Negative experience: I booked a massage session for today, paid in advance, and even selected a specific time, all through their online system. I traveled all the way to the location, only to be told that my booking wasn’t for today! Instead of taking responsibility, they casually told me to come back on Tuesday. What a joke! They clearly don’t care about their customers. I wasted my time, energy, and travel expenses, only to be turned away. This kind of unprofessionalism is unacceptable. If they can’t manage their bookings properly, how can they be trusted with anything else?

And also very clean and air conditioned, great toilets and changing space and lockers, 10/10. You get your moneys worth here considering a lot of other studios don’t offer as much.

She has this very positive energy about her, her classes are always great. Her aura leaves you feeling great about yourself. She really is good energy. I would highly recommend trying it, don’t be shy to start here. They are so friendly and understanding towards newbies. Recommend Gina!

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend this studio enough and I’ve been raving about it to my friends since I first started going to the Elephant & Castle branch a few months ago. The Pilates and hit classes have slotted nicely into my weekly routine, and I always feel so energised and the best version of myself when I leave the studio. The instructors are so knowledgeable and really take their time to explain each exercise. It doesn’t go unnoticed that they truly care about each student getting the most out of the class, in particular Simge, Shannon and Demi! They’re so lovely and a pleasure to be around. Thank you for making me fall back in love with exercise!

Fantastic experience: I love this place - and Reformer Pilates, obviously. I’ve had my first class ever here, and am hooked. An avid (but at the moment slightly bored) runner, I wanted to try ‘proper’ Pilates in addition to rolling out my mat at home, and am amazed by the variety, intensity and cleverness of the Reformer movements. Exhausting yet strengthening, challenging yet relaxing, and perfectly thought through.The studio is amazing, feels very calm and serene, and everyone is friendly and smiley and really helpful. Easy online booking system, very conveniently located at Elephant Park, wonderful changing rooms with everything you need. Go and try it out, I highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I've been going to Tempo 301 since 2022 and have loved it since Day 1! The instructors are amazing (special shoutout to Sarah and Jessica!!), super knowledgeable and make working out FUN!! They make every effort to get to know you on a more personal basis and remember the spring choices and injuries each student has to make sure everyone remains safe while still trying to be challenged outside of their comfort zone. Can only speak positively also about the rest of the instructors and girls at the front desk who are lovely and always greet you warmly when arriving at the studio! Fantastic experience: I normally go to the Shoreditch branch but recently I’ve been going to this branch for the convenience. The changing room is spacious and the lockers already have a lock so no need to bring my own. Receptionists are friendly and the classes I’ve been to, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed. One of the things I love about Tempo on the whole, is the friendliness and helpfulness of their instructors! Only qualm I have is, the reformer studio was abit dusty in my last class so bits were transferred from my socks to the reformer whenever we stepped off and onto it.

Fantastic experience: I love Tempo301 and have been coming to classes (both pilates and more recently HIIT) for about 9 months now. I remember being quite intimidated by reformer pilates at first, but I could not have been more wrong. The instructors are friendly, encouraging and really challenge you. Their bundle packages are also great value and I appreciate that they have a number of different levels of pilates for you to move up to as you get stronger. I now go to classes 3 times a week and will be continuing for the foreseeable!

Fantastic experience: I've been coming to Tempo 301, for around 2 months now, and I love it! Was quite nervous coming in as a newbie to the world of pilates but found it very inviting and welcoming. Every time I see progress within myself, and love how encouraging all the trainers are! Highly recommend this studio, and also Sarah's class, very motivating and challenging.

Fantastic experience: After recovering from an operation, I decided to buy a block of one-to-one sessions. I thoroughly enjoyed these and I really think the sessions enhanced my recovery. I then decided to continue and I now do 2 to 3 group classes a week. I now love, reformer Pilates.

Positive experience: If I were to rate the fascilities, staff or the classes it would be a 5* plus -they are great. However, this rating is for the website and this would be a zero but I do not want that to reflect on the staff at SE17. Tempo 301 has the worst website I have ever had to deal with and even the team on site have struggled. It is a huge struggle to navigate the website, does not accept your voucher codes and convoluted to book anything. I find it so terrible that it puts me off buying passes multiple times. A real shame because the website drastically lets the studio and great team working inside.

Fantastic experience: I have been coming to TEMPO 301 since it opened and could not recommend this studio enough. The level of teaching is amazing and you can see and feel results after only a couple of weeks. Everyone is super friendly and helpful and always on hand to answer any questions. The HIIT classes are also excellent with interesting and low impact exercises. The studios are very spacious with lovely changing rooms. Could not recommend TEMPO enough!!!

Fantastic experience: Tempo 301's HIT classes are *great* Super fun, really rigorous & great energy. I've watched my body get stronger over the last year and that's pretty much down to them. Jonathan is a brilliant instructor! So lovely and really pushes you. The front of house team are also lovely - Jazz is so good at her job & I always feel super welcome and at home. Thanks guys.

Fantastic experience: Have been to Tempo 301 for both Pilates and massage and can say both are really brilliant! I've seen Tonia a couple of times for a full body massage and can confidently say she's one of the best therapists I've been too, I walk out feeling like a new person!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to HIIT classes here regularly since 2022 and can’t recommend them highly enough. I've been to HIIT classes all over London and Tempo's are by far the best - they have absolutely nailed the format. The atmosphere in the studio is really warm and inviting, and the trainers and reception staff are lovely (shout out to Hakeem). I especially like Saturday morning classes followed by coffee at Little Louie, around the corner.

Fantastic experience: I really enjoy the Pilates classes in this studio. Sarah is an amazing teacher, she adapts the exercises to the students abilities so that everyone could push their limits. I personally see the difference in my body strength and shape.

Fantastic experience: Love Pilates classes at Tempo studio in Elephant Park with Sarah. I always find the class well run and organized, and Sarah is an awesome instructor who really knows how to put you at ease and put you through your paces too! I appreciate the clear verbal instructions, hands on corrections and technique adjustments, as this helps me get the most out of the class. Amenities-wise, the studio uses the compact space well and has a modern, well ventilated, relaxed set up. Importantly, equipment is sanitized between classes. The Reception team are equally helpful and friendly. They have been accommodating when I had to freeze my package due to injury and were kind enough to allow a late cancellation as a goodwill gesture. I feel they try and work with you on an individual level, rather than just applying blanket protocol, which is a much appreciated personal touch by the studio. Thanks team for a great experience overall! See you in class soon!

Fantastic experience: Tempo 301 is brilliant. All of the trainers are excellent and they're really knowledgeable about adaptations for injuries. More recently they have been very supportive and informative around Pilates in pregnancy. Highly recommend!

The classes are fantastic, varied and challenging. My fitness changed entirely over the time I have been attending and in a safe way for those with back problems. The studios are beautiful inside, and always spotlessly clean. MASSIVE shout out to the teachers who are so skilled and get to know you personally. The offers to bulk buy classes are super-reasonable (albeit one-off pilates can be quite pricey). Massages are expensive, but well worth the money. Facilities are great and staff are lovely.

Fantastic experience: I've just moved back to London and I've been looking for a reformer studio to attend regularly - I have definitely found the one with Tempo. Lovely studio in a practical location with such great facilities - loved the ghd straighteners available ! I had Jess as my instructor and she guided us through the class so clearly. I am also just coming back from an injury and she made sure to accommodate me for that by offering alternative moves when needed. The beginner's class was a little high intensity but my body felt so good afterwards and you can go at your own pace. Also must note how lovely the receptionist was (blonde bob) - could not have been more welcoming for my first time. Will definitely be back , thank you ! xxx

Fantastic experience: I really like the studio and its stuff. I only attend classes with two teachers and they were both kind, patient and the classes way above my expectations. There are many slots and levels that makes easy to progress. The two girls at the entrance Eleanor and Shyanne, are very resolutive and helpful every time I have an inquire. Hope everything stays as well as it´s being now :)

The studio itself has great amenities and the online booking portal is well designed. It’s got a great local feel which sets it apart from other large Pilates studios. As a regular attendee at Tempo, I can wholeheartedly say Deinny is my favourite instructor. Her personability shines in every session, making each participant feel valued and understood. The unique and inventive routines she crafts speak to her immense creativity, ensuring that each class is a fresh experience, engaging and never samey. Deinny’s extensive experience is evident in how she guides each class with precision, allowing every participant, whether newbie or veteran, to get the most out of their session. What sets her apart is not just her exceptional professionalism but her genuine way with people. For anyone looking to embark on or continue their Pilates journey, Deinny is the one you'd want by your side.

Fantastic experience: My introduction to reformer Pilates was at Tempo 301, and I've never looked back since :) The studio is a lovely, calming space and the classes always challenge you in the best way. The chill music during class is a plus. I'm yet to come across a better reformer studio in London. All the instructors here are great and take an interest in correcting postures and seeking feedback after class. My favourite instructor is Deinny Reyes, whose class I try not to miss! She has motivated me to push myself in class, and she always brings something new to the routine every time. She has a positive energy and remembers small things about students :)

Fantastic experience: I have been doing reformer pilates at Tempo E&C for almost 2years and I can’t recommend it enough! It’s a non negotiable in my week and is a huge help in my strength training and Circuit sessions. Despite being group classes, Sarah always makes individual adjustments so I never felt like I was hitting a plateau, if anything I have definitely improved a lot due to that!

Fantastic experience: After not a great start with a massage I booked, the studio manager invited me back for a massage with the lovely Gemma. The massage was thorough and left me feeling less tense, relaxed and very satisfied. The studio itself is nicely designed, very aesthetically pleasing which is always a bonus. I'm yet to try out their HIIT classes - looking forward to that!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely enjoy my classes here at Tempo 301. My Pilates journey started with Gina last summer who is amazing! I've noticed improved balance, strength and flexibility. I currently attend 2 classes a week with Sarah who is just the kindest and supportive instructor. The classes give me the right amount of balance between encouragement and challenge and thanks to her I feel more confident in myself and my fitness. The whole team is wonderful - highly recommend Tempo 301 to anyone thinking about starting Pilates!

Fantastic experience: I was very pleased to find this studio right next to home. It’s difficult for me to commit to a gym or think of what workout to do. With reformer pilates or HIIT, I simply need to show up and the rest is taken care of. I’ve tried both classes and recommend trying a few with different instructors to see whose style best suits you. My favorite are Sarah May for pilates and Ahmed for HIIT. Different packages allow you to choose your own pace/frequency. I personally go for the 5-week expiration as it forces me to commit to at least two classes per week. The locker rooms are well kept, with all the toiletries and equipment you’ll need to walk out ready. The only improvement I would recommend is the user experience of the website. I’m more familiar with it now, but it can be confusing for new comers. If a class is full, you have the option to book it but you’ll be on the waitlist so you need to make sure if you’ve actually booked a spot or waitlist.

Fantastic experience: A little gem in Elephant & Castle! Fun but challenging classes, brilliant and upbeat instructors, lovely front of house staff and nice, clean facilities. It has a welcoming and accessible feel to it that many other gyms and fitness studios lack. Highly recommend it!

Negative experience: I’m afraid to say that this introduction to Tempo 301 was not one that I care to repeat. After booking an introduction session to join some of our friends doing the same, we showed up to the session only to be told that we were on the waiting list despite that information not having been shared with us beforehand when we booked our spots for that specific class. Whilst the class had 4 empty benches we were told to wait 5 minutes as that was usually the cut off for latecomers and that we could join if there was space. We weren’t overly keen with that idea but understood “officially” booked people taking priority for 5 minutes after the class starts (in theory as that time was not respected - and based on other reviews doesn’t seem to be respected more widely). We enter the room and start the session embarrassed that we are 5 minutes late, but the instructor very kindly takes us through the equipment as it’s our first time and we are excited to start. Right as we begin the session 2 more late arrivers enter the room taking the last 2 benches. It is now a full class. Just as we make it 5 minutes into the start of the class (making it 10 past as we were let into the room late) my partner and I are asked to leave as one person, who was 10 minutes late at this point, has arrived. Even though we were told the cut off point for late arrivals was usually 5 minutes by the receptionist. Silver lining is that the class wasn’t counted, but in all honesty, we aren’t even sure if we want to come back after such a messy, and quite honestly embarrassing, first impression. The class having been interrupted three times by late comers and twice by ourselves being let in late and then being asked to leave. If you take timeliness, and a straightforward and clear booking process then don’t bother

Negative experience: My partner and I signed up for a first time experience with our friends at the Elephant and Castle location. When we purchased our spot at 1pm on 16/10 there was no indication of a waitlist. We were just given the opportunity to purchase two spots for that class and join our friends. We were also excited to try it out to see if we would like to incorporate it into our fitness regime. When we came to class we were told we were on a waitlist but if we waited 5 minutes we could join if there were no-shows. This was already a bad experience because we would be joining the class and our friends late despite showing up to the class on time. We were then told we could join but that we would be asked to leave if at any point the no-shows showed up. We asked if there was a cut off in which people won’t be allowed to join the class and we were told yes and that was 5 minutes after that start of class. So we decided to join. We were all set up and beginning the class on the reformer when the no-shows showed up and were allowed to enter the class after the cut-off point, further disrupting the class and also our experience. One more person than the current capacity showed up and then we were asked to leave the class. We were told we could still use the bought session for a later class or the next Sunday but as we explained when we showed up, we were there to experience with our friends. This experience was so poorly handled that we don’t want to explore Pilates further and would like a refund of our classes.
