The equipment, space and facility itself are second to none, but to be honest, it's the staff, the team, the members and sense of community that keeps me travelling 30 minutes each way 5 days per week. You have gyms that are simply a building full of equipment, then you have YourGym, which is much more than that. If you're looking for a home from home, where you're made to feel like much more than just a direct debit, this is the place...

Fantastic experience: Tried lots of gyms. YourGym is the only one I’ve stuck at. Lucy Gardiner is a fantastic PT (as are all the other PTs) The gym is always clean and tidy with the latest and greatest kit. Keep it up guys!

However, as fantastic as all those things are, it is the owners, managers and staff that are central to making Your Gym the best in the country. Each and every one of them strives to ensure that every member is welcomed into the ‘Your Gym Family’ and that he or she is supported to achieve their potential, regardless of age, ability or fitness level. Nothing is ever too much trouble and every query or request for help/support is greeted with a smile and a friendly, but professional and knowledgeable response. Positive experience: I have been an on and off member of YourGym for several years. In the past I have really loved it here, and found it good value for money. However, over the past couple of months the number of members has increased, and there is usually at least 1 class ongoing which results in limited space and limited equipment to use in an evening. During one gym session, I found a space to workout upstairs but was rudely told off by the yoga instructor for being too noisy for her class next door. Since then, when a yoga session is on the other room on that floor is off limits to prevent noise complaints from the instructor. Personally I think this is a ridiculous solution. Finally, last month I received an email saying that membership prices were to increase. I emailed back on two occasions stating I don't find it fair that we will be paying more for a poorer service but unfortunately received no reply Overally, I don't believe the gym is great value for money. However, most of the staff here are lovely and genuinely interested in helping you achieve your goals. Classes have a very inclusive atmosphere!

Fantastic experience: The gym is well designed and spacious, and never too busy as it has plenty of equipment. The machines are top level and all brand new. Parking is never an issue and staff are pleasant. My only gripe is the mens changing rooms. Unfortunately too small and the showers very awkward with the doors.

Fantastic experience: I joined Your Gym Lytham on a 12 week programme after 20+ years of telling myself I hate gyms. While I don't yet love being in a gym, Rob and his welcoming team have not only helped me overcome my reticence, they've managed to get me to almost enjoy being out-of-breath and sweaty. Through the 12 weeks they've helped me build better habits, better nutrition - which has meant any soreness goes away quite quickly and even I have noticed the difference in my body, mind and energy levels. My goal was to be stronger and more flexible, not to lose or gain weight. They listened and designed my nutrition and exercise plans accordingly, particularly my water intake which is now consistently 3L per day! I exercised, in the weekly PT sessions, with a consistent group of people who were mutually encouraging and there was the option to be part of WhatsApp and Facebook groups. Now, at the end of the programme, I can see a difference in me and their fancy weighing machine assures me I've added muscle mass, lost fat and visceral fat, am more hydrated and weigh slightly less. If I were less confident, I'd say it can be a little overwhelming at times - especially the size of some of the units preening around and some of the outfits leave you wondering where to look politely however, all in all, a good place and I'm glad I did this for myself (and my children). I've even been doing workouts at home and found myself doing lunges while boiling the kettle so...must be something in it.

Fantastic experience: Loving Your Gym in Lytham! Everyone is so friendly and the instructors are lovely and knowledgeable. They push you to do your best and are really supportive. I'm really enjoying all my classes but in particular Steve's spin class - so challenging but totally worth it ☺

Fantastic experience: Very impressed with the team here. Good mix of classes in the gym when not in lockdown and also online during lockdown. The equipment available is varied and never had issues getting to use anything. The team are supportive but not overbearing so you can be as involved as much or as little as you want. I've also been impressed with the approach to all round health and wellbeing, yoga, life coaching etc. Would definitely recommend no matter your level or goals.

Fantastic experience: Your Gym Lytham is superb. The management team actively engage with members and ask what we love, what we'd like to have at the club and what they could do better. As a direct result a range of classes have been developed to enhance our experience, skills, strength and expertise. We have a series of Build Classes which equip us to be confident and expert on the gym floor. Rounds and metcon have high intensity, pace and friendly competition and team work injected for rapid results. The gym floor has had yet another upgrade to Panatta equipment. The quality, flexibility and range of machines is incredible. Induction for the new equipment is bookable through the app. Wellbeing, belonging and community are massive at the Club. We have Bootcamps, Hikes and Social Events including a Christmas Ball and monthly book club (in a local gastro pub). The staff are exceptional. The management team have built a team of professionals with shared clarity of goals and values. They give their all for the members, every single day, and the members feel valued. Your Gym really is My Gym as a member.

Fantastic experience: We were only here for a short time before having to move house but we would have loved to stay longer if we could have. It is clean, well kept and has a relaxed yet vibrant feel to it. The staff are friendly and seem to genuinely care about the place, and the gym manager is excellent and is always willing to help if needed. Highly recommended.

Coming in as a newbie all the instructors were so warm and friendly and made me so comfortable. They have customers at the centre and really listen when it comes to class timetables, outdoor classes and competitions/challenges. Wouldn’t recommend anywhere else!

Fantastic experience: Really friendly environment, which can't always be said for most Gym's, but what sets these guys apart is the help they offer. Rob in particular was excellent. Can't recommend them enough!

Negative experience: Might be better once they expand but for price its tiny double the price of preston gyms equipment is Brill tho all new stuff it's very poser gym felt awkward in their as I'm not a gym bunny and have weight to lose

Fantastic experience: I have been going to 'gyms' for decades now, both in the UK and Internationally and I have to say the atmosphere at Lytham 'YourGym' in comparison to most, is great. The staff are professional and always greet you with a smile and ask how you are. Rob has also been very flexible and understanding, illustrating the 'human' side to the general attitudes at the gym. The classes are plentiful and numerous, the equipment is varied and more than ample to attain whatever level of workout you require. I especially like the separate upstairs area where you can focus on your own workout if your not into lifting weights! The team at Lytham have got the balance just right, they are not overly intrusive, but are there for you should you need assistance. Well done, and keep it up!

Fantastic experience: Without a doubt the best team of personal trainers around and the range of brand new equipment is incredible. All made even better by the amazing atmosphere. They even have a cafe serving nutritionally balanced meals, protein shakes and healthy drinks / snacks which compliment any routine perfectly. Memberships are very reasonably priced and there are some amazing sign up offers to boot! Lytham St. Annes has been crying out for a Gym of this level and we finally have it.
