Fantastic experience: Friendly staff, alot of equipment. Could do with another smith machine but apart from that I'm very happy with the gym and have cancelled memberships at other gyms for this one.

Fantastic experience: I was so nervous to go to a gym at 46 and almost didn't go! I am so happy i did though, every one working there was so incredibly kind and helpful! They put me at ease and and showed me around the gym. We were then left to try out the machines but told if we needed anything to just ask. The gym equipment is fabulous and i am excited to learn more! I did not feel silly uncomfortable or out of place once! So thank you and would highly recommend coming to this gym! UPDATE: I have been going to this gym for 4 months now, and I can honestly say my confidence has grown so much! I even use the free weights and don't feel silly! The classes with Derek are amazing and I really feel worked and its so much fun, my legs love me for it a few days after I am sure lol! I would definitely jump in and try them out if you get a chance! I have recently been taking some classes with Daryl and they have been a game changer, I see such a difference in form and confidence in myself, his advice and knowledge are right up there and he know his stuff! If you are looking to jump in and learn more check him out! I have also started personal training with Jenn, she has been amazing in pushing me outside of my comfort zone and holding me accountable. I also have some health issues that she has taken the time to chat about and understand, which is not easy to always share, but never have I felt embarrassed or awkward to mention if I am having an off day and we can work around the issue. I see changes in my strength and changes in my body, and also have such fun while working out and I highly recommend! Over all 4 months in and this awkward scared 47 year old mum is really happy to have joined and found such fab people and a fab gym!

Fantastic experience: Tsvetelina I had my first every gym class last week with her. I was really nervous but she made me feel so comfortable. Ensuring I knew what I was doing and if I wasn’t sure, she demonstrated the exercise again. I had the same class again a week later and she reassured me and told me I have made progress since last week which was nice to hear. Definitely recommend

Fantastic experience: I struggle with Anxiety, as well as having a neurological disorder which makes social gatherings hard. I got use to gyms similar to puregym, so i thought the transition would be hard and my anxiety would be the worst for the first days trying the gym group out. However, it was the complete opposite, usually i skip warmups and feel judged/anxious, but at this particular gym because the equipment is close together, there’s little time to think about anyone else other than yourself, I can get my warmup done and get through the workout without feeling any judgement. I got use to puregym because it had multiple rooms/levels for me to hide and be alone, but ive came to realize with my time at the gym group that the large open spaces actually made my anxiety and experience worse. The gymgroup also thinks about both genders, usually I feel like gyms focus on men and what men want/need, but theres various equipment that women want and need for their workouts, as well as areas where we can workout away from weightlifters haha

Fantastic experience: Fantastic gym, great location. Excellent facilities and staff always keep on top of cleaning. Daryl is a brilliant PT, really supportive, motivational and encouraging.

Fantastic experience: This gym is genuinely the most friendly and clean gym I've been to. The Fitpump class is really good, Derek is a great instructor. The gym and the class is all abilities and I would happily come at any time of day because I never feel judgement even being a plus size lady.

Negative experience: Incredibly rude male staff member. I had multiple errors saying my "pin was being abused" (used for letting multiple people in), when my friends and I use our own codes independently as we all have memberships. I explained this to him and showed him proof of each of us having our own memberships and me not abusing mine to still be greeted with an egotistical and snarky demeanor. Appalling

Fantastic experience: Since joining in January I have found the experience a positive one. Gym is always clean and tidy. Staff helpful when asked for help if needed. Have joined some classes which have been good! Peak times can be busy but this hasn't affected my capability to do my workouts. Equipment appears well maintained and broken equipment seems to get fixed promptly. Access is easy. The only one thing I would say is more classes would be a benefit as most can fill up quickly but assuming this will establish more over time with it being a new gym.

Positive experience: EDITED 16.01.24 my initial review: Update - My oversight and apologies re my comment on the E-Z bars. I now realise you have at least six of them . Would have given a 5 star. But too many members are leaving their weights on the equipment they are using instead of putting them away after they have finished their exercise. Leaving me and other members to move to re rack the discs they can’t be bothered to move. I have back issues and under rehab. When I have to remove several 25kg discs from any machine it does takes its toll on my back. The staff have been great and friendly and the gym is very clean and has a great atmosphere. Could do with an extra E-Z bar or two as only one available and when the gym gets busy it can be a long wait for that particular piece of equipment. Overall this gym is awesome

Fantastic experience: Amazing new gym! Really spacious between all the kit so you have plenty of space to train, and plenty of different equipment to use too! Even has a hip thruster machine to use which saves time setting up barbells! Everyone is super friendly and there's lots of different classes on offer as well

Fantastic experience: Been a member since day one of opening in Stafford. Not been to a gym for many years due to work and other commitments. Since starting back I’ve found a new lease of life and thoroughly enjoy my time here. Cleaned and maintained by the staff and cleaning team to a high standard. Recommend a trial to see if it’s a fit for you!.

Negative experience: Decent equipment and pricing but I've since returned to Staffords other no thrills gym as the layout of gym group felt way to open, bright and made me feel a bit vulnerable during my workout. Lots of cardio machines but not much of the rest. Also the classes aren't very diverse and again the class area is very open for all of the gym to see. Not for me even at £12 a month.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a member of the so called ‘top’ gyms, not now I’ve found ‘the gym’ - they have everything the same here under one roof (apart from a coffee shop and sauna which I hardly ever used )for a much better fantastic price !!!! All staff I’ve met up to yet are very accommodating and friendly - I’ll post again once I’ve tried some of the fantastic classes they have on offer

Fantastic experience: Well-equipped gym. The layout is a little odd. As you are doing laps of the gym moving between racks and machine weights utilised for the same muscle groups. But there are plenty of each machine to allow you to get your workout done without waiting for people to finish. Unless you want to use an EZ-Bar there only seems to be 1 of these. Overall amazing gym, small fine-tuning would make this gym top tier.

Fantastic experience: First visit today. Moved here as closer than a similar competitor. First impessions are great - open, light and airy. Also, the staff are actually visible and pass on advice - I was conducting an exercise with poor form. One of the PTs asked me respectfully what I was to achieve and talked me through the correct method. I am looking forward to booking my 1-2-1.

Fantastic experience: First of all, please bear in mind this is a budget gym that's open all hours and if that's what you want, brilliant. If you are expecting to pay this type of money and get what other gyms in the are equipped with for example saunas and ice baths you are mistakenly wrong. But for the money and late night convenience I cannot complain. So far so good.

Fantastic experience: Awesome brand new gym. Personally never trained in brand new gym and open plan gym are the best idea how was set up. Perfect machines and really high quality equivalent. And is cheepest gym in Stafford for sure. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: A clean and open spaced gym with lots of new equipment nicely spaced out so that you are not crammed in next to anyone else. I think there are five sets of cable machines, so ample for the size. A good area for classes (I have not been on any of the classes yet, but there are plenty to choose from and seem to be booked all the time). Whenever I have been there everyone seems to be getting on with their workout and not bothering anyone else, which is just what you want. Good atmosphere, clean and tidy.
