Originally based in Swindon, we found our current home in 2016 and have expanded from a 4 station room to a multiroom facility with all the equipment needed to either start or progress your powerlifting journey.
We have also focused heavily on improving strength sports in the local community from afterschools clubs, college clubs, inclusive clubs through Swindon Council and special education schools to enrichment days and much more.
We pride ourselves on not only providing some of the highest quality coaching you can find but working hard to make strength sports accessible to all.

Fantastic experience: Swindon Barbell is a brilliant club with a team atmosphere that can't be found in commercial gyms. Every session you are training with a coach and with friends that all have a shared goal and support each other. I joined the club 2.5 years ago, after becoming interested in the sport training in a different gym. Charlie helped massively helped me improve my lifts and train to competition standards. Since then, Charlie has supported me to compete both in national and regional competitions and has supported me to achieve some regional records. Now I am returning after having a baby and Charlie is supporting my post-partum return to powerlifting. The club caters for all different levels of lifters at different stages of powerlifting. Can't recommend the club highly enough :)

Fantastic experience: I’ve joined the team about 9 weeks ago and it’s undoubtedly the best decision I have taken in my fitness journey- which is evident in my progress. Charlie is an incredible coach, her clear and direct feedback had been a vital addition. All the club members are supportive, respectful and super encouraging- and I have learnt so much just by observing other lifters! P.s. We have dogs to cuddle in between sets.

Positive experience: I went to support my son who was taking part in a competition. It was rather cramped and not much parking. Everyone was friendly and the facilities were good.

Fantastic experience: Amazing place to train with an atmosphere you just can't get in commercial gyms. All lifters and staff are respectful and polite. The equipment here is also unmatched, anything powerlifting related this place will have!
