Negative experience: Would give 0 stars but can't. The gym will never get finished. Advertised as 24 hours with use of sauna and ice baths which they do not have. New equipment is already missing parts and not serviced. As for the way they rip you off not letting you out of a 12 month contract which was never agreed on is ludicrous. If you have sense then please never set foot in this place, nothing but problems.

Negative experience: If I had the chance I would give 0 stars When I initially signed up, they promised me 24 hours, 6 weeks passed and they were still not open, every time I called they said they would get back to you. They are not interested, all they care about is money. I definitely do not recommend it

Fantastic experience: Probably one of the best gyms I’ve ever visited. With my job I’ve probably visited upwards of 50 gyms across the country. Some vary rare equipment that majority won’t know how to use. Great gym staff too!

Fantastic experience: One of my favourite gyms, feels like a place Rocky would be proud to train in enough committed members, staff and kit to inspire your inner beast, clearly built by a legit champion for whom fitness is a way of life, not just another franchise or corporate cash cow. Also the fact that I can bring my 13 year old son means a lot to me, the culture at platinum obviously takes fitness seriously enough to invest in our future generation. Just wish it was closer.

Fantastic experience: Best gym I’ve ever visited!!!! The staff were very welcoming and the equipment exceeded my expectations immediately compared to other gyms I have visited. There was also a vast selection of supplements available from protein, pre work outs and BCAAs, I highly recommend this gym if local or just in the area on the off chance like I was.

Fantastic experience: In all my years alive on the planet, I have never been in a gym of this caliber. Its the best gym I have ever been in, or visited. It has absolutely everything you can imagine, from traditional, 'old school' whieght training, in the room at the back, a strength and conditioning room in the middle , and the highest quality equipment from the moment you walk through the door! There is great parking, music, and the most important thing, the warmest, friendliest, and most helpful staff you could ever wish for! It does not matter what age or fitness. The staff and members are so kind, encouraging, supportive and non judgemental , for where ever you are, in your fitness journey. There is always a member of staff with exeptional qualifications on health , nutrition and fitness, always easy to find, and the P.T. prices are really reasonable and great value for money. There are lots of different P.T.s to choose from, to suit whats best for you, no matter where you are on your fitness journey. I fell in love with the nutrition shakes and recovery shakes, they sell in- situ at thier amazing bar, and there is a membership pricelist, with several options, to suit everyone! The shower & locker room was exceptional. Its all ground floor with great accessibility for anyone with physical disabilities or injuries. Its the first time in my life I found a gym I look forward to using every day! Who would of thought all of this was tucked away in Newhaven. 5 stars? More like 10! 1 in a million! Thankyou so much Platinum Gym!

Fantastic experience: Visited the gym using a day pass whilst visiting the area. The range of equipment was incredible, staff were friendly and inviting - I’d definitely recommend. One of the best gyms I’ve been in.

Fantastic experience: Been going for 3 weeks. Great variety of machines in the front area and the back area is huge with all sorts of equipment to train on. Always clean and friendly staff. Have taken 2 of children down there and they have found it "has a really good vibe" and would to go more.

Fantastic experience: I have been a member of approximately 16 gyms over the last 25 years and this is the best if the lot. Privately owned and the owner is on hand most of the time. No equipment stays broken very long and there is an ENORMOUS range of equipment. Richard ( owner) is passionate about his product and he makes all his clients feel welcome and valued.

Positive experience: As an observer, not a partaker, I have not before seen such an extensive array of modern gym equipment. Clearly geared to those who a serious.

Positive experience: It is okay, the people are friendly but not for me. The Sauna is not hot enough and time limited. If you want to use the Sauna for an hour and half for instance, they regulate it for half an hour and it goes off and you just have to depend on the warmth left in the room.

Fantastic experience: I had my first session with a personal trainer at this gym today. Must say I was mighty impressed. Just about every bit of fitness equipment know to man. Friendly, knowledgeable staff and polite fellow gym users. Never once made to feel out of place, and the ladies changing area was lovely. I highly recommend anyone looking for a gym should pop in and have a chat about your fitness goals and with your first session being free what have you got to loose?
