Fantastic experience: I joined Studio Twenty3 as a complete gym novice. Matt has shown me the ropes and continues to be very supportive and encouraging, all whilst we have some great conversations. He has guided me to exercise properly and use the equipment with confidence. Fantastic experience: So glad I joined studio twenty 3! This is the first time I have actually been consistent with exercise, and it’s made such a difference to me mentally & physically. The team are all great! Everyone is so friendly and welcoming! Most of my sessions are with Joe, and I couldn’t recommend him enough! Always pushes me to do more, and I feel confident to do so when he is always there to support and make sure you are doing each exercise correctly. He’s always in a good mood which helps motivate you on the days you’re not necessarily in the mood to exercise! Jamie is also great, such a good buzz in his sessions & everyone is able to have a good laugh with him! Since joining in May 2024, I am now 2 stone down and can’t wait to keep getting stronger with help from the team! Thank you Studio Twenty 3!!

Fantastic experience: S23 has been great for Issy and I. I joined nearly two years ago and since then it’s really helped me cover a lot of areas of my health and fitness. I’ve learnt a lot and been really pleased with the progress. Issy used the services to help get back into shape and now she’s back playing competitive badminton. The team are great and tailor the sessions to any specific needs, and are never short of enthusiasm, advice, support or the occasional nudge when they know you can push a bit more. It’s a great community and I would recommend to anyone.

Fantastic experience: After finishing a sports science degree I lacked a few qualifications specific to my career aspirations. As a result completed the level 3 course at StudioTwenty3 in hopes of perusing a role as a personal trainer. The course was really well structured, fun and I was given all the guidance to not just get the qualification but feel confident in being a PT. On the back of completing the course, I was offered a position to become one of the Trainers at the studio. 7 month down the line and I’m thoroughly enjoying my job and I’m able to make an impact on others thanks to the support of ST23

Fantastic experience: I was new to the area (moved from overseas) and didn't know anyone. I shopped around for a gym (saw many huge impersonal ones that were very intimidating) and then happened upon Studio Twenty 3. The coaches were so kind, welcoming, approachable and knowledgeable, I knew this was the gym for me. My year in England was not lonely at all because of the community of people that go to this gym. The coaches are very knowledgeable, kind and have a great humour. The other clients were all very welcoming with similar values (wanting to keep healthy and active). We had so much fun in the classes and it made a huge difference to my mind, body, and soul. I will miss this wonderful community of coaches and clients. Thanks for an amazing year in England!

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend StudioTwenty3 at Chandlers Ford highly enough! My personal trainer, Hannah, was absolutely pivotal in helping me achieve my fitness goals. She listened to my body's needs (hurty knees), tailoring each session to ensure I was challenged yet comfortable. Despite my ongoing dislike for that stupid step onto a box exercise, Hannah's encouragement and expertise kept me motivated and progressing. The entire team at StudioTwenty3 is fantastic. Their passion, skills, and abilities shine through in both personal and group coaching sessions. I am very grateful for their unwavering support and dedication. Fantastic experience: Really enjoying my journey with ST3. Did 1-2-1 and semi private as well. They truly listen to what I want to achieve and they support me by knowing where and when to push me. I also like the private environment as it gives more opportunity for personalisation and building confidence. It isn’t intimidating like a large corporate gym/PT. Ellie has been particularly amazing but I had the pleasure to work with Jamie, Matt and Hannah as well and I feel they all have their clients at the centre of their focus.

Fantastic experience: I've been coming here for personal training for nearly eight months now. It's been great fun and I've gained strength, size and overall fitness thanks to the excellent coaching and guidance from Matt who has created a tailored and varied program for me. Fantastic experience: I attended a series of PT sessions at StudioTwenty3, as well as a couple of SPPT sessions. The staff were great - knowledgeable, helpful, patient. The facilities are excellent. I highly recommend StudioTwenty3.

Fantastic experience: I've been going to for a couple of months now for PT sessions with Joe. He's great, very friendly and always quick to adapt the sessions if I have any injuries that week. He will also change up the routines and exercises to keep it interesting. He also helps with basic nutrition goals and sends me workouts for at home and on holiday based on the equipment available.

Fantastic experience: What a difference! I came to Studio Twenty3 thinking I just wanted to lose weight, to be healthier. I had a consultation with Ben and he started me on a training plan to build muscle. My weight is actually about the same but I've dropped a trouser size, put muscle in my shoulders and arms and my tee shirts all fit! Its a great team, Ellie and Joe who i currently train with are spot on and give me tips on nutrition, protein and keep training fresh so its always fun. I would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Was looking to get fitter and loose weight but wasn’t sure the best way to go about it. Best thing I have done! Getting guidance with nutrition and plenty of exercise and knowledge. Every session is different and enjoyable. Gareth, Matt, Jamie, Ellie and Joe have all been fantastic. Fantastic experience: I really like the fact that the sessions are all set out for me so I don’t have to think about what I’m doing (particularly when I’m sleep deprived from the little one ). The trainers are all so friendly and are more than happy to go through everything with me. Having only done long distance running and no weights previously I thought I would find it a bit intimidating but it’s not been at all. Just generally a really lovely and fun atmosphere!

Fantastic experience: In September 2023 I contacted Gareth as saw a post online offering a personal level 3 course. I attended Saturday workshop where the trainer Jamie taught us everything we needed too on the job 40 hours of workshops we had an awesome time learning the fundamental compound moves we had a laugh and made new friends along the way too which is nice we had my friend is also attend the new workshop and I’m gutted I can’t re do the course again The coursework on line was easy and able to complete was very interesting and learnt a lot doing work books if you got stuck Jamie was always the other end of the line to support you if you have any route don’t it the best move I ever made a month after qualifily I’m Working for my self got 7 client if it wasn’t for studio twenty 3 support and fun learning I wouldn’t be where I am today thank you Gareth Jamie and the team ❤️

Fantastic experience: After abdominal surgery I wanted to get fitter and stronger so once signed off to exercise I found Studio23 through a friend, it seemed a good fit as I knew a big gym was not for me. This was definitely the right decision and the team have really helped me develop my confidence to exercise again. It was confusing at first not knowing what exercises were right for me but after chatting through my concerns with Ben, he came up with options and solutions to create a programme that worked for me. I would highly recommend these guys if you have any concerns over getting into fitness at any age or fitness level. Fantastic experience: The sessions are inclusive, varied and expert led. The PTs adapt and support regardless of fitness level/ability/injuries. The PTs are really patient and if like me you need a bit of accountability, they will motivate you when you're not feeling able to do so yourself. The groups are friendly, we always have a laugh and it's always nice to see new faces.

Fantastic experience: Having started training with Studio twenty 3 to try and regain my fitness, I have been genuinely amazed at the progress I’ve made. The personal approach but inclusive feeling of small group training has pushed and motivated me since day one. Then I suffered a football injury, couldn’t train but had check-ins and support from the trainers and group. Honestly the best coaching, education and support I could have asked for and I didn’t even ask…….. To top of off, we started family training with my 12 year old and she’s already hooked. ST3 are, without doubt, the coaches for everybody

Fantastic experience: I joined Studio 23 in January, earlier this year. I cannot recommend the team more highly. Joining was really easy and Gareth was really great at explaining the different options; parking is close; easy to book and swap sessions yourself and you can communicate with a coach 1:1 to get guidance. I joined to get support with an injury that I have had for a while and wanted to strengthen it to go back to playing netball. Not only am I now going back to netball but also staying as a member here because the sessions have been great. Ellie and Hannah's sessions have been very enjoyable and a huge thank you to Matt who has been great in supporting and pushing me in the sessions. A fabulous team and business all round!

Fantastic experience: I did my Level 3 PT course last summer with Studio Twenty 3. I did my diploma in Sports Science 15 years ago and I wanted to refresh my knowledge with the Studio Twenty 3 PT course, which was great. I also learned more about about strength training. Andrew provided the course content really good. I liked that we had to research many topics ourself as I think that way you consolidate the knowledge even more. Fantastic experience: I recently completed the CIMSPA certified Level 3 personal training course, and I must say, the experience exceeded my expectations... The course curriculum was well-structured and covered a wide range of topics, including anatomy and physiology, nutrition, client assessment, program design, and business skills. The instructors at Studio Twenty 3 were knowledgeable and passionate about their subjects, making the learning experience engaging and enjoyable. One aspect that stood out to me was the emphasis on practical application. We had numerous opportunities to practice our skills in a gym setting, working with real clients under the supervision of experienced trainers. This hands-on approach allowed us to gain confidence and apply the knowledge we acquired in a real-world setting. The course also provided valuable resources and materials to support our learning. We had access to textbooks, online resources, and practical manuals that further reinforced our learning. The trainers also regularly shared relevant research articles and studies, ensuring that we were exposed to the latest developments in the field. Overall, the thorough knowledge of human anatomy and muscles, hands-on learning opportunities, diverse teaching methods, and comprehensive resources made this course stand out. It provided us with a solid foundation in exercise science and equipped us with the necessary skills to become effective and knowledgeable personal trainers. I am grateful for the comprehensive education I received during the 'practical' 10 weeks, the teams expertise in human anatomy allowed them to provide valuable insights into injury prevention and rehabilitation. They taught us how to identify common muscle imbalances and weaknesses, and provided practical strategies to address these issues through targeted exercises and stretches. The knowledge and skills I gained have given me the confidence to work with clients of varying fitness levels and goals. I am confident that the skills and insights gained will significantly contribute to my future career as a personal trainer. In the short time since completing the course (Spring '23), I have actually built and now run a side business from home personal training clients, helping them reach their fitness goals in a professional and safe 1-to-1 gym environment. Fantastic experience: I love the classes at studio 23. At the start of the year I had lots my fitness mojo and there always seemed to be a reason why I couldn’t fit a class or run in. Joining studio 23 has been brilliant. The classes are pre booked, parking’s easy and there’s no reason not to go. The classes themselves are run by a team of excellent instructors, all so knowledgeable and generally excellent people as well. Having never done any strength training, I was nervous but the culture of the classes is so supportive, I immediately felt comfortable. Six months in and I can see and feel huge benefit, as much for my mental health as physical. I am so pleased to have found studio 23!!!

Fantastic experience: I recently joined StudioTwenty3 after seeing their 6 week challenge advertisement, I had no experience of using the gym and had a couple of old injuries from playing years of badminton. My personal trainer Ellie has been very professional, giving me exercises tailored to my needs and level, with lots of helpful advise and building up my confidence. I am nearing completion of my challenge and can already see my body shape is improving. When Ellie was on annual leave, I had replacement trainers Hannah, Charlie & Jamie and want to say what a fabulous team the studio have, they have all been amazing to train with and I look forward to continuing my sessions after the challenge has finished.

Negative experience: This is a PT crash course, it takes 10 weeks, 10 lessons to become a fully fledged "PT". This is not enough time to gather the required knowledge, creating unsafe PT's. As a PT who has done years of study I can tell you this is unsafe. We deal with people's bodies, health and well being and is a far more complex job then people think it is. You wouldn't crash course a doctor, psychologist, mechanic or electrician because this would injure and hurt people, being a PT is no different you cannot fast track the amount of knowledge needed unfortunately. I think this way about all PT crash courses not just this on in particular.

Fantastic experience: I joined Studio 23 in January 2023 and haven’t looked back since! The whole team are simply amazing. My Personal Trainer Matt is really supportive and is always there to help with any questions I have and to give me any extra encouragement I might need. Fantastic experience: I started here just before Christmas, returning to exercise after a knee injury. I have been delighted with the support and professionalism provided by the trainers, particularly Matt who encourages me each week and always makes me smile. Fantastic experience: If there’s one thing you should do for yourself, it’s becoming a member of Studio 23. It’s the most professional, encouraging, friendly team I’ve ever encountered on. I trust them totally, knowing they are constantly checking for correct/safe body positions whilst training as well as giving enough encouragement to push me to achieve my best potential. I feel so much more energised, toned and have even lost some weight since starting in January. The weekly check in’s from your PT are great for keeping you motivated.

Fantastic experience: I started my sessions at Studio Twenty 3 at the beginning of the year. I'd gained weight and felt very unfit and fatigued. I was really unsure how I would get on in the gym and felt really nervous to begin with. However I have had such a positive experience. My trainers are Matt on Monday and Charlie on Fridays. They are both Fantastic and make the sessions a fun and supportive environment. I really enjoy coming here !

Fantastic experience: I am really enjoying my sessions at Studio 23. The instructors are welcoming and supportive and it feels like a good vibe with a good tribe, even on the days you dont feel like it- you always feel better afterwards. Everyone cheers each other along. The classes are small and personal .Having direct access to a Personal trainer has really helped me build my own confidence and form whilst using the equipment in a safe and progressive way. Fantastic experience: I have been training at Studio 23 for over 6 years. I usually train with Hannah and Ben , both who are complete legends. They have always worked round my various small but irritating injuries , sometimes having to adapt whole sessions to accommodate me, which I really appreciate, as it’s kept me being able to keep coming to the gym. You get a real personal service with Studio 23 and I train with lovely people in my small group training sessions.

Fantastic experience: Have only been going to StudioTwenty3 for 2 months but I already feel like a different person I have more energy, sleep better and have MUCH less cravings. I have even toned a bit! All the trainers are fun, enthusiastic and very very motivating. They adjust to our niggles and pace, but they make us sweat for sure! Fantastic experience: I joined up at Studio 23 around 6 months ago. I hadn't done much exercise since pre-COVID and felt unhealthy and unfit. The classes are structured in a way that enables beginners to experienced gym goers to get the best out of the session. All of the other clients I have met have been very welcoming and friendly. I have worked with all of the PT's and can honestly say they are a fantastic positive team who are able to deliver challenging workouts for all levels which help with strength, conditioning and cardio. I have worked with a few different PT's in the last 10 years and the ST23 team are the best I have worked with. My physical and mental fitness has massively improved since training at ST23. If you are looking to get back into fitness or are just beginning your journey, i recommend giving ST23 a go, you won't be disappointed!

Fantastic experience: I've had fantastic support from Matt and his colleagues at StudioTwenty3, with improvements to my fitness and strength that I can really feel. I didn't want to embark on strength and weight training without knowing how to do it properly and effectively, and with Matt as my PT I had expert, professional advice, tutoring and care right from the start. He is proactive and always encouraging, and knows how to help you surpass your own expectations of performance. I greatly appreciate the way he constantly observes, asks how I feel, and makes adjustments to my programme to keep progress on track. Matt is generous with sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm on a range of fitness-related topics, and I have learned a lot. I've also been fortunate to have cover sessions with Jamie and Ben, who had full details of my programme and progress, and these sessions too were brilliant, fun and friendly in the StudioTwenty3 style. Fantastic experience: Matt was my PT at studio twenty 3 and I cannot speak highly enough of him. He is an excellent PT that took me from absolute zero fitness levels to hitting the gym 3 times a week on top of my once a week PT session. He helped me get started, tailoring my fitness plans as I progressed. Responding to my needs, comments, preferences or if I had any injuries that week. He also helped me with understanding what my calorie intake should be and why as well as setting my protein, carb and fat macros. The service he provides extends outside of the sessions you pay for, having the ability to message him when I needed to was invaluable, he would always get back to me giving me the advice I needed. Matt has helped me achieve my fitness goals and overall I’ve lost 15kg, I couldn’t have done it without him. Set yourself goals and he’ll help you smash them.

Fantastic experience: Studio Twenty 3 is a fantastic studio. Everyone is friendly, understanding, motivational and responsive. Gareth runs a great business and is always happy and available to answer questions or assist. The trainers work to fit each session to your needs, and regardless of who you have, they're all equally qualified and excellent. Fantastic experience: I was recommended by a good friend to join ST3 because I needed help both physically and mentally. ST3 seemed to have experience with similar people of my age (60). I was impressed by the thoroughness of my initial phone consultation. At my first session, they really probed to understand my fitness goals and understand my past injuries. I go twice a week for an hour class with 4-6 people, who also help boost and drive me to work hard. Over the last 6 months, the results have been amazing! I have dropped 2 dress sizes and I couldn’t be happier. ST3 is a safe, friendly and supportive environment which focuses on keeping workouts fresh and challenging. Fantastic experience: Not just a gym, but a great place to work on yourself with the guidance of professionals. I joined Studio23 after a few years of declining fitness and Health, both in part due to COVID lockdown and a bad mindset. Requiring Physiotherapy to deal with these issues, I resolved to solve these issues before they occured again. From initial "interview", Solo sessions and Group sessions, the team at S23 have been fantastic in supporting me and my goals, at my own pace as well. I see large improvments in both mobility and strength, Noticable Muscle growth but more also a great boost to my moods and drive to just be active and do things.

Fantastic experience: I have greatly benefitted with the training at Studio Twenty3. I started the workout to bring my health parameters like weight, BMI, Cholesterol under control, over the course of 4-5 months training at Studio Twenty 3 combined with a healthy diet has helped me achieve my goals. Strongly recommend enrolling here to keep yourself fit and active. Great set of personal trainers, who also guide on nutrition and overall health aspects.

Fantastic experience: I decided to go to Studio 23 after suffering a sports injury and being out of touch with fitness for over a year. I was paired with Matt who was able to structure a great plan based around the ability I have with my injury. Not only week after week did I see my strength and confidence building but also gaining knowledge on how each exercise was helping me. Overall a great experience and I look forward to getting back to them to continue my rehabilitation.

Fantastic experience: I was in need of a fitness boost so I signed up for 6 weeks of small group personal training. It was everything I wanted and more. I needed the discipline of turning up to regular training sessions, and I actually began enjoying going to the gym twice a week. This has made me feel fitter, healthier and stronger thanks to good workouts and a good group of friendly people wanting to train with me. Excellent work from great coaches Hannah, Jamie and Gareth, for pushing me to do more. Thanks to you all for creating a great vibe and a great place to train!

Fantastic experience: A gem of a place. Can’t recommend the small group training enough. The sessions are tailored to your needs and the small friendly groups and instructors are motivating. Each session is a “good hard” and personalised to individual capabilty . And the instructors are good craic - any mid session moaning/whinging is handled with good humour (and ignored) and they keep you motivated. At the end of the session, I’m always feel I have worked at the right level.

Fantastic experience: Studio 23 isn't just a gym, it's an amazing experience and a fantastic education on how things should be done. The instructors are the best in the business, incredibly skilled in what they do and so professional. Every session is so well planned, just turn up, get stuck in and you will feel the benefits. Fantastic experience: I signed up in July 2021 after realising I let myself get out of control becoming over weight and unfit. From the very first meeting with Gareth I felt comfortable about choosing studio twenty3 and couldn’t wait to sign up. I then got paired with Andy who has been extremely supportive from the moment we met and has encouraged and pushed me to get to where I am now. It’s now been 11 months and I’ve lost just over 6 1/2 stone, or 44kilos. It’s made a massive change to how I feel and look, giving me more confidence and feeling so much healthier. It’s changed how I think about fitness so much so that I signed up to the studio twenty3 academy to learn to become a personal trainer, which I’ve now also completed. To anyone wanting to get in shape and become healthier I couldn’t recommend studio twenty3 highly enough.

Fantastic experience: I joined Studio 23 in January initially to get ski fit after breaking my foot in November last year. I was worried about getting the most of my precious 1 week skiing after spending 6 weeks on crutches. The team used their expertise to adapt the training to my healing foot and got me to the mountains. This is just the start for me, as I can feel my previous enjoyment for exercise return after losing sight for several years due to family and work pressures.I am LOVING IT! I have never done resistance work and am enjoying learning a new skill and seeing great results in my strength, tone, weight and over all well-being. Thanks to the amazing team for all their support and encouragement, I’ve never enjoyed the gym, but this is so much more fun! Can not recommend them enough.

Fantastic experience: I joined Studio 23 because I was looking for a smaller Gym where I would get workouts to suit all aspects of fitness I felt at a mainstream gym I would always head for the bike, or cross trainer, unsure of how to approach strength training. Since joining ST23 I have become stronger physically and mentally, I have more confidence in my approach to fitness and tackling new exercises with the support and encouragement of the great PTs. The small group training sessions of up to 4 people give everyone an opportunity to interact with the coaches who will help you to adapt or make minor adjustments to specific exercises if you need to, This helps prevent stress and strains of unsupervised training, as the coaches always have a watchful eye on your form. I also enjoy the support of the other people training, it feels like family. You get to know a great bunch of like minded people, and friendly coaches who make it not only a great workout but an enjoyable hour, leaving you feeling that you’ve achieved a little more each time. I would encourage anyone looking for a personal approach, who has maybe lost enthusiasm to come along and give ST23 a try, 2 1/2 years on I still find each of my 2 a week sessions an enjoyable challenge, that I miss when I can’t get there.

Fantastic experience: I joined Studio23 as my trainer, Ben, moved there from another gym after being furloughed. I followed Ben because I trust him and he really understands what I want to achieve. As an older lady I realized I need to keep active and healthy, and Ben helps with my weight training. Ben is also happy to include some boxing at the end of each session which I really enjoy! I realized during lockdown that I didn’t need all the facilities at my previous gym to stay fit. I had managed to lose weight on my own during lockdown by watching the calories and completing Couch to 5K. Studio23 is a small gym which is ideal for me as I much prefer 1 to 1 training rather than groups. Studio23 also does small group training. If you are looking for a friendly, non-judgmental place to work out I would definitely recommend Studio23.

Fantastic experience: With a combination of having a shoulder replacement and lockdown, the only exercise that I could was walking. As we eased out of lockdown I needed to get back exercising. I was very apprehensive due to my shoulder so booked some personal training sessions. Andy was great and we slowly built up the weights, reps and intensity of the training. After 8 sessions I then felt ready to join the Semi Private Personal Training sessions. I really enjoy these sessions. All of the trainers are great, encouraging and tailor the exercises to your ability. I’ve met some great people and feel so much fitter and better about myself. I’d definitely recommend Studio Twenty 3.

Fantastic experience: I joined Studio Twenty3 after seeing an advert on Facebook challenging people to 'lose their lockdown bods'! Like lots of people I put on weight during the pandemic and was fed up of my clothes not fitting, my waistbands feeling permanently tight and feeling generally wobbly and unfit. I'm quite a reluctant gym goer and decided to sign up because I knew it would be good for me, not because I enjoy exercise and because I knew I probably couldn't achieve the results I wanted without some help. I started with two PT sessions a week to build up my confidence and basic fitness and then moved on to two semi-private classes per week with the same trainer, Hannah. 4 months later and I've not only lost weight, but I've toned up and changed shape so I can now fit into clothes I haven't worn for several years. Yes it's hard work and every class pushes you but it hasn't taken long to see results and for me to feel fitter, healthier and more energetic. Most days I'm reminded of the change, like not getting out of breath when I go up the stairs at work anymore! The best thing about Studio Twenty3 for me is that the classes are really small (up to 4 people), you get a far more personal service, the exercises can all be tailored to accommodate injuries and differing abilities and you don't have to motivate yourself to work out because the trainers do that for you!

Fantastic experience: I've been attending Studio since April 21 to improve both my mental and physical health. Gareth has a great team and the friendly personal nature of the studio encourages me to come back each week. Hannah is very supportive doth during our PT sessions and with checking in to check progress and wellbeing.

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend Studio Twenty3 to anyone. It doesn't matter where you're from or what previous background you have had, you can come here and learn all you need to know about becoming a personal trainer. They focus both on individual feedback and group feedback and the group 'vibe' is always lovely. You can be yourself in a great focused yet comfortable environment. There is no feeling of being 'judged' just the feeling of acceptance and knowing you can ask questions and push yourself out of your comfort zone safely. The team are brilliant, I had Andy as my tutor as he was awesome. They really do support you through both the theory and practical as much as they can. I'm so glad I did my training with Studio Twenty3, couldn't recommend enough. If you're thinking about doing it... just go for it, you won't regret it!

Fantastic experience: Would definitely recommend studio twenty 3 as a great facility for achieving not only your personal fitness goals but also learning and developing the skills and qualifications to become a qualified personal trainer. All of the staff are friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about their role. Ben's teaching style is based on experience and knowledge and is presented in a relaxed easy to understand way.

Fantastic experience: I used the services of studio twenty3 from Nov 2019 -March 2020 when I unfortunately had to stop through lockdown. I found the team here to be thoroughly professional and as a lady going into a gym was slightly nervous but Gareth , Aidy and the entire team were so welcoming they put me totally at ease. Aidy was a great 1on1 trainer and listened to my areas of concern and worked me hard but within my limits. Had it not been for the challenges of 2020 I would still be going and I cannot recommend the team here highly enough.

Fantastic experience: A great personal training studio - not intimidating as some gyms can be! Gareth was welcoming and gave good advice on my initial appointment. From there I had weekly PT sessions with Jimmy, initially in the studio and then via Zoom during lockdown. Jimmy is friendly, professional and encouraging - I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this studio.

Fantastic experience: Gareth and the Studio Twenty 3 team have trained me in the past but due to relocation I have missed the gym experience. The lockdown brought with it confusion and an anxiety of missing exercise, on top of that I had found out I was pregnant with my second child. Knowing I needed to gain strength from my living room I turned to Gareth's small group training sessions. Sessions are intimate and tailored to those in front of him. Form and technique are not sacrificed and the atmosphere generated in the sessions is due to Gareth's repoire with his clients and evidence-based knowledge that leaves you confident in what you are doing, whether that be normally or pre-natally. His free HIIT session on a Thursday evening is testament to his good-will and commitment to fitness. Joining the small group sessions has benefitted not only physical well being but my mental health too. Thank you, highly recommend whatever your fitness goals may be.

Fantastic experience: Gareth at Studio Twenty 3 and the team are fantastic. I have trained with them a few times in the past and due to moving area had to stop. However, I have followed his instagram account as he provides helpful, practical tips from a researched based back ground and also those bits of exercise motivation we all need once in a while. When the lockdown happened I went from playing a lot of team sport to almost no exercise and lost most of my motivation to keep fit. When Gareth said he was taking his small group training onto Zoom I was a little sceptical that I would get what I needed out of it. I could not have been more wrong. I have now been doing small group training via Zoom with Gareth for the past 3/4 weeks and I feel fitter, stronger and more motivated in not just my exercise regime, but all parts of my daily life in these tough times. I am especially impressed with the amount of variety the sessions provide, keeping it interesting and motivating. I cannot recommend Gareth and the Studio Twenty 3 team enough; professional, motivating and an all round top class service. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: I started at Studio Twenty3 in September 2019 after encouragement from my husband as I was not feeling great about myself. I typically have not liked a gym environment because I felt uncomfortable but pushed past my insecurities and went for a trial session and loved it! Since that point I have lost nearly 6kg, increased my strength (I can now squat with weight rather than struggle with just body weight), increased my confidence, improved my diet and eating habits and ultimately had fun in the process. What you get at Studio Twenty3 is so much more than a trainer. You get someone to push you, understand your health niggles and flex your routine to suit, give you nutrition and diet advice, support you, set achievable goals that become routine, and importantly hold you to account. The sessions are so much fun and all of the team and clients are friendly and supportive. Gareth even has an uncanny skill of checking in on targets when you are reaching for the chocolate and the cake! Whatever your fitness goals, if you want support in achieving them and have fun then book a session with Gareth and his team.

Fantastic experience: The team at Studio Twenty 3 have been fantastic in helping to improve and support my fitness journey. They are very knowledgeable and really push you to work hard but in a friendly and fun way! I was anxious about doing 'weights' and whether I'd be able to lift weights etc. But they really empower you and make you surprised at what you can achieve! I have got fitter, stronger, more toned and feel healthier and more energised thanks to their help!

Fantastic experience: I've been going to Studio 23 for nearly 10 months and have never felt fitter and stronger. There's no point doing exercises badly and there's no point joining a gym and never going. With Studio 23, you are closely watched to make sure your technique is perfect and you are given the motivation to keep coming back. The programs are catered to your personal goals and you are pushed hard enough for you to notice the difference in a matter of weeks.

Fantastic experience: I was pretty skeptical about personal training (mostly because of the expense) but I have to say training with Gareth at Studio 23 has been worth every penny. The weekly motivation of knowing i'm going to be weighed keeps me on track with my diet and the intense hour work-out is re-shaping my body. Somehow Gareth knows exactly how much to push me - how many rep's, how much weight on the dumbbell - to take me to my maximum capacity and unlike a group class there's no hiding or faking! It's a really nice environment to train in - cool, clean, good equipment and whilst the music is sometimes questionable, sometimes it's alright too! I've also started using myfitnesspal on Gareth's recommendation, bought a fit bit and am doing 3 big hits of exercise a week. So far i've lost half a stone in three months, but hey, slow and steady wins the race apparently!

Fantastic experience: Once upon a time there was a fit, active, sporty young person then along came a stressful job with long hours, a small person and a busy life and before she knew it nearly 20 years had passed and she was overweight and unfit. Then Studio Twenty 3 came into her life; a small, friendly gym and an excellent trainer (that's you Stu Mac) in Small Group Training alongside a beginners running course run by the gym started her on the journey to reverse the decline. Yes, it requires you to put the effort in but Studio Twenty 3 will be with you all the way...encouraging, motivating and pushing you....and admirably ignoring all the whingeing but that's fair since she ignores Gareth when he becomes the alcohol police ;-) And they all lived happier, healthier and fitter lives ever after...….

Fantastic experience: Having been going to Studio Twenty 3 for nearly 4 months I thought it was about time I wrote a review! I had always been a bit wary of 1-to-1 personal training, thinking you had to be fit already, or training at a high level for a specific sport. But I was proved wrong after finally coming down to the Studio for a trial session. Straight away Gareth was very welcoming and introduced me to my PT, Ryan. On my first session with Ryan he sat with me and discussed my goals, previous experience and any injuries. From the first session, it was all tailored to exactly what I wanted to achieve. I trained with Ryan for 3 months, twice a week. Thanks to his support and experience I saw progress which really surprised me! The sessions were challenging without being ridiculous! Ryan pushed me and motivated me to go harder and stronger than I thought I could, his support was not 'shouting and screaming', it was positive, and I genuinely think he wanted me to well just as much as I did! After 3 months, Ryan moved on to take a teaching job and I started training with Ellie. Straight away she took over where Ryan had left off, and I have continued to see improvements. She has a very relaxed style and continues to push me with encouragement and varied sessions that keeps me highly motivated. I really look forward to my 2 sessions a week, and genuinely enjoy spending time with everyone in the gym, it's always a relaxed atmosphere with everyone encouraging each other along. I'm not a typical gym goer, and alwasy felt self conscious in a public gym. Gareth has created a gym where I am 100% comfortable being there and has an amazing group of PT's that all want you to succeed. My only regret is not starting sooner!!

Fantastic experience: My 1:1 personal training sessions with Gareth give me an escape from a stressful job and busy lifestyle (the latter being self-inflicted of course!) Our sessions are intensive, enjoyable, exhausting and humorous, and help to clear my head of the outside world whilst improving my health and wellbeing. But my programme does not stop when I walk out the door ... far from it! Gareth gives me a daily workout I can do at home plus reminds me of the importance of a well-balanced diet, so much so that last week he gave me a copy of "Clean Eating Alice" full of nutritious, healthy recipes. Anyone for Blueberry and Avocado Breakfast Muffins?

Fantastic experience: If it works for me it will work for anyone! I am a big middle aged guy who really doesn't look like the 'gym type' which is why I was asked today "Why do you train?" My answer was that whilst enjoy the finer things in life I need to balance that with looking after my health. 18 months ago I was on medication for high blood pressure and high cholesterol. I am now now, thanks to the team at Studio Twenty3 medication free. I am also stronger and more flexible and proud of my achievements and the progress I make every week. This is not your average gym (which is just as well as I am not your average gym go-er) I have trained along side all shapes and sizes and even though I am overweight (less so than when I started), I have never been made to feel uncomfortable or unwelcome. There is a great camaraderie between trainers and customers and you get a genuine feeling of warmth and a desire to help you achieve your goals from the team. If you think the gym is not for you but you want to be healthier, stronger and more flexible with encouragement from people who care and don't patronise you but celebrate your progress with genuine pride then look no further. There are no crowds of Lycra clad gym bunnies looking down at you or sniggering if you don't look the part , you really only ever train along side 1 or 2 people and you soon start to think of them as friends. So why do I train? Because thanks to Studio Twenty3 I actually enjoy it!

Fantastic experience: I have been a reluctant athlete most of my adult life and never made the time to exercise against the demands of work and family life. I also suffer from bad joints and chronic apathy for all things fitness related. I have however come to quietly enjoy my sessions with Stu and the team at Studio Twenty3. I drag myself there when their diary alert tells me to head to Chandlers Ford but after a solid 60 minute workout I am always pleased that I made the effort and pleased with the improvement I have seen in my strength and flexibility in each session and since I began the programme. There's always great humour bouncing off the walls much of it directed at my truculent participation. As a reluctant athlete you wouldn't get a recommendation from me if Studio Twenty3 weren't delivering and making a difference to my wellbeing.

Fantastic experience: This is a great training studio (well equipped and clean) with a personal atmosphere where clients and trainers have good banter and people of all shapes, sizes, ages and abilities are supported to achieve their goals. I have trained here for nearly two years and in this time have worked out next to people in their golden years, youngsters still in education and everyone in between - with all levels of fitness. I had a reasonable level of fitness when I joined (I was a runner) but I have learned SO MUCH more about how to condition my body and develop my strength since working with the team. Now I can lift heavy weights (and am not intimidated by them), can do chin ups, handstands, and swing from the monkey bars :-). My Osteopath has even noted more than once how much better my lower back , knee and neck are these days and I put it down to the training. All injuries have gone away and I didn't stop training when I had them, Gareth just worked out what I needed to do and adapted my plan. Learning more about nutrition and the impact of what I eat on those pesky few pounds and last few cms I wanted to lose has also been a bonus. The trainers are great role models, they know what they're talking about and advice is gently offered (for us to take or, leave). I took it and have seen the cms melt off. Happy Days! :-) I have had personal trainers before and have never made as much progress or been as well coached as I am now.

The studio itself has all the equipment you could ever need and the trainers are highly motivational, friendly and knowledgeable. I used to go to the gym on my own but never saw the results that I've seen while vising Studio Twenty 3...they push me harder than I ever pushed myself and I feel fitter and stronger than ever before. Fantastic experience: I love training at Studio Twenty3 I initially started training to lose some weight for my daughters wedding, which I achieved with the help of my one-to-one personal trainer. 25 months on & still going strong! I now do 2 SGT sessions a week sometimes 3. As the saying goes ..Rome wasn't built in a day! My hard work is paying off I am 100% stronger now than when I started, I have muscle definition in places I didn't even know there was muscle. and most of all I enjoy it! You don't have to be sporty to get fit! You just need a few good trainers to show you how. The trainers at Studio Twenty3 are amazing, they will help and guide you through all aspects of your training , Nothing is too much trouble. No plans on giving this up any time soon.

Fantastic experience: Studio Twenty 3 is a great place to get fit, push your limits and learn about nutrition and health whilst doing it. I look forward to going to small group training each week and feel stronger, fitter and with better posture than I think I have ever been. It's now a year later. I'm focussing on running and our group training sessions have been helping me to gain flexibility, strength and aerobic fitness to support that.
