Fantastic experience: I've been attending for a year, and will be so sad when I have to leave! The coaches are all incredible, knowledgeable, patient, kind, motivating, skilled and everything you could want from a coach! Even in a full class of 60 they get around to everyone and give corrections and compliments! So many classes on offer all which all compliment each other. I Learnt and progressed so much since starting. Lastly, the staff are also always so welcoming and friendly and simple awesome! If you are hesitant about starting, I would encourage you to do so! The prices are also accessible which I appreciate! Apologies for how long it's taken me to review. Only thing I would encourage is for a gender neutral toilet!

Fantastic experience: Amazing gym. Great coaches, high level training and feedback. I joined here back in 2016 and never once wanted to train anywhere else. Marco and James have updated the gym and facilities a lot over the years and it looks better than ever. This combined with the attention to detail from the coaching staff make it a great place to come and train. Sad to leave this gym as I relocate, but hopefully, others will find this post and be convinced to give it a try!

Fantastic experience: 7:00am Morning MUAY THAI with TAYO. I've recently joined to do the morning classes. The instructor is very clear with instruction and attentive while the class is going on. Facilities are very clean and the atmosphere is really welcoming.

The variety and number of classes throughout the week fit perfectly with my busy schedule, allowing me to train multiple times. The general structure of the classes (regardless of the teacher), such as warm-ups with similar or the same exercises at the beginning of each session, provides great consistency and preparation. The instructors are outstanding! Theo’s calm and detailed instructions, with room for questions, make learning clear and effective. Magda’s personalized approach addresses individual needs, making even the smallest details easier to understand. Rodrigo’s No-Gi classes are a brilliant example of great methodology, starting with previously learned material and progressing to new techniques or alternative approaches. This helps reinforce learning. James’s and enthusiastic approach creates an uplifting atmosphere. His ability to engage with everyone and break the ice ensures that no one feels hesitant to ask questions, no matter how simple they might seem. Marcos’s classes are exceptional for their clear explanations and the encouragement to THINK in BJJ, not just repeat techniques. This has been invaluable for my understanding of the sport. I also had the pleasure of learning with Bader, who demonstrated exceptional clarity and focus on each student, even in a beginner’s group class. Negative experience: I had been having a great time at this gym, until one day I tried to help Carlotta (one of the Muay Thai trainers) with something she was doing wrong. She proceeded to tell me “don’t try and coach me, I have my coach right there (Jose) don’t tell me nothing” I proceeded to use technique to completely embarrass her in front of others, while she was being very aggressive, and it ended with her crying on the side of the wall. When I came back to the gym Jose wanted to “spar” me and proceeded to punch me very hard in the face and kick my legs very hard to the point they now hurt. Jose kept insisting he wasn’t hitting me hard, despite throwing heavy overhands and hooks and completely smashing my legs. It appears the incident has now put a target on my back, and Jose wants to teach me some kind of lesson. The whole situation was very weird. I will be finding another gym to train at that doesn’t try to beat up its students, instead sparring with technique so people can get better. I respect all my teammates and don’t come into classes trying to hurt them, this is how I was taught to spar. Moral of the story, don’t mess with Carlotta, because Jose will use it as an excuse to beat you up in front of others, who now somehow believe they are better fighters than me when I have owned them for so many sessions. Very weird energy in the gym, and sparring is not supposed to be about winning, it’s supposed to be about two people using technique and trying to get better. Would not recommend this place for Muay Thai. Only reason I’m giving it 2 stars not 1 is because until this happened I was enjoying the gym, even if the level for Muay Thai is very low. There are not many people who are at a high level at all.

Fantastic experience: Having first visited as a 9/10 year old when FZ first opened, I returned as a teenager and had the time of my life in what I believe to be the best gym in the continent. I’ve recently returned, again, and FZ has not lost its community spirit. I don’t think you could possibly go wrong with choosing this gym. Don’t listen any of the fake reviews they’re a waste of time.

Fantastic experience: Fightzone is an incredibly well run and welcoming gym. I come regularly to train no-gi BJJ sparring sessions on Friday evenings, where I’m impressed by the high level of Jiujitsu by the attendees. The staff are always incredibly polite, and the facilities are second-to-none. In general it appears a positive atmosphere in which to learn Jiujitsu, with many classes running concurrently over 3 matted spaces. A special thanks to Niko, who runs the Friday session - always a consummate professional and super friendly guy (as well as having a deep understanding to impart). Would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: One of the most welcoming martial arts gyms I have found in London. The way you’re taken care of by all the staff is incredible and has the community aspect of a small town gym with all the benefits of top level coaches you’d expect in London. I have trained martial arts in some capacity for most of my life and Can't not rate this place more. If you’re a novice or world champion, you’d find a great home here for your training.

Negative experience: I was let down by the training approach at this facility. It appears that the emphasis is more on catering to established groups of friends rather than welcoming newcomers. Despite attending several sessions, I felt neglected as my technique, including posture, movements, and footwork, received no corrections from the trainers. It felt as though I would have been just as well off watching a training video.

Fantastic experience: FANTASTIC PLACE!! So welcoming and friendly. Been going there for over a year now (mostly for BJJ but also yoga/pilates/HIIT) and yet to meet any ego or agro behaviour. It's in a way unisex and welcoming of all ages and genders... They have a really strong female crowd as well. It can get busy in certain classes (because surprise, it's awesome!) yet Marco and the rest of the coaches seem to remember everyones name... not sure how it's even possible:) You will without a doubt meet your new family there and even though (unlike certain clubs) you don't have to buy any of their kit to train there, you will be proud to do so. Update 7 months after post above: Still as in love with the place and the people as I was back then. Amazing spirit, amazing vibe and the support everyone gives to everyone else is gold. You will seriously regret not joining years ago.

Fantastic experience: Visited Fightzone London for a jiu jitsu seminar, and the gym is exceptional. World class facilities and was welcomed with open arms as a visitor to train. Head Coach Marco Canha is great guy and of course, a master of jiu jitsu!

Positive experience: Overall, first impressions were good, A well established franchise with world-class quality across all their gyms. The class had over 40+ students for muay thai, and that waters down the time the instructor can go around and help and fix issues with the students.One man can only do so much. The quality of the thai pads and body shields was amazing,no one is left out. So there is a real investment in their equipment and facilities.

Fantastic experience: Having been a member of other gyms in London, I can honestly say Fightzone is the best I've been to! The gym has a great atmosphere and has both lots of space (3 different rooms) and a huge amount of classes on. This gives no excuse not to go as there is always a class to fit busy schedules. I'm moving abroad, and really hope to find a similar gym in my new city as Fightzone has been a big part of my life for the past 4 years, especially the Muay Thai classes with Jose. It provides a flexibility in choice for those unsure of what to choose or who want to practice multiple; providing bjj, boxing, Muay Thai, mma and more. In its range however specialism is not lost. Leading most sessions is a true master of their respective field. There is a real sense of community here. I could not recommend it more.

Fantastic experience: My 13 Years son loves to be trained there.He said it is the best place so far after we been trying another three martial art places before.The teachers are great and professionall,they look after class and paid attention to small details of training process .There are children of different age but all of them respect each other,not aggressive behaviours allowed.

Fantastic experience: I had my first BJJ intro session with fight zone on Wednesday at 20:45. Immediately I knew this is the gym for me. I done a few sessions in another gym in bethnal green, but unlike fightzone, the other gym throws you in the deep end and expects you to already know the basics. I will start taking classes with fightzone from now on.

Fantastic experience: I tried gi and no-gi. For me, Sergy's classes have been excellent. From the first class, I took to his welcoming-but-no-waffling approach. Just enough moves and instructions to get everyone moving and learning. All in all, FZ is a fantastic community of coaches and coachees. Keep up the love. Fantastic experience: Awesome place to train, great spacious rooms (one particularly luminous one), multitude of classes so you can find the style of teaching or sport that suits you or combination pf sports you wanna explore at times that suits your diary, great teachers and community.

Fantastic experience: Our kids love Fightzone and really enjoy their jiu jitsu sessions. We’ve been in the club for 4,5 years now (omg!:)) All of the coaches are super nice and really care about kids, support everyone, pay a lot of attention to every child, know all of their names. We love it, because it’s professional, fun, they teach kids discipline and respect to others in a very positive atmosphere. Fantastic experience: Fightzone is more than a gym. It is an amazing community with loads of competent trainers who love and care teaching others to get better. They have classes going on pretty much from 7am to 9am so anyone can find a suitable slot. You get to train so many different martial arts to find something that you enjoy most or try to do it all haha the sense of community at the gym is one of a kind and it is always nice to come and learn from the best there. Also an exceptional place for women martial arts - women only classes for muy Thai, boxing and bjj available, however mixed classes are still very inclusive for women as gym has a massive women attendance and teaches great culture among on, so a great starting point for a new starters who never done any martial arts and more advanced. Tried many gyms in London and can’t see myself going anywhere else after fightzone. ❤️⭐️

Fantastic experience: The greatest gym of all time! If you are new , old , or just want to try something different . This is your place. I’ve moved out of London a couple of years ago and used to train BJJ with Marco and James, also some Wrestling with Josh. Long story short I tried different bjj schools in my area now and you can’t compared the level that FZ has . It is over the roof! And best thing is there is no ego , so don’t fell intimidated to start. This gym is very welcoming to any age or gender. Fight zone is one the top things I missed most from London and regret I didn’t train more when I used to live there. I’ve trained in 3 different gyms in London and Fight zone is the best gym hands down. Thanks James and Marco!

Fantastic experience: I have been a member of Fightzone since 2020 and it has been by far the best MMA gym I have trained at in London. The wrestling classes are my favourite and I always come back having learnt something new and feeling mentally energised. Josh, the wrestling coach, is not only a great wrestler himself, but amazing at breaking techniques down and leading sessions that are incredibly lively and fun. The atmosphere is welcoming and the reception team always look after the members, especially regarding health and safety. My only regret is that I’m injured at the moment so can’t train! But I still pop in to say hello to Monika, the lovely receptionist ❤️

Fantastic experience: I’ve been training at fightzone for over 3 years and I can’t say enough good things about it. The staff and atmosphere are great, training is top quality and the gym is constantly expanding the schedule and adding new equipment. Definitely recommend!

Fantastic experience: There is nowhere better to train with a competition record and incredible facility. As a beginner bjj hobbyist, there are times it’s hard to get up for a session, but the coaches and training partners make it easy to motivate yourself. Seeing the care coaches have for their students, and training partners progression is all you need to remind you that you’ll get there too. It’s a true community, there’s no chance you regret giving fightzone a go.

Fantastic experience: I just joined fight zone and at first I wasn’t impressed until I met Marlon (boxing coach). Very welcoming, his classes are inclusive and I can see how passionate he is when it comes to teach. Shout out to Marlon and Bill for being very supportive and for making me feel welcomed.

Negative experience: Crowded, and dirty, yet they do their best. BJJ in the morning is better and at nights, too many people. Most of the classes expect grappling and BJJ are in standard, rather low level and don’t prepare you for anything real. Unless you have a partner it’s a waste of time, there are smaller gyms with better results. It depends what you looking for.

Fantastic experience: My attendance is sporadic due to work but the coaches treat me the same as the guys that attend everyday. The community is unlike any gym I’ve been part of before. The facilities are constantly updated and the amount of classes are mind blowing. Combined with the unarguable success the gym has across all disciplines it makes you wonder why you’d want to be anywhere else in London.

Fantastic experience: Moved here a couple of months ago from another gym- best decision I made for my BJJ training. The coaches and staff have been incredibly kind and supportive- especially as moving from another academy at blue belt isn't always easy! The biggest testament to this, however, was the way in which an injury (part of the game sadly!) I had on the mats was dealt with the upmost professionalism, compassion and care by the two coaches leading the class that day. Being able to teach a complex sport like BJJ with the level of detail Fightzone does is one thing, but being able to support students to ensure they feel supported during both the highs and the lows is another. So, big thanks to all of you, highly recommend to everyone- wherever you're at with your training!

Fantastic experience: I've been coming to the BJJ classes for a couple of months now and I have nothing but good things to say about both the venue and the instruction. There's nothing quite like spending your morning getting manhandled by someone half your size to set you up for the day, I highly recommend it. I genuinely can't remember the last time I had this much fun.

Fantastic experience: I have been training at FZ for 8 months now. It is a great gym with friendly and knowledgeable coaches. Everyone that trains here from casual to pro are friendly and do their best to help one another to become the best version of themselves no matter their goals. The facilities are top notch and with the amount of classes held, training can be fit into almost any schedule. I’ve been training for years at various gyms but this is the best MMA gym that I’ve trained at!

Fantastic experience: Started with the free 7 day trial but was hooked immediately, and have been going here for BJJ a few times a week for months now. Lots of choice with classes and the mats are always cleaned after every session. The coaches and staff are really friendly, helpful and the BJJ community there is awesome
