Just so you are aware I have been to plenty of gyms in my time and never had an issue at all, I'm currently at a fantastic one not far away that is more expensive as that isn't the issue. The issue is your gym is run down and needs repairing and pretending that isn't the case won't help, neither will your attitude.

Fantastic experience: Was in Bradford for a wedding this weekend and used the facility for a day. Reasonable price for a day pass considering the gym is equipped with some excellent equipment, very friendly atmosphere and a service with a smile.

Fantastic experience: Edit.. I've been coming here,several times, every week for 18 month s now and it literally is the BEST gym... And the people inside who are working so hard make it a really motivating and positive place to be! The PT's are fantastic and are always willing to help you. Cannot recommend it enough if you want a well equipped, clean but most of all friendly and supportive gym. Great friendly place, really helpful and has great facilities for women as well as men

Fantastic experience: Everything you need in a gym, first time their today after changing memberships from another gym. It's clean, well maintained and the variety of equipment is almost endless! Highly recommended for such a small monthly fee too. Soon to be a 24 hour gym too. Most important thing, everyone racks their weights back

Fantastic experience: Love this gym. Although reluctant to go initially as I viewed it as a 'mans' gym, my opinion changed as soon as I had a look round. The team are friendly and super helpful and the machines and equipment are really high quality. Following the most recent lockdown, the gym has expanded and there is now an upstairs studio section for classes as well as a full cardio area with (believe it or not) fantastic views across the valley :-)!! I would, and regularly do, recommend this gym to everyone and for everyone.

Fantastic experience: Really good gym, the best i've seen in the Shipley / Bradford area by a long way. I signed up when they opened as i was looking for higher quality equipment than what my old gym was providing. Not only was the gym already better equipped from the beginning, but Gary and the team are constantly looking to enhance the gym and add more equipment and grow the range of machines / facilities. At least 10 people i know are now using Primal Edge after i recomended it to them, a proper working mans gym where people go to get results.

Fantastic experience: Fab gym. Loads of plate loaded equipment, racks and pressing stuff. With some outdoor strongman bits too. Edit - they have added another floor of equipment, weights machines, cardio, spin and self serve classes and a great view too.

Fantastic experience: A local gym consisting of various high quality equipment ranging from cardio to weights and resistance machines, whilst constantly introducing new types of equipment to suit the needs of members. Friendly staff who are happy to help any concern, along with professional personal trainers who are widely available to help you reach your fitness goals and track your progress of sessions and diet - whether you are a beginner or experienced.

Fantastic experience: Gym is great overall. There is tonnes of equipment and lots of additional weight. It's also new so it's never really busy at the moment. Staff are really knowledgeable as well. This gym is definitely geared towards body builders and power lifters but also a great start for newbies.
