Fantastic experience: If you're nervous about joining a gym then you should look at this place. It's very relaxed, the trainers are highly professional and knowledgeable. I'm no gym bunny but love it here already. If you're in the Ashby area, thinking about joining a gym, then check these guys out.

Fantastic experience: Over the years, I’ve visited countless gyms, but without a doubt, this one stands out as the best. Let me tell you why. The equipment is modern, the space is filled with natural light, and there are plenty of free weights—features you might find in many gyms. However, what truly sets this gym apart is the incredible team that runs it. From Simon, the dedicated owner, to Marcus Blanka and Connor, along with the rest of the staff, their passion for their work is evident. They greet everyone warmly without being intrusive and are always available to offer assistance and answer any questions. Such genuine, caring service is as rare as it is refreshing. Truly brilliant.

Fantastic experience: So grateful for this welcoming gym - and for the amazing FR team. Relaxed, informal vibe, refreshingly not intimidating. Genuinely welcoming of a wide variety of people of all ages and stages, whatever their health and fitness goals. Staff are approachable and supportive. I joined aged 50 when I was training for my first half marathon, I’ve stayed because it’s worth every penny.

Fantastic experience: Started there in November. The staff is so helpful and friendly, helping with the workout plan or advising how to use equipment properly as I didn't have experience. Love attending classes, helped me with my anxiety and mental health a lot, let alone with my body . Now I'm looking the best I ever did in my life. Thank you Fitness republic!

Fantastic experience: This is a great gym, all of the equipment is well looked after and there's plenty to do, all of your training will be backed up by a solid sound track, if you don't want to have headphones in, and the instructors are always on hand to help you if you need it. It's good to be going to the gym again

Fantastic experience: I joined FR at the start of this year. It can feel a bit intimidating joining a new gym but I can’t express enough how friendly and welcoming everyone has been from the moment I first walked in. Nothing is too much trouble. There is always someone around to help if you’re ever unsure about anything. I love the classes too. The booking app is so easy to use. The times and variety of classes are great. I always go to the 6.30am spin class on a Monday which sets me up for the rest of the week. The gym opening times are fantastic. I can get there for 5.30 in a morning, do my gym session and be home ready to start the day ahead. Alternatively, I often go in an evening. There’s such flexibility so it works well around my job and other family commitments and so there’s never a reason I can’t get there. I’m also having classes with a PT which are amazing. I’ve lost weight and toned up but also, I feel more importantly, it helps with my mental health just as much as my physical health. I absolutely love it!

Fantastic experience: I have been using Fitness Republic on and off for a number of years. I have recently renewed my membership and just like the times before, I was made to feel very welcome. All the staff and other gym users are all very friendly. Fitness Republic has a family feel. Always staff on hand to help and support my journey. I never feel like i’m being watched or judged. Definitely the best gym i’ve used. I try and access the gym early morning due to work commitments and the 5.30 lam opening times are very helpful for me.

Fantastic experience: I've recently renewed my membership for the 3rd year running now. Fitness Republic absolutely rates up there as the best Gym I've been a member in over 25 years of training. The staff certainly pay a huge part in this top rating review I'm giving, always on hand to offer help, advice and support with no questions asked or judgement made. On top of the excellent staff, the equipment is always kept tidy, clean and in great working order. It certainly has a friendly feel and family atmosphere at FR and they make sure they cater for everyone, be it for newcomers to a Gym environment or to more experienced trainers, everyone gets treated equally. They have some great classes on offer too that run everyday of the week at various times, something for everyone to get involved in. Keep up the great work guys and thanks for all your help and support so far.

Fantastic experience: As someone who has avoided the gym for many years due to generalized anxiety disorder I have finally found a gym I feel comfortable at. All the staff are warm and welcoming, making you feel at ease right from the very beginning and are always on hand to help you. To ensure I get the best results and get the most out of my gym experience I decided to work with a personal trainer once a week. Best decision I made, Connor my trainer is absolutely brilliant, he caters your fitness programme so it suits your needs and fitness goals. During sessions he demonstrates and explains everything clearly so you understand how to use all the machines, equipment and how to do the exercises correctly so you get maximum benefit. He is incredibly patient (especially with my uncoordinated self) supportive and pushes you in a positive way motivating you to do your very best. So yes highly recommend, the whole gym just has a real positive friendly vibe about it.

Fantastic experience: I've recently built up enough courage to go back into the gym with my husband. It's a lovely, friendly atmosphere I've not experienced before. I really struggle with anxiety, so it may not look like I appreciate it when the staff ask if I'm okay but, I do. Will definitely renew my membership after I've recovered from my operation this week.

Fantastic experience: A really great friendly gym. All the staff are so lovely, supportive and helpful. Being unfit, overweight and in my fifties I was really nervous about walking through the doors. I had absolutely nothing to worry about. I was given an introduction session and program to suit me with a follow up session 2 weeks later introducing me to more exercises and equipment. I’m just loving it!! Really proud of myself

Fantastic experience: Have recently started using the gym to have 121 personal training sessions with Blanka. The team there are lovely, everyone is really kind and friendly and makes you feel welcome. There is plenty of good equipment in to get a good strength training workout in and am looking forward to continuing working with Blanka and getting stronger.

Fantastic experience: I’ve never been a gym goer always felt self conscious and out of place exercising but Fitness Republic have definitely changed that for me I started with Zumba classes which I love and then tried lots of different classes all the staff are great so friendly and all get to know your name I am on a long road to my fitness goals but with help from all at Fitness Republic and my personal training sessions with Blanka I am for the first time ever (at 56 years old) loving the gym and seeing the results and it’s all thanks to everyone at Fitness Republic for being like one big family and making me feel so welcome Thank you all xx

Fantastic experience: The old gym i went it in Ashby made me so uncomfortable and when i decided to go fitness republic it was one of the best decisions for my goals. The staff are very welcoming and friendly, and suit your needs when in aid of help and the equipment is all there for you. Fantastic experience: I have been to a few gyms previously and never returned. I think being comfortable in a gym helps with how you feel in yourself and your effort you put in. Since joining fitness republic I’ve felt nothing but welcome and comfortable. Everyone is so friendly and willing to answer any questions you may have or even show you the ropes. From doing Spin classes with Blanka and her beautiful personality - to multiple classes with Jackie and her amazing beaming smile - which is enough to light up any room, to having PT sessions with Connor and his energetic encouraging attitude. They are all so lovely. I recommend anyone who wants to try a gym to go here first X

Fantastic experience: I can’t recommend the Fitness Republic team and the gym itself highly enough. The team are so supportive and friendly and are there when you need them but also let you get on with it if that’s your preference. My daughter, husband and I are all members and we absolutely love it. It’s spotlessly clean and I know we’re all looked after. You even get 7 day pass to try it out first! Just awesome.

Fantastic experience: I absolutely love this gym, every single member of the team is supportive and friendly. The gym caters for everyone with lots of equipment within the gym and then a huge variety of classes throughout the week. I am not particularly confident in the gym but the programmes set by the team (which are regularly reviewed) help me to make the best of my visits. They also offer regular personal training sessions which are absolutely fantastic. I can’t recommend Fitness Republic highly enough.

Fantastic experience: Fitness Republic is an amazing gym! It’s family run and has a real family atmosphere. I am not a natural in the gym, but I’ve always been made to feel more than welcome. Staff members regularly check on me and ask if I need any support. As a result I feel confident in recommending this gym to anyone! In fact, my 15 year old has joined with me and the team are swiftly helping her become more confident in using the equipment AND herself. Thanks Fitness Republic

Fantastic experience: Fitness Republic is unlike any of the other gyms I have been to. They have a real focus on community and well being over body image. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. The staff are both friendly and well informed and eager to help you train and work out effectively and safely. The gym itself is well equipped with all the latest gear such as arc trainers, stair masters and new treadmills. There is an excellent selection of barbells and dumbbells There is a great range of classes from BoxFit to Zumba and Yoga, I have only done a few myself but they look fun. Like most gyms they have a number of Personal Training plans on offer and after having taken a number of sessions myself I lost over a stone in weight over the course of 8 weeks and felt amazing, For me is the sheer cleanliness of the place. After having been in a number of other gyms in the area I can honestly say that Fitness Republic is immaculate. Highly Recommended

Positive experience: Have been going to FR for years now. Love the atmosphere and the staff were friendly from the very beginning. Always happy to help with either nutrition or work outs. They now have an in house physio who goes into the gym to show you correct workouts when required ( not used him but have spoken to gym / physio users not staff). Lost out on a star purely 'cause sometimes the music is too rave/ duff duff which I hate. But everything is great. Would heartedly recommend.
